My husband and I took our daughter and niece this past weekend to pick out some fun items for the weekend. They found plenty of fun items - from little trinkets, to skin care, to candy! This location had a whole Toy Story section in anticipation for the new movie coming out soon. Plus a Love Island (new season next week) section, even a K-Pop Demon Hunters section and some graduation items. Overall, the store was organized and clean. Staff were non existent - they were just chatting away to each other when we were checking out. While I know the name is Five Below, there are a lot of items that are over $5. I always end up spending way more than I plan on each time I visit, but I will give them credit for having different items that you can't normally buy in other stores.

Then by 9:53 I got to the checkout line waiting to see Robin at the register. While waiting in line there was a guy at the door... mind you they were locked, asking to get one item and she yelled from the register that the store was closed. Just so you know the store doesn't close till 10 so as I'm standing in line she walks to the door mid transaction from the lady in front of me and yells again through the locked doors they were closed. He shows her the time on his phone and says he just needs to get one thing, so she lets him in and he runs to the cosmetics aisle to grab what he needs. So he is then behind me in line and at that point he decides that he needs to grab one other thing and runs again to the cosmetic Aisle. My cashier Robin says she's not going to help him out and he's about to not get anything at all... yikes! She then asks a different cashier who is just walking up to assist him so they can get out early. That other cashier is extremely kind and takes care of the transaction and says "hey we are not closed till 10." Then turns to Robin and says " I know I said I wanted to get out early but looks like Robin is pushing for it". By the way, her excuse was saying that she had paperwork to do and so she needed to close the store early. Again yikes dollar tree!! Dollar tree seriously Robin needs some coaching on customer service and the etiquette of closing at 10 o'clock, not 9:51 but 10 o'clock. I would have given one star if it wasn't for that young lady with dark long hair, who was absolutely amazing. Thank you for keeping it 100 % girl hope you have a happy holiday if you see this. If there were more people like this young girl working there this location would get five stars. Just saying.

They had tons of snack bag potato chips and hot tamale candies. I thought what a steal for $4 and was surprised there were so many left but then discovered they are expiring within the next month but still a good deal if you're going to be eating them soon. We left with 4 items and that was in the short 30 mins I had to look. There are multiples of many items with random onesies of others. You can see the Amazon labels that have a description so that is helpful but some boxes do not and they ask you not to open them. If you are debating on something, do not put it down. I did this and a lady swooped in and grabbed it. Maybe because I went on day two, it was a relatively clean place. Its not like the Goodwill Outlet where craps is broken, dirty, and stinky. I didn't feel the need to go take a shower afterwards. If you understand what you are getting and not getting, You will have a better experience. You will not be getting customer service. You will have to dig and rummage. You may encounter rude people. You may find something, you may not. For me, it was worth the effort and I am anxious to go back. I also found this super cute black skull Betsy Johnson purse that I now regret not buying. They already had their Valentine's Day items out too! Probably the worst experience ever with the employee Cassandra. She was super rude and…read morecondescending. Gave me an attitude as soon as I placed my items on her cashier counter. Told her I'd wait for another cashier to be serviced by. The employee that ended up helping me had overheard the encounter and was super sweet, they apologized for her behavior. They let me know that Cassandra has constant behavioral issues and is regularly problematic with customers. Would recommend to never be helped by her, and hope she fixes her customer service issues!
