Unacceptable Treatment Toward My Husband I am writing this review on behalf of my husband, who was treated extremely poorly by an employee named Patrick. When the register kept giving an error, my husband suggested moving to another machine. Instead of considering that the register might be malfunctioning, Patrick insisted the issue was my husband's card and spoke to him in a dismissive, unhelpful manner. A short time later, another customer experienced the exact same problem on that same register -- clearly showing the machine was the issue, not my husband's card. To prove it even further, another employee stepped in and rang him up on a different register, and the card went through instantly with no issues at all. There was absolutely no excuse for the way Patrick treated my husband or for refusing to simply try another register. This level of customer service is completely unacceptable and needs to be addressed. read more

I have found the workers to be always kind, Polite, and helpful when I needed help. The floor of the store appears well kept. You can find good deals on clothing, but it takes a little while to look. As another reviewer remarked, the bathrooms are a horror. I don't know how the people who work there can stand it. read more

30 day return? Nope more like same day. Bought Hubs a pair of sandals that he worn around our complex block to see if they fit, they didn't. Since then, they've been in our closet so I tried to return them a whole 21 days later & the cashier was basically implying they've been worn multiple times. Seriously? The sole had the price tag on it & I was told at purchase not to take it off if I planned on returning it. Guess they should've told me to only wear them on carpet too. The cashier at the register told me I should've returned them the same day if they didn't fit...well, we're a 1 car household, both work FT & humans that's forget things. Ugh. We came here this morning and as we were walking in the store, two guys ran out with a bunch of stuff so she felt the need in her dumb mind mind to accuse my brother without even knowing him. Burlington is an excellent store full of different types of clothes and sizes for everyone's comfort. They try their hardest to keep it clean when the community decides to trash it up and not put things where they belong. This company also has many robberies, and they can't call the police or take the stuff back... Because why? In my opinion, this company deserves a lot more respect from others I see them trying their hardest. When I purchase and take my stuff back I get my money back because I try it on and if it doesn't fit I take it off (KEEP THE RECEIPT) and I take it back at my convenient time not taking weeks though I take a day or two so I can make sure I get my money back as of needed. This store isn't bad people are picky and I truly think that if stealing comes up you're doing something you're not supposed to. they don't go after just random people. I have seen it myself. I rate a 1, it's a department store not online shopping, the dressing rooms are never open you purchase guessing if the fit is right, otherwise waste your time returning purchase Unfortunately, you may as well order from Amazon and not try on save some time. Extremely rude girl working fitting room this evening around 7:15 pm. Had an attitude, accused me of stealing, raised her voice. Not a safe or inviting air. Train your staff how to have some class. And if they have no interest in providing polite and friendly customer service, fire them, bc they don't want to be there anyway and it infects the entire shopping experience for the customer. Don't give this store your money. Force them to close this location or get a better staff. They like to accuse people of stealing with nothing to back it up! I went in on a Wednesday morning mostly just to shop around before work. I can tell you the EXACT route I took through the store and every single item I touched!!! No I didn't purchase anything because they didn't have anything I wanted! So as I'm walking out the manager Cassandra tells me to never come to her store again. I ask why. She says somebody saw me put something in my purse. My big wide open Micheal Kors purse that has NO zipper. It's completely open. So I open my purse for her to see and once she saw that none of HER stuff was in my purse instead of apologizing or righting her wrong she WALKS AWAY!! I ask her to look at the cameras. Nope kept walking. I ask for the general and district manager information and they refuse to give it to me! I Refused!! They know they are wrong!! Wrong wrong wrong!! That's ok though I will be making formal complaints! I call to ask for the district and regional manager information and they put me on hold for almost 15 minutes. Cassandra finally gets on the phone and gives me corporates number. Where I did call and file a formal complaint! I run a business myself! I am a manager and her customer service skills SUCK!! She definitely needs better management training. People literally get killed over shit like this. False accusations instead of a simple conversation! How sad! Good Luck Burlington! My money will be going elsewhere from now on. Your deals are not worth the hassle, headache, false accusations, worry, stress, and everything else in between. The only way to right her wrong is to have her apologize! I can almost guarantee she knew in the moment that I opened my purse up wide that she was wrong! Hopefully this matter will be taken seriously and something will be addressed because had you caught the wrong person on the wrong day I guarantee it wouldn't have been that civil! I really just came here to say that while I know every interaction may not be the same that's just it every interaction is not the same!! Just because the real thief that you confronted ended up going off and making a scene does not mean the person I was falsely accused is going to do the same thing! All Ms Cassandra had to do was say to me nicely that she believes they had a situation and she would like to talk to me about it instead of automatically accusing me. Almost no stock, and what was there was so disorganized you could find anything. No coats anymore. The prices were about what you'd expect in a much higher end department store, but without the selection or service. If you manage to find something you might like, you can be sure they won't have it in your size. We used to go there when we wanted a discounted selection of coats and jackets and perhaps of shirts, etc. Nothing to buy there now. Searching for a new overcoat, I reluctantly agreed to check out Burlington Coat Factory in early October 2017. This store is nothing what I recall from my prior experiences with Burlington's in Florida... it was akin to a Ross but with the offerings of a K-Mart. In addition to their decent selection of coats, Burlington sells a little bit of everything, but the flea market version. While there were designer underwear and clothing, it consisted of unusual patterns and emblems. The clothes all seemed kind of dirty and slightly used. The store just has a general uncleanliness feel to it. Unless you are in a pinch, I would avoid this Burlington location. You are better off waiting for a sale on a coat or visiting Ross if you need something else that is sold here. read more

