One of my favorite Burlington's in the state of PA. Literally torn between if Philly or Pittsburgh have been locations. This stores layout is organized, structured, and full of items! There has not been a time that I've visited a location that I haven't walked out with SOMETHING! I love love love this location, Burlington overall, and this location cannot be beat as its in the heart of the city AND fashion district. And from my last visit, the womens' section has expanded, the fitting rooms are available post-Covid anddddd the bathrooms too. read more

The store is a bit disorganized and it seems to be dimly lit. Although you are able to find bargains but you really have to search. As you walk in they have security guards to allow you in, just a bit different from the Burlington back home. read more

I shop at Burlington all the time I live around the corner from the 8th and market one and I go in there and I buy stuff all the time but I have noticed lately management staff it's very poorly and tried to fixing problems they seem to add more confrontational situations to the problem I went in the purchase two fish now I've been in here purchasing guarding things for my mother I never had a problem up until now with the Caucasian lady that's Management in there right now she has a very nasty attitude problem okay I didn't crack the fish the fish was already cracked I don't think that I should have paid to full amount that I paid for something that was already damaged okay they gave me the 15% off still the point I would still have to repair what was on top that was cracked one management gave me the 15% off I asked the Caucasian lady and she was very nasty about what she said to me she her exact words was I would have gave you 10%. She was being too kind that's not the way you talk to your customers that's spending a hard-earned money coming into your store to purchase things I used to work security when the real gallery was there so I know retail can be a bit crazy not all customers are nasty but if you take it to the next level with the customers of course it's going to a site of the problems I had a security guard walk up on the first management I wasn't doing anything for that to happen and then the next person comes up and she supposed to be the higher management now the friend of mine came in there before and security was following him around the store for no reason at all he wasn't in there stealing it's just one security guard that's always thinking he thinks he's RoboCop going after paying customers but yet while the other guys are stealing he's labeling out paying customers and that's not right and all he asked for was a management and it wasn't no manager on the floor that particular day and they wanted to call the cops on him and he came out of that store crying what I would have done I would have called channel 10 channel 6 or Fox 29 and I would have reported that because I don't think anybody attends to go out and shop and somebody else's store and be treated that way especially when they're not stealing and just the thought of you coming to spend your hard-earned money and to be labeled as a thief in your store is very poorly I thought that I would bring this to your attention to let you know that you need a fire to hire Management in there for allowing something like this to happen when I tell you from this point I'm going to make it my business that I will call the news and I will report your store for all your cracked items that you're trying to get people to buy the at full price and then to be talked to and a very disrespectful way by the higher manager if you're not a people person then I understand that you shouldn't have took the job that's the first thing they asked you upon working in retail are you a people's person but like I said I'm never going back in that store but what I will do I will make it my business to sit there to call Fox 29 and report the incident because I don't think any customer should be treated that way and I don't know where she just came off saying something like that to me was very disrespectful so I wound up leaving your products in the store getting my money back and going down to Ross and finding the same fish and I was very satisfied Ross will be getting my money from now on I will no longer be shopping in any of your stores because I'll be there to be labeled as a thief spending my money inside your store or being talked to and then he disrespectful way I wasn't nasty to the young lady and I'm quite sure I'm very older than she is and I'm quite sure other people feel the same way read more

If customer service is apologetic about security, that's not a great sign. Shopping online means no waiting, but you never know how long something might take. In stores, you're there to browse, explore, and shop. I thrift, so I also have to think about shipping logistics. Its not worth it no more to retail. They're excuse is loss prevention, yeah sure it is. THis company and other retails can do face recognition because there is no law. the corporations and private companies are protected and this is no good. but apparently different states are trying to barr the face recognition. read more

