Not the best Ross I've patronized in the area. Been here several times and I can't fault the store, my experience is based on my needs. I primarily shop for candles, HomeGoods, and the occasional snack or two. In terms of shoes, wish the selections were better like they are at other Ross locations. Candle selection is pretty paltry consistently (based on the brands I purchase). I'd like to see more tennis shoe options in the women's section, which is one of the reasons I don't frequent the Natomas location. read more

This store has got to be the WORST Ross I have ever been to. And I hope it closes. The people running this store know how to make their customers feel like criminals as they close the dressing rooms and offer only two fitting rooms at the front of the store with cameras. I, a customer that was legitimately buying something from this store, just needed a just a shirt and needed it to be a quick purchase. Ugh! Was I ever in the WRONG place. First of all they have lots of merchandise but no one is in the store. And then there's one lady and security guard holding down the fort. That's it! So I wait for the only two occupied dressing rooms to be empty-side note I never see them unoccupied. Mind you this is supposed to be a quick trip. I wait a good 5-8 minutes. Nothing. So I find a mirror and try on my clothes in front of it-thankfully I had a tank top on to try on clothes. Then I find what I was looking for, went to the cashier area and there's a line of people because no self checkouts and one person running the store. Just a barebones operation. At this point just close down because you don't staff your stores with enough employees to keep the customer happy and you treat every customer like a criminal. Zero stars. I was waiting for someone to show me jewelry and then they forgot about me and started ringing up somebody else. Someone named Lucy comes out chewing gum popping it she comes in helps me see the jewelry after I'm done I say thank you and she goes mmhmm. I tell her that it's not a welcome after I say thank you. She goes I did I said mmhmm. The music's way too loud and it's not even for the season their store is a mess nothing was organized not merchandise instead of apologizing to me for how she treated me she started arguing with me think she's the manager but she's not dressed like one not acting like one and then I had to call corporate right then and there in front of them. Now they're going to get a visit from corporate and a walk-through because it's atrocious in there. When a store advertises dress for less, I wonder if they mean look less than your best self? Or that they're going to charge less money? Admittedly, I'm a total fan of what I call bargain basement shopping. These are the stores that great costumes for Halloween etc. come from. The fines are usually some unique items that can make any costume complete. What I shop here for regular day-to-day work attire? At this location, not so much. Yes, I realize the people do, but this particular location has always been a hot mess. The clothes etc. that this location carries are very outdated looking. The clothes and other items that this location carries look like something out of the 80s. The store is constantly in disarray, and it is not uncommon to find labeled hangers attached to clothes of a different size. So buyer beware always check your labels! I had gone in again recently to find some inexpensive stocking stuffer type items. They had some really cute men's socks, but someone had decided to miss match the different styles and sizes, and consequently, there were a bunch of lone socks. They look like they had been there for days, and no one wanted to be bothered removing them or fixing them. The checkout line is super frustrating. The cashiers are generally grumpy, and there are never enough of them to take care of the number of people in line. The guy that works at the return counter, will literally stand there watching people and listening to people complain about the one cashier that is there to take care of the line, and won't even make a request for somebody to come up to the front and help. Their return policy is just as crazy as the store shopping experience. So again, buyer beware, check your labels, and definitely hold onto your receipt. read more

Let me first say Ross is my favorite store but I avoid coming to the Ross in Natomas at all cost. I will drive to Roseville first. The ones are so long they ALWAYS only have one check stand open. The cleanest and most organized Ross I've been to. The cosmetic section has products bagged up so no one can mess with it. There have been many times where I've found makeup products that I like and when I opened it, it is usually damaged and salvaged. For once I didn't struggle to go through the shoe aisle. Usually, there are shoes on the floor; easy for someone to trip and their shopping cart getting stuck. And the shoes are actually organized correctly by their shoe sizes. They are low on staffs, even during the weekend. Long lines and slow staffs. You have to be patient during checkout. I found a few work attires (decent brand name like Anne Klein) for less than $10 each, so I was super stoke. Typically, I find one item and leave, but I was lucky at this store and left with a few bags full of clothes. read more