Visited the store, Burlington, in Westminster. I bought a purse end of February and it ripped and broke. I went in to see what they could do for me and the manager on duty, tall thin woman with short hair, was not wearing a name tag, was super rude with her behavior, told me how dirty I was and the purse was even though the issue was the rip on the strap would no longer work. She would not even look up my phone number for when I purchased the purse as they've done every other exchange or return I've had. I've never had an issue with this before. Tried to call to speak to John who is the store manager apparently. No phone number for that works. Called corporate, they ended up hanging up on me as well. I will take my business elsewhere. Wow. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. During my visit I was asking one of the store associates a question and a supervisor named Mel came up to the associate, scolding her for waistline her time talking to me (a customer). I felt extremely unvalued as a paying customer. After that it was as if Mel was following me through out the store, assuring I didn't talk to any other associate. I don't know where they found Mel or how they allow her to portray such rude behavior to both customer and associates, but I will be making sure corporate knows about this experience. The lady who closed on Tuesday, February 15th 2022 should really loose her job. Me and my family decided to stop by 44 min before closing. We were greeted in a rude way at the entrance, first thing she said as she approached us is "we are closing in 10 minutes". She should resign and I hope her boss sees this. Yikes. What did I just walk into? When I stepped into this store, I didn't expect to be drafted into a war zone. God bless the troops, but have you been near the shoe racks at Burlington Coat Factory? Enough said. You can buy your life's supply of fake fur coats here. Lucky you. So if some PETA freak spills red paint all over you, no dirt off your back (or any animal's back, either). You can come back to Burlington and get another one. Kudos. They also have real-ish fur coats here too. I'd say they're real, but check the label if that's your style. The entire store is usually a mess, but sometimes, it's all you got when you're in the area. Hit or miss, really, but that's probably what you were expecting. read more

I really like Burlington for lots of stuff. They do have a good selection of name brand coats like Michael Kors and Calvin Klein but they also have a good selection of baby stuff, jewelry, accessories, clothing, kitchenware and home décor. It's much like a Ross or TJ Maxx. I do like to shop around and kill time here for sure and I always find something I really like. The prices are sometimes a steel and sometimes pretty average but good overall. The store is well stocked and clean. Good service and parking is good. read more

Not sure what I was expecting...look at the name of this place- Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse. I immediately envision a sweat shop, with an array of sewing machines, underpaid children cranking out coat after coat with a terrible boss overseeing the entire operation from high above, pacing the cat walk like a panther stalks it's prey...shouting out orders, complaining about not hitting projections, the high price of zippers and why button holes are so hard to find when they fall off the darn coat. Nope, that's not it. It's just a store. More like an upgraded Thrift Store, with more "thrift" than coats. And don't let the name fool you, they have jackets too! read more

This store has way more variety than just coats: tops, pants, active wear, shoes, jewelry/watches, hats, luggage, purses, home decor, and more! Their prices are hard to beat, so I find myself here from time to time. Today, I popped in on my lunch break around 1 pm. I grabbed my items quickly and headed for the checkout. There were only 2 lanes open, and the line wasn't long, so I wasn't worried. In the end, the short line lasted close to 15 minutes. I shudder to think how long it would have taken on a busier day. I'll be back, but I certainly won't be in a hurry when I return. read more

its a huge Burlington coat factory but it doesnt have a mens big and tall section, and being a man whom is both big and tall, I would be happier if it had one, but I guess I should drop some pounds. IT has a great selection of sheets, bathroom stuff, housewares etc..... Sometimes they seemed to not have enough people on register, but is you're saving 50% I can wait an extra 5 minutes. read more

