After four messages and a month of waiting I have not gotten one response back in regards to the work that needs to be complete. My floor chipped the night the installation was finished and the floor board was supposed to be replaced. The molding was not secured adequately so it is hanging off my wall. The door stop was never put back on resulting in a hole that keeps getting bigger, and since the drywall had to be patched in multiple places during the installation, my newly painted walls needed to be repainted. All of these were easy fixes, but I guess since we made the mistake of already paying them, it wasn't worth their time. I am extremely disappointed in a company I thought had integrity.

The GHI cabinets were certainly a struggle to install due to no fault of your company. With every remodel, there are always issues that come up that were not planned. Issues we felt there would never be a solution and we got worried. We understand the work hours are not 8-5 pm and that some days you can only spend a few hours a day to work. Some days we were upset with the progress, but we totally understand you put family first. We would do the same thing. Our kids were young once and you just have to stay home with them to help get over the issue. Being a parent is a wonderful gift of God and it comes with challenges. You are an excellent parent and father, and family man. You certainly had your own family issues during that remodel that was not planned. Your truck broke down two times and had to solve all those issues as well. What amazed us the most was, you always kept a good positive friendly attitude and solved it all. After we finalized the last payment to finish the job, we contacted GHI Cabinets to obtain the hinges and found them very easy to work with. Your ingenuity solved the issue of the trim boards around a door and plane the trim boards to ensure the correct thickness worked great. It was dangerous work, but you did it safely, and it looks great. The original estimate to repair our garage, install two new windows and remove the old one, repair a gutter, remodel a kitchen all came in within budget. Allowing me to help, plaster, paint, and do 15% of the work also helped to stay on budget. I could have used your strength to help remove the Florescent Light though, that was much heavier than expected. It made me realize how hard it really is. Did the work but I give them a B- for quality. Could not paint because it started snowing. Within a few weeks a board came loose, and it took several calls to get them to come back and fix it. Spring came and they never returned to paint. After several calls and discussions about what "Paint as needed" written on the contract means. Today they came back to paint. They only painted the boards they replaced not the whole thing. It looks poorly. If you use them make sure you have everything they are to do spelled out in the contract. I will not be using their services again.

Though he worked on it for quite a while, he didn't charge me for it. The Professional Locksmith seems like a good, honest company with knowledgeable workers. Another company told me the handles were beyond repair and needed to be replaced and quoted me $300, but Jayden fixed it for half that.

When mold showed through the ceiling of the room below the shower and the mold remediation contractor cut through the ceiling it was clear we needed to consider replacing the shower and much of the subfloor. Serious perusing of reviews on yelp led me to JRW. Just one phone call made me hopeful. First they re- grouted the shower pan/wall connection so it could be used until they had an opening in their schedule a few weeks away to replace the shower. Finally the big day came. Joel (the owner) sent me photos (it was a tenant occupied home) everyday and explained every step of the way what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He respected my decisions. He also picked out materials subject to my approval - and I always said yes because his choices were excellent as well as in budget. I had been concerned of the impact of a big project with workers in and out every day for a week or so on the tenants. I needn't have worried, the day after it was complete the tenant emailed me unsolicited and said that the workers did a great job: excellent workmanship, seemed trustworthy, respectful of the tenants and house, cleaned up everything and though they hope no more issues arise, they said if workers are ever needed there again they would hope it's the crew from JRW. Two small issues arose unrelated to this project (sticky door and gutter issue) and Joel took care of them for a minor charge. Most mom and pop landlords will tell you- the dreaded call from a tenant that something is broken causes you a few minutes of angst trying to figure out who to call to get it fixed.
