There were a few items we needed to return, so we went to the customer service desk. We waited in line for nearly 40 minutes - with one person working the service desk. Finally made it up and it only took about 5 minutes since they were online returns and they just had to scan the barcodes and take the items. We shopped the grocery section of the store - it was not very well stocked. Most of the items we wanted were not available. Not a bad thing though, we didn't spend as much as we normally would. We made it up to the checkout and went to a cashier - that was a huge mistake (I should have done self checkout). The lady that checked us out should not be a cashier. She double scanned almost everything and we had to tell to her void the double scanned items. She threw glass jars into empty bags - and heavy items on top of eggs and bread - luckily nothing broke or got smooshed too bad. Of course, I missed one of the double scanned items - so, back to customer service I had to go for a refund... UGH! Don't make the same mistake as me -- stay away from this store!

I have had multiple appointments changed because an esthetician was unavailable, and since the pandemic, evening appointments have become extremely difficult to get. I continued going because I had a regular esthetician I trusted. Unfortunately, my experience this past May was especially upsetting. The esthetician I was scheduled with arrived 30 minutes late, which resulted in a rushed eyebrow wax. I ended up with a waxing burn that removed skin above my eyebrow. After that, I simply decided I would no longer book with that esthetician and would return to my regular person. I made an appointment with my regular esthetician months ago for this Sunday and confirmed it. About an hour later, I received a call telling me she would not be working that day. I was offered another esthetician, but after my experience in May, I was not comfortable doing that. The timing was particularly frustrating because I am leaving for a trip this weekend, so I had to scramble to find another spa that could fit me in before I leave. After 13 years, I have decided I will no longer be using Spa Nordstrom. Nordstrom used to be synonymous with exceptional customer service, which is why I remained loyal for so long. Unfortunately, my recent experiences no longer reflect that reputation.

After trying them on, it came down to two. Due to people moving things around and signs not always correct, I looked for a price checking machine. They used to have them throughout the store (I hope they add them back!) but I could not find any in the usual spots so I asked a worker. Instead of telling me where one was, she took me to the empty register and scanned both coats. Both were on an excellent sale so I wanted to try them on again for a direct comparison. When I decided, Olivia helped me at the register. She was quick and helpful. I love my new coat - and thanks to Punxsutawney Phil, I'll have about 6 more weeks to enjoy it.

I went up to the self checkout and they rang up $6.99. I said to the lady excuse me these are ringing up wrong. They're supposed to be on sale for $5.79. She told me I can go back and take a picture of the sign and bring it back up. I told her I just recently had back surgery and that really wasn't that convenient. I said can't you have somebody run back there or just change the price like you normally would do if somebody tells you there's something wrong with the price. She said we don't do that. I told her I would just pay for it forget it. And then when I was walking out, I was irritated, so I went back to the department and actually took the Cell sign that was on the item and took it to the customer service desk. They try to just give me the refund. I told them they needed to give me the scan rule because the lady decided she didn't want to change it. So I got back five dollars. She was sitting in a chair, heavyset blonde hair, African-American. I can barely walk after surgery, but I'm the one that had to be inconvenience as the customer. I did call their corporate number and left a message because I did try calling the store for over a half hour and and no one never picked up!! I usually go to the store in Southfield then Southfield Road. I will not return to that location!