I've always enjoyed Burlington over the years in any location I've lived or visited. The prices, decor and overall product has always been well. This location is nice is size, located in vibrant Center City and ultimately very large, smelling wonderful. The customer service is challenging and both visits (I've only been to this location twice) I've left feeling underwhelmed and discouraged due to the lack of engagement and knowledge on product from staff. Today's visit was met with challenging conversation and engagement from the general/head manager this morning. He wasn't kind and/or helpful when needing assistance. Things seemed to organized and placed well; very spacious space! I browsed a bit today but ultimately decided to change my mind on purchasing items. I went into Burlington with my wife & one of their loss prevention crew kept following me everywhere as if I was going to steal everything in their store in Philly. First time going here & it will be the last. I did buy 3 shorts but that would be the last time doing business. But the lady that worked on the 2nd floor was nice. She directed me to the sections I needed to go and was kind enough to answer my questions. Hence why the 1 star. The prices are good. read more

I just spent $280 in your store and you guys can't even provide me with a bag and then when I asked where the bags were your customer service folks tell me that there were no bags because they ran out so I had to purchase a duffel bag so that I can carry my things and take them with me. I stopped in specifically in for neutral colored Nike sweatpants but didn't expect to actually find any. To my surprise, they had several colors and styles of Nike sweats in my size. The store was well lit, clean and organized. There was security and loss prevention personnel walking around, too. I went around lunchtime and while the line was a little long, there were 4 cashiers open so it moved quickly. I made out like a bandit with a pair of Nike sweats, a pair of Adidas sweats and a 76ers long sleeve shirt (perfect for pre-season starting soon). The retail price of one pair of sweatpants was $60.00 and I paid $57.00 for all three items. I rarely shop at Burlington, but I felt like the deals were better than other retail stores in the area. A bit of a disappointment. Some departments had absolutely bare shelves while others were a hot mess. Not sure if you can blame the customers or if the store was poorly staffed. Easy to find location on Market Street in Center City and close to the 8th and Market transportation hub. Otherwise, can't think of too much else going for it. read more

My 17-year-old daughter was there and had the unwanted attention of a man twice her age wanting to buy her things. She went to a security officer and the security officer asked her why she was there. I guess there are set hours. Teens are allowed to be there. The security officer aside, the bargains there are pretty terrific, but I would be nervous about letting her go back there by herself. read more

This store has the slowest cashiers I have ever seen in my life. The line is always wrapped at least 3 fold and they still move like there's nobody in line. It's 8pm right now. There were like 10 people in line and 3 cashiers and I still stood there for 20 minutes. The manager stood there behind the counter on her phone. So ghetto. I went to buy an Easter outfit and ended up spending over 100 bucks. I waited in line for like 25 mins and still didn't complain. But I asked the cashier to please make sure not to leave on any alarms because I didn't wanna have to come back for them to be taken off and I've had that happen before now, when I try to leave the store I began to ring like crazy so the security guard asks for my bag. So I tell him that I paid for everything but to please make sure the cashier didn't leave any alarms on my clothes so he says and I quote "Why you gotta make me job so hard?!" I stay quite. Well he takes about 15 mins taking my bag back to the register so I sit and wait and when he finally comes back he says "ok, you are good." so I leave. Now Easter comes and I go to put my shirt on and on the back there is a BIG ASS ALARM secured to it !!!! I absolutely6 could not believe that this store screwed up so royaly!!! So I call and they tell me to come back to the store with my Receipt so they can remove it!!! I didn't have time to do that so I just had to find something completely different to wear on Easter!!! How dare they tell me that I need my receipt in order for them to fix THEIR MISTAKE! what if I would have thrown my receipt away??? COMPLETE AND UTTER INCOMPETENCE!!!!! They aren't gonna give me gas money to drive back to the store but I still need my receipt right? They need to rehire new employees asap! read more

I had to stop in here for an emergency pair of leggings while we were playing tourist in Philly, so if you are a tourist and forgot anything, this is the place to go for sure. The registers are downstairs, as well as the bathrooms, and the whole store, bathrooms included, is very clean, organized, and I wish we'd had more time to just do some shopping before we carried on to Independence Hall. Next time I'm in Philly, I'll have some shopping to do. read more