We all know how Ross stores are. Most in Sacramento have a lower to middle class clientele. This Ross is my home area one. It is super ghetto. They have security and make sure they protect against thieves with all the security tags/bag checks/dressing room counting of what you bring in/no carts out of the store etc. But they need to to protect their bottom line. It seems like they get hit with theft here hard. Aside from that, I used to shop at Ross stores when younger. Now I like Marshall's or TJ Maxx better as they are cleaner and have nicer items. Depending on the day and time that I go, I usually am able to find something I need or want. This store is decent, things are always hitting the shelves when I am there. I am always looking for that one special item for my home. I am usually here to buy home decor. I've never tried to attempt the clothing section, too chaotic for me. Not to mentioned the shoe section. Yikes! They have better pricing for home decor compared to Home Goods. They don't have much selections, but mostly, I find what I am looking for. I have to have an open mind when I am here. The checkout lines are never long when I am here. I get in and out pretty quick. So, it's best to go during lunch time on a weekday. One word: GHETTO. I hardly go to this ROSS because the parking and area is ridiculously concentrated. I decided to stop in because had finished my purchase at the neighboring Michael's Arts and Crafts Store and wanted to stop in check the store out. Goodness gracious I agree with some of the reviews that have indicated the store itself and the staff are lacking. This store was NOT clean compared to other Ross stores, the lines were insane and there was no stability in the chaos. I gave up the moment I could not find the items that I wanted and sat in the front waiting for my bf to be done with his shopping or browsing. I didn't want to go into the jungle and savage around the racks because there were way too many families shopping and too much disaster around the store. Here are some recommendations for the store manager or staff: 1. Hire more people to clean up and do go backs 2. Have more people ring up or be the cashier 3. Provide some type of sign that shows where you are suppose to line up or form a line because otherwise people are going to line up in ONE line instead of at each station. 4. Do not announce obnoxious things over the overhead. Common sense 5. Have more than 1 person manning the dressing rooms I will not shop here again. Too insane and crazy. The employees working today made an executive decision to close the store two hours early while everyone was in the middle of shopping still. She also got on the intercom to announce that anyone walking around the store that is not currently at the register won't be purchasing anything basically. The customer service at the register is also horrendous as well as half of the shopping carts not working, dirty shelves and floors, and products just everywhere. During our checkout, someone ended up stealing and the loss prevention lady at the front didn't even bat an eye while one of the gals at the register left to go check it out lol. Very cute selection but I feel like rosa has gotten lazy because of the pandemic. Instead of wiping down the dressing rooms after each customer tries on clothes (like other businesses) they've shut down their whole dressing room. This is very annoying. I had to buy clothes just try them on and after the third return they had the nerve issue me a Ross gift card instead of a refund. I splurged and purchased a ceramic jack-o-lantern from their selection of Halloween decorations. It was $17.99 which wasn't cheap for a small ceramic, but I thought it was cute. Got it home and saw they had put the price sticker right over a large chip in the ceramic. It was really obvious they did it on purpose! I'm really disappointed knowing they tried to sell me a known defective item. Lousy trick! I will return it tomorrow which will involve another 20 minute drive and a wait in line. Dirty deal, Ross!! Horrible Customer Service. I was in line waiting with my toddler to pay for a good 15 min, and was called up to Register 3 , but because I had items that needed to be exchanged, they said they couldn't do it, only Register 1 does returns and I had to go back in another line (Returns line). So I go into the returns line and the cashier at Register 1 just leaves her area and starts hanging up hangers on a rack... then another girl comes up to Register 2 and they call up someone from the purchase line.... I asked what happened to the Register 1 cashier? When am I going to be helped? The cashier at Register 2 said she does returns also but they take turns calling up someone from the returns line and the purchase line... even though the person she called up was way behind me in line originally. Finally I'm called up to register 2 to be rung up, and my returns aren't even worth anything! They were originally $13 each and since its past its 30 days and I didn't have the receipt they were now worth $1.99! Worst return policy ever... KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS!! I had pots and huge decor and a toddler to get back to my car without a cart.. as you can't bring your cart outside of the store. I had to take my toddler to the car, leave them there and go back and get my stuff. I hate to say that, but I didn't know what else to do, and no one offered any assistance. Not all Ross stores are created equal! Located in the Natomas Marketplace, this is a very good Ross! The store is large and boasts a very good selection of items (more than other Ross stores in the area). Things are always pretty clean and items hung on the racks. There's almost anything you could need clothing or home accessory/decor wise --- furniture, paintings, decorative pieces (vases, globes, etc.), suitcases, jewelry, purses, shoes, active wear, swim wear, career wear, casual wear, etc. Staff here were very helpful and friendly. Checkout was quick and there was no line. Pro tip: 10% off on Tuesdays for Senior Citizens. read more

Shoes Shoes Shoes! The only reason I was here was in order to finish my costume selection for a 2008 megaparty and I needed fake boots: not fake boobs, boots! I normally don't wear boots because my legs are stubby and I have work-out calves, nothing that Paris Hilton would fawn over. In addition, I don't like leather boots because a water stain could be seen a mile away and add in that I have a dog, she might make a beef jerky session with one of them. We ran over to Ross since Payless Shoe Source failed to have a good selection of cheap-ass boots. Lo and behold, I came across a fake boot set for $22.99. I tried them on and they did not look too bad. Minus a star for not having larger mirrors....the view was cut off by my ankle, not good. However, put a star back on for having Joan & David Circa shoes that I was adoring after. I normally purchase these shoes listed at $89 but shoot, they were here for $30! The lines here moved faster and since it is at the end of busy mall, getting your car in/out is much easier. read more