My family and I decided to stop by at 9:15 (45 minutes before closing). As soon as we entered we were greeted very rudely. The manager said she wanted to close early so we had to be out within 10-15 minutes. We did our shopping rather quickly, she announced on the intercom that all costumers needed to come to the front. As we were paying for our items, a customer walked in and was asking to grab something quick, and they'd be out before 10. She refused him entry and caused a scene. About 3 minutes later, a woman came in to shop and she (the manager) proceeded to let her into the store after refusing the other costumer. And her only explanation was that she was able to close early at any time she wanted and she had the "right to refuse someone for any reason". Annoyed the man walked in to get some socks. As my children and I were exiting the store, she said to me that she was sorry we had to witness that, and she had the right to close early and refuse him service if she wanted to. Very rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. I love Burlington overall but workers like this make it hard for me to want to continue to shop there. read more

I go there and I'm not expecting the quality or staff of Macy's, but sometimes I do run into them. I find the store similar to Marshall, but much better than Ross. Certainly people are looking for deals and can be messy, sorrily, shoplifting seems to have increased in our population so clerks, managers have to pay attention to customers, not always in a good light. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This store is horrible. I went in and found a coat I absolutely loved so I purchased it. About a week later I noticed one of the side seams was coming out. After a week of normal wear, it should not have this problem. It is a defective coat. So I took it back. I had the receipt, I gave it to the clerk at which time she said we cannot take this coat back it has been worn, of course it has been worn that is what I bought it for. If it was not defective I would still be wearing it. So I asked to talk to a manager. The clerk called for a manager. After 20 minutes of waiting for the manager , I left with my defective coat. I ADVISE NOT GOING TO THIS STORE, YOU WILL JUST BE THROWING AWAY MONEY. read more

I don't like to write reviews for bad stuff, but this has to be out there. We did a a layaway for Christmas to save a little money...boy were we wrong! We found out that 2 items we had on layaway, another family member already bought them the same thing. We went to the store to payoff the layaway and return the 2 items (about $150 worth) and was told that we would only be able to get the store credit and could not get cash back! We paid it all in cash!!! Then we asked about cancelling it because we were mad and they charged us $30 to cancel!!! What a ripoff! When I asked to talk to a manager, a team leader came and told us there is nothing they can do. Read their return policy (not just for layaway)...it is unlike any other store we have ever been to!!!!!! read more

This place is comparable to Ross for sure. The selection is not that great. The styles seem out of date, almost like they received last years clothing that did not sell from department stores. The customer service is usually horrible. I went in to return some items and was ignored in the line that an associate was moving to a different line. I stood there while she helped every other guest but me until I said something. Her response was she did not see me...but she moved everyone else behind me? Whatever. I will not be going back here. Warzone is the best way to describe. I realize it's near christmas ( one week away ) BUT this place was a COMPLETE pig sty. I was surprised, walking through the store and seeing employees chatting it up . I think I would be fired if I worked somewhere and the floors were as dirty as this place; clothing displaced underneath racks ,over racks, the carpets need to be vacuumed , things are just all over the place; basically an employee has not made an attempt to clean organize or pick up after sloppy customers in a while. There are some wicked deals though ; hello BCBG for 50 bucks!! I would suggest inspect your purchase THOROUGHLY before paying.. I would be pissed if I bought something only to bring it home and find it was obviously a victim from prior shoppers being careless. read more

won't be back. i was driving by this place and had a credit so i stopped in to use it up. i found some pots that i was looking for and then went to the line to check out. OMG. i've never waited so long in a line. there was only 2 peeps in front of me when i got there but it really was painful since those 2 did either did layaway or online purchase since the cashiers had to go all the way in the back of the store to get their stuff then start scanning their items. really?! if i didn't have that credit i would have walk out without purchasing anything. won't be back. read more

Ugh! Now, before you blame pregnancy hormones for my reaction to this place, read first! I went in looking for a baby glider. On the showroom floor, there were four to try out. I found the one I wanted and looked, and looked and looked for some help placing an order. NO ONE was around(I wonder how many people shoplift at this place because no one is watching). I am nine months pregnant combing through isles looking for help. After 15 minutes, I found someone who could help me in that department. She went into the back for another 15 minutes and came back out and told me that none of the gliders except for one uncomfortable one was in stock. I asked her when they would get more. She bluntly said. I DON'T KNOW. I asked her if there was anyone around who did. She said NO. I asked if there was a manager who knew when. She said NO. I asked her if I could get it online, she said NO. So basically I was sitting there, had waited for an hour to find out that no one knew anything, nor did they care. I went to the front and asked for a manager, A kid who looked like he was 14, said he was the front of house manager. I said I just wanted more information on the gliders in the back. He replied," hahaha, what's a glider?" Seriously??? You ask a pregnant woman what a glider is and you are a manager? I asked for the Back of House manager, come to find out, it was the lady who "helped" me find the glider in the first place! NO THANKS! To top it off, my husband gave me $600 to get the things I needed and had I received better service, Burlington would have gotten that money. Instead my purchases were divided between BuyBuyBaby and BabiesRus. Sad that this was their version of customer service. Hope their business lasts. read more