Burlington Coat Factory is pretty much one out of the only two reasons why anyone in their right mind should go to The Gallery (the other being the cake stand that makes awesome photo cakes). It's still pretty awful, but a lot of the prices can be insanely worth it. When it comes to clothes shopping I'm generally an avid thrifter (and I pull it off nicely!). But their are just some things that you'd just be out of your mind to thrift - like underwear. So with that said it's pretty freaking awesome to know that there's a place where you can score Simpsons and Guinness boxers for $5 a pair. and you can walk away with a bag of 5 pairs of socks for $10. So it doesn't put the hurt on your wallet that the other god awful department stores are and hooks you up with some pretty chill stuff in return. And that makes it worth entering the worst mall ever. and since it has it's own front entrance at least you don't have to really enter it. read more

Burlington Coat Factory is both a hit and miss. There are good sales here, but you might have to spend ten times as long as you'd normally spend in one aisle, wading through the good, the bad, and the awful. But if you're patient, and don't mind trying on a whole lot of things to find a good fit, then this is the store for you. There really are some steals - such as $15 boots I got here on a trip this past fall. I've generally found the customer service attendants to be patient, helpful, and kind. Maybe they are more agreeable with me since I smile and greet them, too (this could be considered a rarity in the City of Brotherly Love, esp. at the Gallery). The store isn't fancy or flashy, rather, if anything, its gaudy and bare. You'll have to go visit and see for yourself -- experience the real deal. read more

My hubby and I found some great Nike shirts, dress shorts, and shoes here! Decent prices too. This was my first time at B.Coat Factory and I'm impressed. Do not attempt to see the woman in the fitting room by men's. She proceeded to have the authority to try and berate me. There's no reason to talk to me that way and she could've just explained it in a calm and rational manner if i was told differently by a co worker. I know my store holds me to a much higher standards. If i ever spoke to someone like this at my store i would coach myself and I'd probably be hitting unemployment . Best Burlington location I've ever been to! This place is HUGE!! The architecture is weird and it's mostly underground, but it is gigantic. They have an extensive selection of just about everything I can think of and you'd need a couple of hours just to look through everything. Their clothing and shoe selections are great, on-trend, in-season, and there are plenty of brand names to choose from. There are a few comparable discount stores within walking distance, but I think Burlington has the best selection in women's clothing, shoes, home goods, and food and kitchen stuff. read more

Representation is important! There was a table displaying Disney Princesses. There were NO Princess Tiana dolls and the "fantasy princess collection" that was on display with the rest of the Disney collection had a WHITE princess doll in the box. This was a very poor decision on behalf of the buyers to NOT have Princess Tiana, especially in CENTER CITY. This is very upsetting. I would like to see dolls of color in a store where African - Americans make up the majority of the population. I will not shop here for toys unless this is corrected. read more

Okay..I know..I KNOW it's a Burlington, and it's in the Gallery no less..but hear me out..this place is a straight up gold mine. On TWO separate occasions I purchased dresses at Macy's and Off 5th for over $90 only to find the exact same dresses later in the week for $19.99. You know those commercials that brag about brand names for less. They are not kidding. I now make this place my first stop for any occasion I may need. They have an amazing selection of dresses, shoes and every day casual wear. I am a huge fan of Jessica Simpson jeggings and 7 Jeans. I can consistently and reliably find them here for about a quarter of suggested retail value. Don't forget to take that harrowing elevator upstairs to check out the homewares section. While some of it may not be my taste, they frequently have great prices on candles, throw pillows and house accessories. Oh man, I almost forgot about accessories. If you need some trendy (think Forever 21), awesome earrings/headbands, necklaces, stop by the front of the store. Everything is organized by color and I have never seen anything over $10. Yes, this store is not the cleanest, and it may not be the most organized. Oh and customer service...what's that? But in all honesty I will put up with all that to bring home some awesome stuff without hurting my wallet. read more

