The value at any Burlington is good. The selection is usually alright. That is not my complaint. The organization and customer service is, however. Can never find anyone. Lines long sometimes during the week. Always long on the weekends and after you have spent an hour trudging through things all over the walkways and searching for assistance to no avail, waiting in a long line is not an ideal final step there. Disorganization is even worse than average here. When the average is already not something to be proud about. Also problematic is the sad fact that there is no reliable way to know if they have something that another location has, and sometimes even when I call ahead, they do not have what they claim to have had. So sad far as the selection goes? I guess sometimes good, but it is pretty random. One way to look at this is as a treasure hunt, but not always in the mood for hunting! Are the good deals worth the physical stress? Next, should I choose to accept my mission, have to ask every time I see something I want that, yes, is a great deal, whether when coupled with the long line awaiting me at the finish line, is this still such a great deal? This particular location at Wonderland off I-10 is probably the cleanest, most organized I've been to. They are usually well staffed and the lines go quickly even if they are long. Security is visible and there's usually someone on the floor to assist if needed. I don't normally see items on the floor or even misplaced. For the most part, I can find what I'm looking for either for myself or for gifts. read more

Honestly amazing selection and its massive. But when I went to return 2 pairs of pants they treated me like a criminal. Questioning me about when I bought them . Why my phone number was not in the system and why did I not use a card . No one has ever asked me for a number in the system before and also I like to pay cash as much as possible. I was open and honest saying I did not have receipt. I told them store credit is fine since I ship here often. They said no returns over $20 so I said let's do them separately. Was waiting at the fitting rooms, when a bunch of people got up from the chairs, we then turned and sat, this lady rudely comes up to us and say there's no sitting on the furniture. I had never been in a Burlington Coat Factory until about 6 months ago. Not sure why they named it that because they have everything from home decor items to Johnston and Murphy shoes. The best way I can describe it is like a Marshall's on steroids. It's huge and a very large selection. When you first walk in, you feel like you are walking into a store that should have been popular 20 years ago. Its okay, overlook all of that. I picked up a Ralph Lauren Suit for $189 there yesterday afternoon. I also saw a very affordable pair of brand name dress shoes but left them until next time. The service here is non-existent. They had two checkers in the entire store and I waited in line for about a half hour to check out. Normally this would annoy me, then I remembered how much money I was saving. Bottom line, outstanding prices, large selection, but don't expect to find anyone that can help you and don't expect a speedy checkout. read more

There isn't a time when I don't enjoy coming to Burlington. Everything's cheap, I mean big brand products come cheap here so u might want to take advantage of their winter coats. Personally I love cooking so the kitchen products for me are the best and are the cheapest. In particular the cast iron pans range from $10-$20! Yuuuuup, that's cheap! Clothes for the little ones are cheap as well so if u have kids, get goin! read more

This store is one of my favorites! When I go shopping, it is certainly one of my monthly treats. However, I do not like nor understand being followed around the store as if I'm a criminal, when all I want to do is obtain some decor at a reasonable price. Especially when you are suffering from social anxiety, it can be quite uncomfortable. At the very least, you should introduce yourself to me if you follow me. I drove 20 mins across town to come to Burlington. Online and the answering machine when you call the location says they close at 9 pm. When I got there at 6 pm someone was waiting at the door and said they weren't taking any more people today. I called, and someone said they do not close until 9, but reiterated that they were not accepting any more customers for the rest of the day. I then told the lady they should update their information because that's not what the machine said. She very rudely said, well we aren't taking anymore people today so.. Needless to say, I won't be shopping at Burlington anytime soon. I was so excited to get back out and get some things but I'm very upset I wasted my and gas because Burlington is dispersing wrong information. You should really fix your information before you piss off a lot of people. I've seen dozens of people get angry when they're turned away.. if you're going to be open, make it by hour or amount of people in the store at a time. This is confusing and ridiculous. read more

The problem with being big and tall is that places to buy big and tall are lacking. As a result it's either buy online with out trying on or go to Burlington. Let's start with the location. It's ghetto. I am fearful of my car getting broken into every time. The elevators and escalators to get into Burlington seem Soviet Era at best. Now the store. The lines are long no matter what time of day. The clothing is never in the right spot. I have gone numerous times to the 2xl rack and it's 4xl all in it. The prices are decent though. Also be careful when leaving they are notorious for leaving security things on clothes. read more

Bought some beautiful coats for my mom who was visiting from Massachusetts and sent her home with a few coats for my younger siblings. My mom was in awe when she saw how large Burlington was and all of their selections! I have already returned there twice in the past week. I found some great bargains on shirts, and a nifty pair of planters. The selection is huge, clothes, housewares, luggage, etc.! The staff was enormously kind and helpful! Kudos! I the only negative note, the a/c is busted and parts of the store feel like a sauna! C'mon, Burlington! You're a huge company and your staff and customers should not have to suffer this heat! Desperately needed the fitting room as we were in a rush to get to a fashion show my boyfriend was walking in. He needed black jeans and he's a tall dude so he has to try stuff on. Fitting room was closed. Spoke to several workers and eventually the manager who absolutely has the power to let someone in the fitting room, came. She said they weren't caught up from the night before in the fitting room, which sounds like a management problem. I have a lot of leeway for retail and the service industry as I've worked in it for year. Never in my life have I denied someone that truly needed something as simple as opening the fitting room for two minutes. I joked that he would try them on in the back of the store then, and she said she would call security. So not only is their customer service terrible, they also don't have a sense of humor.
