Only two registers were attended and the lines were a bit long. I didn't wait long before Cheryl - a super helpful and friendly sales associate - opened another line and brought a few of us over. Thank you, Cheryl!! The selections are huge, the prices are reasonable (even cheap, when it comes to gasoline) and you will get your 10K steps in while shopping.

It doesn't get too busy and the parking lot is fine and perfectly well paved and the little bubble tea shop doesn't get enough business and it is cute so I wish that it did. Out in the Rochester Hills suburbs where it's pretty quiet, and a lot of the issues in Detroit don't extend too far up here.

It's at the very end of the village area, with it's own parking lot! Von Maur sells clothing and also does free alterations on items you purchase there. Lots of different sizes are available, including men's childrens and of course, womens. My mom and I love it here because they also have great markdowns and sales. Some of the clothing can be expensive, but not any more then other places. The service here is great, and we've never had a problem. Each department has their own staff and there's always someone around. They also offer gift wrapping upstairs, and have a charge card that doesn't charge any interest. I've gotten quite a few outfits from them over the years and it's been a great experience thus far.

I mainly came to this place seeking out geodes and crystals. I did see a lot of nice clothing on sale as well, but I did not have the patience to look through them. I was impressed to find loads of Amethyst crystas in different shapes and sizes. They were relatively cheap. They were for the most part really great quality. Sadly, there were some pieces that looked as if they were cracked or dropped, damaging the crystal. However, at the front they do offer a percentage off for that. I found a piece with a chip near the top corner and they gave me a small discount. They had a few other crystals and I was impressed to see how many they had in comparison to other stores I have visited. They even had soap stone animals, particularly a large elephany for only $20. I think the prices were fair and cheaper than most stores I frequent at that sell crystals. The line seemed daunting, but it actually moved really fast. Usually I am in line for about 20-30 minutes.
