The value at any Burlington is good. That is not my complaint. The organization and customer…read moreservice is, however. Can never find anyone. Lines long sometimes during the week. Always long on the weekends and after you have spent an hour trudging through things all over the walkways and searching for assistance to no avail, waiting in a long line is not an ideal final step there. Also problematic is the sad fact that there is no reliable way to know if they have something that another location has, and sometimes even when I call ahead, they do not have what they claim to have had. So selection is sometimes good, but it is pretty random. One way to look at this is as a treasure hunt, but not always in the mood for hunting! Are the good deals worth the physical stress? Next, should I choose to accept my mission, have to ask every time I see something I want that, yes, is a great deal, whether when coupled with the long line awaiting me at the finish line, is this still such a great deal?

I don't like the new stores so I thought this store would be way better but I was wrong. I got overwhelmed being here because everything is so close together. I kept having to walk around because I didn't fit with my shopping cart in most places or there just wasn't space to walk into certain areas when other people were there. I used to like how things were sectioned off. You'd walk to one side and it was kids clothes, then you'd find the toys or whatever but now it's all basically stacked together. There is really no organization. They downsized to save money (I assume) and they never have any employees on the floor. There's always just 2 people at the register

Anyway, it is a great mall great shopping well laid out very clean. Very safe has nice parking options, including a garage and a couple of different places that you can use. I used one of the garages this morning outside of Dillard's. Helped shield the car from the heat and me too. :-) I really do have a great selection of stores and shopping and they also have good prices that can be found, including great sales and some of these wonderful flagship stores and the mini special entrance stores inside the mall.

These days we go once or month or so to take his mom shopping for things she needs. Her go-to spots are Saks and Dillards. You can tell that back in the heyday of malls North Star would have been deemed awe-inspiring. The mall itself is very clean and spacious with all of the typical shops you expect to find (anchor stores, smaller stores, etc.). Lots of food options including The Cheesecake Factory and others. Easily accessible from the highway. And, who can forget the best part and my favorite part? The legendary and ginormous cowboy boots sculpture(s). In fact, the largest boots in the world.

The parking lot couldn't handle anymore people and it looked like a fight was about to break out over parking. We managed to get inside and... Since when is it the Macy's Club? The music was bumping and at my age, ear plugs were a necessity. The amount of cologne I sample-smelled was incredible considering I wasn't even by cosmetics. We go up to the second floor and now it's starting to feel a little more relaxed. The sales person we encountered was nice and helpful. We made our way up to the third floor. No more bumping music or seas of cologne. Yay! Cookware!! We're looking around and there are no prices, yet everything seems to be discounted 40%. Also no registrars were in use. We ended up researching pricing online and found msrp and typical markups. Didn't need the salespeople afterall. We head back down to Club Macy's and I spot the Origins section. I love Origins. I wanted things, but again, no salespeople. I suppose we could have waited around to buy something, but sometimes online is just easier. Also saves the hassle of the parking lot.

I placed a curbside order for a…read moregreen Five Star folder with prongs, but the curbside employee first brought the wrong color, then returned with the correct color but the wrong style. When I tried to explain both times, she interrupted me, walked away, and spoke to me in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. After going inside, I found the correct folder myself in less than two minutes. At Guest Services, instead of listening to what had happened, the employee assisting me repeatedly insisted the curbside worker couldn't have been responsible, even after I explained that she had personally returned with a different folder. I had to ask for a manager because I felt I wasn't being heard. Even the simple exchange became unnecessarily confusing until the manager stepped in. I understand that mistakes happen, but there is no excuse for rude customer service or dismissing a customer's concerns. I remained polite throughout the entire interaction, yet I left feeling frustrated and disrespected. I hope this store provides better customer service training so future customers are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.

But I really liked how the Target cafe with the in-store Starbucks had fantastic and friendly baristas who assisted me with my orders for my iced sugar cookie latte and my first snowman shortbread cookie of the season :D ! It also helped that the Target cafe had much more seating compared to the traditional hectic and busy Starbucks so that I could actually have a place to sit and do my work :) ! I didn't get a chance this time to shop throughout the store because I was trying to get all my day errands done in a jiffy and I had a tight schedule. But for sure, when I have more leisure time to truly check out this Target location, I certainly want to be able to enjoy my coffee and snack either before or after shopping throughout the store :D ! Target has some great deals :) !
