I have never purchased clothing from BCF. I visited a couple of my regular stores to no avail, and was on the hunt for a spring dress for a garden themed party. I had lost hope and walked into Burlington with zero expectations and boom...found a dress! I'm typically not a bright color person and while I loved the cut of the dress, I wasn't sure if it was right for me. Out of time, I planned to make the purchase anyway. I texted my besties (aka Emotional Support Team lol) to show them the dress and solicit feedback. I bought a trimmer from Burlington yesterday, but it wasn't working properly. After checking it at home, I realized it had been used before, even though the packaging looked brand new. Today, I went to a different Burlington location (since I was in the area) to return it. I explained the issue to the employee, but she rudely told me that I had to go back to the original store where I bought it and that they don't accept returns at her location. I told her I had purchased it just yesterday and that it's impossible to know if an item is defective without trying it. Despite this, she refused to process the return. I then asked her to write her name on the receipt so I could speak to a manager or someone higher up. Instead, she wrote something unclear. This has been a very disappointing experience. Because of this, I've decided this will be my last time buying electronic items from Burlington. I can accept lower quality for the price I pay, but receiving a used or broken item is not acceptable. read more

I've been shopping at Burlington off Freeway Blvd for years--pretty much every payday. I love the place. Great prices, tons of variety, and the staff is usually super sweet. You can find everything from toothpaste to towels, clothes, shoes, even carpets. And best of all, you're never stuck waiting in line forever. But last time I went, something felt off. The short guy working the front door--kind of intense--seemed to single me out the moment I walked in. He got on his walkie-talkie right away and started watching me like a hawk. Not the door. Me. Then he called Sacramento PD. They didn't show, so he called site security instead. While I was in line, he kept staring and describing me over the radio like I was doing something wrong. When I left, both he and security were standing at the door, clearly trying to intimidate me. I said something as I walked out, and he looked embarrassed. I called the store afterward and spoke with Jasmine--she was wonderful. Totally understood and listened. I really appreciated that. Honestly, I think that employee needs some serious training--or maybe a different role altogether. While he was fixated on me, two girls walked right past him carrying merchandise. Pretty sure they weren't paying for it. I still love Burlington. But I hope they address this, because no customer should feel targeted or uncomfortable just for walking through the door. read more

We stopped in to browse and were excited to see if we found anything that caught our eye. I've been to a few Burlingtons over the years and this location was fine. The clothing items were a bit disorganized and while I was happy to shop, once sizes and item types are more scattered it changes from shopping to a treasure hunt. They did have other sections that seemed more organized and easy to look through and I may have stopped by at a bad time after some shoppers rearranged things, which can happen. Maybe I'll need to stop again as the seasons and stock changes to see if the organization and other item variety improves. read more

This location is constantly closing early. It seems like the staff just random decide they want to close early so they do. I got to the store at 10:30 pm just had to run in for a dog bed since my dog got sick all over hers and needed a new one for the night. The workers had already locked the doors and were pushing them open only to let people out but refused to let me in. This is about the 4th time I've came here for them to just be closed at random times before the posted closing time. read more

This Burlington replaced a long gone Sam's Club. I missed Sam's and their cheap gas station also but they left during the recession. This store is HUGE! Very clean and has a large selection. It is my new place to get sick duds. Great clothing, shoes, household items etc. Better selection and more quantity of sizes (bound to find your size rather than and XS or 4XXXL) than Marshall's and Ross. Burlington coat factory was once a store that solely carried nothing but coats. Back in the day, the type of coats were subjective. Some were okayish, some were better, some just made you wonder what the buyer was thinking when they ordered them for the stores. The contents of the store has drastically changed. They've added clothes and " stuff". The inside of the store can't seem to escape looking like a rummage sale. Here's why to shop here- if you or your family are into sports like skiing, this should be your stop for those outdoor clothes. They one season and done clothing gets to be pricey. Burlington will save you moola, and keep you and your family warm. Will their stuff last? It will as long as the season. We did find some pretty decent quality outdoor wear. It held up through several washings on top of it. Decent quality. Decent prices. Shop their sales for the best savings. read more

Huge store full of bad clothes.... Poorly made.... Limited name brand! Store isn't too welcoming.... Employees never greeted or asked if we needed assistance. It's decently organized but it has so much clothes in the wrong section.... I found a lingerie in the men's active wear.... Then I see children's clothes in the men's clothes! I give it one star because it was pretty clean inside.... And even though clothes were in the wrong sections, all the clothes was pretty nicely hung up and nothing on the floors.... It's a step up from Ross.... But can't compete with target, khols, or marshalls.... Go to those places over this place.... read more

Probably the worst shopping experience I've ever had. Was shopping for a sports jacket and slacks. First none of the hanger tags had the right size plus there were no size dividers so you had to find the size on each individual item. Second store was short staffed so if you didn't know where the dressing rooms were you were out of luck. Third the quality of clothes sucked. I remember Burlington having better quality clothes. Line was ridiculous. Now the good part, customer service was great. The service person was so laid back in a stressful situation. Bottom line clothes are cheap quality. read more

