We've used them for spring repairs a couple of times, but when our 23 year old garage door basically folded in the middle and we couldn't get the door down we need his help urgently. I called at 8 am on Dec 14th and Zaid had his guy out by 10 am that same day to get the door down and provide information so we could select a new door. We placed our order for the new door with him the next day, but with concerns for long waits for building materials, bad weather headed to our way and Christmas just a few days off, I didn't think we would have the new door, before the sub-zero temps hit. Happily I was wrong. Zaid's got the door and he and his team had it installed before the freezing weather hit. The spring on our garage door broke on Saturday July 3. A lot of companies were closed to celebrate the July 4th holiday, but these "guys" made a late afternoon service call to replace the springs. They were friendly and professional and they definitely knew what they were doing. In no time at all the springs, cable, a couple of rollers, and a support bracket were replaced. Despite it being a late afternoon/evening service call on a holiday weekend, the cost was less than I had expected to pay for repairing just one spring. Excellent service and great price. We called GDG 4 years ago to repair a broken spring. At that time, we knew we needed to replace our door but opted to wait a little longer. Well, 4 years later we decided it was time before it stopped working and then we were rushed to get a replacement. We had Costco come out and give an estimate. Typical big box salesman. Called Zaid and boy, what a difference. Not only was his price lower, but the customer service is the best you can get! After our new door was on order, the old one stopped working so I called Zaid and he was able to move the installation up for us. I was preparing for a garage sale so there was a lot of stuff in the garage. Zaid said to not worry about it and sure enough, his guys moved what they needed to and were very respectful of the property. No garbage left around - it was like nobody was even there. My husband is in the trades and is very picky with anyone else's work on our house. He RARELY gives out compliments for that sort of thing. He texted me the day the new door was installed (he got home before I did) and said "You don't even hear it go up! These guys did a really nice job!" He even texted me a picture. Amazing Service. I called Ziad based off the reviews here. It was 9:00 Saturday night, the night before Easter and my wife had to be at work Monday morning and the garage door was stuck down. I called Garage Door Guys and Ziad (understandably) said he wasn't working Sunday and was full for the next couple of days. He was at my home within a half an hour. Explained that we have a broken spring and exactly what needed to be done to fix it. An hour later, our door was working far better than it ever had. The price for working at a moments notice on a Saturday night was reasonable. Ziad explained everything he did and a few other tweaks he did to the opener. It was sorta of like he id a tune up to our entire door and opener along with the spring replacement. I cant recommend Ziad and his crew enough. They are the garage door Gods! read more

That being said, I called, talked to Zaid, and said he would be out tomorrow between 12 and 2. He also called when he was on his way. This review is late in coming. We did a complete exterior remodel in 2019 (siding, roofing, gutters, windows, door, driveway stoops and garage door). Out of all of the contractors, this was the only one who came in, did the job, and it looked like a professional did it. This was also the only one who did not cause damage to other aspects of the property. And, this was the only one who did not have to return to fix things! They fixed my spring and garage door after it broke. I paid them and it was guaranteed for 2years. When the pin started coming out a few weeks later, I called expecting them to fix it. They fixed it but charged me another $80. And then blame it on an older door. Oh, maybe the first$175 , where you put it together. And guaranteed, if it was done right. So in the midst of the polar vortex, our garage door decided to break. Wednesday made an appt for Thursday morning. He promptly came out and fixed the broken cable. Then ontop of that he was quick to point out that our springs were too large for our small door and the motor was being overworked. ( the motor has been super loud, we had no idea why). I called on a Sunday late morning 12-1-19 to see if I could schedule an appointment and they came out that same afternoon, on a Sunday!!!! I received a quote the following day. The price was fair just not the birthday gift I was hoping for. I asked for the next available appointment since its wintertime and wanted my car back in the garage as soon as possible. Installation day was Thursday and it took about 3ish hours. They did a wonderful job with great communication. They left my garage just as clean as I had it ready for them. Once he arrived he was very professional, diagnosed my issue in less then 5 minutes, fixed it quickly for a reasonable price and told me in the future I will need to replace my springs with a more safer way to open my garage, told me I do not need do this yet, told me how much it is is when I am ready. I just found this company on Yelp and called them to fix a door and opener that was no longer working. It was not an emergency but they were here the same day and fixed it within an hour. A plus: I asked if I needed a new opener (mine is ancient). They did not try to sell me a new one but said that they thought that I could get along with this one for awhile longer.