A wretched horrible store that lacks human decency and common sense! My mission at Ross was none other than to get some new bed linens (needed a change of color and thread count). After a few trips up and down the isle looking at the so-so choices available I made my decision. To the counter I went (with what i thought was a brand unopened linen bedding set). I made the purchase with my debit card (pin required) and away I went. Within in 10 minutes or so I arrived home and opened the new purchase. To my dismay the linens had been used. This was clearly evident by the speckling of what appeared to be blood and the sheen of a large illusive white stain that sat in the middle of the fitted sheet. BIO-HAZARD!!! Enraged I immediately call the store (number printed on the receipt) and demand to speak to a manager. She tells me I can bring the items back to the store for a refund or exchange. I return to the store where things tumbled even further down hill. I was asked to physically show the store manager the stains and was offered a refund in the original form of payment, instead of the cash I asked for. read more

A Ross is a Ross is a mess... err... I mean, Ross. This Ross is like most every other Ross I have been to. If you are in the mood for a treasure hunt, this is a good place to go! Be prepared for lots of chaos, disorganization and random pieces strung about. However, you may just come across an exciting find! One thing about all Ross locations is that they generally have the same stuff, but on the rare occasion that you find that sparkly treasure, you better snatch it up because chances are it won't be there the next time you come in! Overall, not a bad location, but don't go here with too many expectations, unless your expectation is treasure hunting! read more

I went in to Ross on 3/13/22 I went in to there fitting room and it was very dirty and security sensors on the floor. They definitely have a loss prevention issue. I haven't shopped at Ross for clothes before. Just shoes and a bag when I needed one. Today I had to snag a last minute outfit/dress and grabbed a couple. I saw a sign stating to wait to be issued some ticket or tag before trying on clothes. I stood there and no one was there. Waited. Nothing. I took a few steps forward and this old lady sprints out of nowhere "NO! NO!" In a thick accent. "Put items here. Wait." She then searches two plain single layer dresses better and longer than a rookie TSA agent. No joke. She went over every stitch to see if I hid an ottoman or something in them. So weird. I tried on two. Picked one. Came out and she jumps me instantly jumps on me "Put items here give back tag!" She then strip searches the garments again. Forever. I let her know I actually wanted one...She takes the tag that says "2" that she gave me 3 minutes prior and then checks the two dresses AGAIN to make sure that there was...Two. I'm not going to steal or hide cocaine in these ten dollar dresses. Good lord. That was an experience for sure. Only went there because my work was close by so stopped in at lunch. Only to be treated like a dress thief lol. I get that you want to issue the tags and go through the garments but seriously this old lady went over every single inch then checked again to make sure there were two identical (but different color) dresses. I won't be going back to that store. Gave me the creeps. Rude, hard to understand staff guarding their cheap threads like rabid dogs. I came here with my mom and we saw an accent chair we really like but had no price tag on it. I asked a employee on the floor and she said she don't know it either but may cost up to $100. She told me to go ask someone at the cash register so they can check it up for me. So after we roamed around the store and was ready to pay for our stuffs, I asked the lady who was helping us at the register if she knew how much the chair was. She told me that there should be a price on it. When I told her there isn't any tag on there, she asked another employee and they both still don't know why there was no tag on the chair. My confusion is why is there a furniture out on the floor with no price on it? Is it just there for show and tell or is it there for sale? None of the employees knew the price of the chair and none of them cared to even asked or tell the manager about this. We cannot buy the chair because no one knew the price...The only thing the cashier told me was she can look it up if the chair is in their catalog but she did not. After she rang us up she just called on the next person in line. I figured it was not worth the effort to waste my time with such horrible customer service and just left the store. Black male security guard just stared at me when I walked in. None of the staff at the checkout spoke either. The security guard preceded to follow me around the store and stopped at the end of the aisle I was shopping on and just stared and walked to another aisle. Never spoke just stared. I've never been in this store in my life and won't be back. I really needed the items I purchased or I would have put the stuff back and went elsewhere just based on being harassed. I'm sure he felt stupid as I paid for over $200 worth of merchandise. I understand loss preventions job and all but don't make your customers feel uncomfortable and harassed while shopping. Great place to find some bargains on brand name clothing marked down to reasonable prices. I like to shop here for fresh items for my work wardrobe-as I hate spending money on clothes for work! You can usually find some good deals if you're willing to dig through the racks, and the last few times I've been the store seems cleaner and better staffed than in the past. You can also find some household items here- kitchen and bath etc.. I got a great set of sheets for my guest bed room for less than half of what they would cost elsewhere. read more