Came in to return something I bought and I'm standing in line waiting. Not sure if it was just me or not but the girl with the pierced dimples seemed like she did not want to help me. There were only two registers open and I was next. There were only three other paying customers behind me. The first cashier was still helping out her customer. As soon as pierced dimples girl with brown hair was done, she left her register and went to the back. A minute later, she pops back out with two other lady. One went straight to the first cashier to help her with the customer, the other went to open up another cashier. Dimples went back to her register and legit looked at me, waited for the other cashier to call out for me, then proceeded to take care of the next customer. Does it really take you ten seconds to call out for the next customer or you just don't want to help out certain customers? I think she could've handled us customers without help if that was the case. The fact that she looked at me knowing I was next, did not call for me to come up and ring me up, was the annoying part. Please train this employee to better her customer service. The lady who did help me was super friendly and she is the only reason why I'm not giving a one star. Other than this incident, the place isn't too bad. Location is hidden, store is big. Right in the same plaza as Target but more towards Ashley furniture. read more

I absolutely in love with this store. The parking lot is HUGE and clean. It is so quiet outside which I love. and the store is amazingly beautiful inside. I love the style of it. I can always find whatever I need here from clothes to furniture. On top of that they have a huge baby department. Every department that is here is packet with stuff. The store itself is HUGE as well. I can even come here with my mom to hang out. However, the restrooms here are awful, I do not know what is going on there, but it is either toilets do not flush, or toilets full of poop. It almost always stinks inside. This store truly deserves 5 stars, however, the restroom situation downgrades it for sure. read more

I have been to a few Burlington's in and around town before, and in comparison, found this store, while large in size, to have little in variety, sizes, styles or even some interesting inventory, period! I searched for some area rugs or mats for my kitchen with zero results. Replacement kitchen towels in black or grey - zilch! Bras in my size? - Nada! Capri's in my size? Nothing fit! I did find a mirrored clock that I liked for my bathroom, but it had a chip on it, and the price wasn't marked down enough for me to consider it further. There were several aisles of housewares with lots of nick nacks, candles, gadgets, expensive coffees and candies, etc., but nothing I needed personally or on impulse. Some shelves were even a little sparse on inventory. While the store was busy, and apparently there was stuff available for those customers, I just couldn't find much for myself on that day. I know that Burlington Coat Factories get new merchandise regularly, so maybe I'll try them again when I happen to be in area and give them another chance. read more

New location in Natomas! I heard about this new location from a fellow Yelper and shortly after received a $10 off coupon in the mail. I took my coupon and happy lil self down to the new location to check it out. Apparently, I wasn't the only person who received the coupon. When I pulled in the parking lot it looked like Black Friday at Walmart! There were people flowing in, out and around the entrance. I parked and prepared myself for mayhem. The layout of the store is interesting. It's definitely a large store, having taken the place of Sam's Club. It's all one level and spread out pretty similarly to other Burlington locations. The selection seems to be about average. It's going to take some time for the clearance racks to fill up. I wasn't able to make a purchase this trip. I found items I wanted, but the line was wrapped around 3-4 times and down the isle. No thank you, a $10 shirt is not worth that much time on a Saturday afternoon! I will be back, probably frequently, especially before that $10 coupon expires! read more

Was forced to come here with my mom and at first impression the place is fairly clean. Ton of spots on the ground that a mop or zambonie can take care of. It's a lot like Marshall's and Ross so you have to do some searching. The crowd is a much nicer & better type of consumer. This is classier than Ross but Marshalls is a bit nicer. I did find a foam roller (14.99) and pack of 6 no show socks (5.99). None of the employees speak to you, which is fine I guess but they don't seem "unapproachable". Wow, this was my favorite Burlington to shop at and all of the Sacramento area until tonight... I called at 10 o'clock to make sure that they were open until 11 because that's what their hours are listed as an when I called the automated phone system also said they're open until 11 PM. I showed up at 10:30 and they have a sign on the door saying that they are now closed at 10 PM... the lady on the phone when I called standing out front of the door I was extremely rude when I try to explain to her that the hours are listed as 11 and so is the phone automated system. Pack a lot of patience to sort through the racks of clothes. I'm saying right up front, there are hidden bargains, but it's a hunt. Sometimes I walk away with nothing. I have better overall luck at Marshalls or Ross, which are both within a few minutes drive away. Pros: 1) They have a large selection of costume jewelry which is pretty decent. Modern designs. 2) All the staff I've encountered here have been sweethearts. 3) The majority of clothes are of less quality made overseas type with an affordable price point. Good for casual wear and the kids. Cons: 1) The women's dressing rooms are disgusting. There always seems to be dust and debris lining the floor. Dirt stained walls and seat. Last time I was here I heard one customer ask for another room because the room smelled. Yikes! 2) Very limited to virtually no brand name clothes. 3) The store is in an old SAMs Club. The store is wide open with lots of hanging signs for department areas. Went Christmas shopping for the hubby today and it is the wednesday before christmas and the line was about 20 people deep they only had 2 registers open and plenty of staff standing around. Eventually they did get a few more open as the line got longer. On a positive note, i did find some good deals, definitely come back after the holidays when the mad rush is over and things come back to normality. read more

