One piece is at the bottom of the door which holds the rubber seal in place. The other piece is a weather strip on the side. For five months, we've been trying to get them to uphold their one year manufacturer warranty for parts and one year warranty for installation because we have mice coming inside at the seal. The seal isn't chewed. The mice can push it up to get inside because the piece used to hold the seal in place is cracked. We've tried to talk to them several times about the situation and would consider paying them additional money for an upgrade but they won't call / e-mail us back to help solve the problems.

So once she had stated that to me I rushed home to see what the problem was, because we do live in Chicago and recently we have been having been having some crime happing with people stealing stuff. I went inside and printed the coupon, and he accepted it just like that. Talk about honesty. Service call (2) two: Cook County, Illinois 60622. I requested Dominick, and was hoping this serviceman was available in the Chicago region. The operator put in a request, and sure enough, Dominick arrived on the same day I put in the service call. It's not like my garage door issue was an emergency or anything (it just jammed every once in a while when I tried to close it), but he arrived within a couple hours from when the call was made, simply replaced one of the sensors in the garage, and the mechanism was working smooth - like new in about (20) twenty minutes. Ultimate Garage doors was the first place I called. Their estimate seemed reasonable but being one who likes to "push the envelope" I decided to find a cheaper estimate. I called a few more places only to find that they were significantly higher. One place was almost double the price......and the kicker was this: this was the company who installed our garage doors when we built our house---(so as my husband so eloquently stated: "We probably paid too much for our garage doors and the openers!") Ultimate was out within the hour and then did the job in about 45 minutes-----even though the temperature outside was a balmy 18 degrees! The technician was kind enough to wait for me to come to the property and pay him with a check even though I was supposed to pay him over the phone with a credit card! With all that being said, I'm not sure why I don't see more reviews for this company. They did good work in a timely manner.....and it was very reasonably priced. They can fix anything, but they've really honed their skills on garage doors. My family, like many others, uses my garage door every day. It opens at least 25 times a day, . If you add the opening and closing of the door's , it's probably around 10,000 times a year. But here's the thing: my garage door was heavy and noisy. It was a real struggle wearing out my garage opener. Kevin, the technician, came to my rescue. He accurately weighed the doors, calculated the right springs, tensioned them correctly, and tuned the door to a gentle close. My wife is so happy since the garage door no longer can be heard in the upstairs bedroom every time someone comes in or out through the day. The Door Doctors did such a fantastic job on my first garage door I decided to have them work their magic on my other door even though it was already operational. When I compared it next to their work it was very obvious it was originally installed by total amateurs! Now both of the doors operate smoothly, and our counter balance to weigh almost nothing. The cost was very reasonable. At my new house , the garage door seal was falling apart and was not a standard type. One of my openers didn't work also and the other one was 25 years old. Pat came out and was able to replace the seals & seal mounts on both doors. They're now a standard type I can get at Home Depot if ever needed again. He also installed (2) new Liftmaster WLED openers, which are super quiet and have battery backup and really bright LED lights. Best part is the app that lets me open/close and check status of the doors from anywhere. I had a trouble code about 3 weeks after install and I contacted Pat to see how to resolve. He just stopped by and readjusted the sensors at no charge. Great service, great pricing and really nice guys.

The door is original to the house from the mid 90's and the torsion spring cracked and side cables broke. Consolidated Garage Doors did the original install as their sticker was still displayed but their company has moved from Addison to Batavia. I called and someone answered right away. They were up front with prices over the phone and had someone out within 48 hours. They did tell me someone would call me about an hour before they showed up but didn't get one. Mike came to our house, assessed the entire unit, and recommended a strip on top of the door also be replaced. He didn't pressure me nor did any sales pitched to upsell me; he gave me the space to think and confirm what I wanted done. Work was completed in 45 minutes as estimated, payment was easy to make on my card without any 3% surcharges, and our door is working great now! I am so happy I was able to call the original install company, I was thoroughly impressed by their initiative to come out and repair items, and like their eagerness to check all other parts while out here. Initial visit was great with Pam showing the range of garage doors available - a lot more than you'd think! They made it easy to choose. The following week they installed the doors as the color and style we wanted was in stock at the manufacturer's warehouse. The installation took about 1/2 day and was completed professionally. We had an issue as the manufacturer did not include some window inserts we had ordered, but the following week it was installed by AV. I would definitely recommend Adam and his team.