Alright. Here is is Burlington. Burlington, I have a love and hate relationship with you, but I have to be honest on Yelp. I am a weekly visit to this store. I have always found amazing things, and happy with all my purchases for myself and my family.. But now comes the hard part. 1.) I am a nursing mother, and this Burlington has a nursing room for mothers since it has a Baby Depot. I had to call the company to affirm this, but in store I was stared at like a five headed hydra. Every time I ask to use the nursing room, it is a long wait to find the appropriate person with the keys, all while I am juggling a very hungry baby. The last time I went in there, there was a layer of dust on everything. Including the changing table with a dirty diaper. 2.) Home decor section, 6/10 items are chipped, ripped, or broken. Or there is a improv soccer tournament that I always seem to be on time for with the local kids. 3.) The ladies room is an absolute disgrace. Anything that can escape the human body, I have found on the floor. I go next door to Ross if I have to pee. 4.) Burlington is always ravaged. The jewelry is either broken, or partially stolen. Shampoos and conditioners.. Soaps.. All left busted without clean up. Locals really need to stop trashing the place. 5.) People steal shoes and put their old ones back. But other than that.... I stood in line at BCF yesterday for at least 30 minutes to exchange a shirt that I've been putting off because I just can't bring myself to submerge myself in the misery that comes along with this place. Yes, they have some good finds... IF you're willing to root through everything in the store to find them. Yes, the prices can be fair, sometimes even cheap.. but is it really worth it??? I don't know why I'm revealing this, but you're welcome. BCF is a secret shoe palace full of cute shoes under $30. And even under $15. If you're a cluster buyer like me, this is a place to hit up when you absolutely feel the need to buy 6 pairs of shoes at once without blowing your budget or your cover if you have to hide said 6 pairs of shoes someplace when you get home. The Gallery isn't the best of the best shopping in Philly...you could go to 5 Below, Old Navy, or just get some air-brushed t-shirts with your bff's face one them. BCF has some Gallery-like jewelry on display, but the women's dress section is classy, affordable, and cute. I'm gonna be decked out in Calvin Klein sheaths for life at work...unless I hit the lotto, then it's sweatsuits for life. My most recent experience featured a lot of employees walking around restocking, but also being really helpful. I witnessed an employee trying to locate the missing mates of shoes in the shoe section for a customer, and a man brought me over a cart while I was in the fitting room because I had decided to try on 16 dresses while carrying 3 shoe boxes. Perhaps this was because I went mid-day on my lunch break when most people might be shopping after work when those helpful employees are getting tired. read more

This is not a great place to shop - but sometimes when I need kids clothes in a pinch, it is a convenient place to go. You really have to search and dig (and I mean really dig) thru the rumpled, disorganized merchandise. Toddler sizes mixed in w/ babies - oh and there's a size 12 "big girl". What's that doing there? The store is HUGE and requires time and patience to sort through the racks but if you are willing, there are great deals to be found, especially on shoes, clearance items, and baby clothes. It does feel a little dirty and depressing, and some of the racks are really disheveled but it can be worth taking a look if you happen to be downtown. I would recommend Burlington for cute shoes and sandals for under $30. If you have a lot of time to dig through the heaps and heaps of clothes, alright, go ahead. But remember that many of them are very cheap quality and would shrink or expand after a wash or two. You should be very careful with the brand labelled clothes! Also, bag collection is nice sometimes. You would get good bags for cheaper prices and it's way more organized than the clothes section. I hate the gallery mall. But it is at least good that Burlington has its own entrance from the Market street. read more

Good selection of men's attire in a two-level store. Prices were reasonable. Many sizes but not always placed in the right place on the rack so required extra looking. Check out was much slower than it needed to be...no long line but cashiers move slow as molasses. My cashier was quite disengaged. read more

Let's be clear, this is not Saks Fifth or Bloomingdale's. It's not even Target in quality. But, Burlington Coat Factory is a place where you can go and scour racks of clothes, shelves of shoes, and walls of products to find some pretty good deals. I have bought half of my shoes from this place, a tie or two, and some pants. I've looked through other sections and I think there ate some deals to be had there, too. I call Burlington Coat Factory store The Hunting Ground. Why?? Because it's littered with the bones & leftovers of others. The ground floor looks like the day after Black Friday...every day of week. Good shoe department & you might find the 'perfect' shoe you for while shoveling boxes out your way. Housewares is on the 3rd floor & there's some nice stuff up there besides towels & bed sheets. This Burlington is Okay you cant expect it too be too grand in Center City where everyone from downtown employee, shopper, to traveler is breezing through. I always come in Burlington either for shoes or shopping for suits... Now BEWARE if you looking for a shoe on aise 1 it may be somewhere in aisle 5 but thats just how this store is mostly all jumbled together.