THE NICEST BURLINGTON I'VE EVER BEEN TO! I asked the lady behind the counter if it was new and when she said it had been there for about 5 years I was amazed. Super tidy. Beautiful flooring. No visible messes (Some minor tagging in the changing rooms though I'm sure it's hard to keep up on that). My one issue w/ all the Burlington stores is the style of clothing offered in the big men's section. I'm 6'4" 350. I have a medical condition that affects my weight. I would like to see some plain style clothing offered. I sometimes leave empty handed because the clothes are too 'loud'. I already draw enough attention to myself as it is, and I would like to blend in as much as possible by wearing more plain style clothing. Other than this I have no problems shopping here. One visit and I was not impressed with this Burlington! This Burlington is unlike others as it is more of a warehouse verses a retail store setting. Tall ceilings and lots of space. But unfortunately though I found what I came for they did not seem to have anything else I wanted or an abundance of the item I was looking for. I complain about the chaos of the clothing at Florin and Elk Grove but at least the clothing is there. The other complaint relates to the service. This location is not being managed well at all. 3 tellers during the holiday season??? Have they lost their minds. I was tempted to leave because the line was moving so slow but when I saw the line grow towards the front door, I thought Fight the Fight! I stuck it out and made my purchase. Today was the last day that I will be shopping here! I had no problem coming here every now and then to get what I need on a whim.But I'm boycotting this store I went to purchase my items as usual and put all my belongings the counter .All my things were scanned by the cashier while I was grabbing my wallet to pay for the items.( at least what I thought). I put my things in the basket as they were scanned and ready to go. When I turned to go towards the door ,I noticed there was a item with a metal detector tag on it. I looked at my receipt and saw my item was not on there. So I told the cashier that a tag was on my item that I paid for as I went back in my wallet to look at my receipt. I saw the receipt that the item was not scanned. The cashier didn't apologize for missing it( as mistakes happen)but had this weird look on her face as if she did this on purpose or so.She took the metal tag off and rung me up again, again with no apology. As she was doing this I was thinking that this item was big and was on the counter when I paid for my other items ..so how could have this been overlooked???. Very strange... But I also found it weird the security guard was at the door was staring me down when I left. He was not there when I came Into the store.This situation could have went downhill for no apparent reason especially with today's false claims against minorities. This could of messed up my entire life as a professional! I'm angered and at the same time disappointed at Burlington. People be aware especially if you are minorities! Stay clear ! The ultimate bait and switch. Steer clear of Burlington. WHAT A JOKE! We came in because of an email we got for a sale on tank tops which they didn't even have once we got there. We also had a 20% off coupon, so we wandered around and picked up some stuff, checked out, the coupon only takes 20% off one item. NOWHERE on the coupon does it say that. It was all just a bait and switch to get you in the store. The prices are NOT nearly as great as they try to get you to think. So far, the biggest and cleanest Burlington I've been to! The other two I've gone to are in South Sacramento and Elk Grove, which are alright but nothing like this one (besides selling the same things haha). - It was very organized and felt so clean. It was just spacious as heck! I know Burlington(s) are always in a big building but this one just seemed so much bigger. - I would buy almost every kind of shoe they have here! So many name brands to choose from. Ladies, get your fall/winter boots here! :-) You won't be disappointed since their shoe selection is pretty freakin' huge as compared to other Burlington locations. - Saw lots of cute sweaters and coats, but didn't look through everything. I did manage to stumble upon a cute denim jacket in the juniors section! And guess what? It's from the Kardashian Kollection :-)!!!! I was super psyched, haha. And of course I bought it! - There wasn't really a line so checking out was fast. The cashier I had greeted me with a smile and she was quick with her job; thanks Destiny! :-) This was my first time here since I'm not always in Natomas, but I just love this Burlington. The customer service lacks quite a bit, and their practices seem to include racial profiling (based on their obvious insecurities). I love this Burlington location!! Definitely better than the one in woodland. Anyways they have a wide selection of clothing from juniors to men's and the jewelry section is must go to whenever you're there. However, this being my 3rd time here, customer service isn't as good as my last 2 visits. The ladies at the register are okay but they're not as friendly as they should be. I remember my 1st two visits I was helped by the same lady at the register named Paris. Paris was very friendly and talkative which made me feel happy. I left the store happy.
