We needed service for our septic to be pumped out and they responded right away and their pricing was very competitive. There were two men that arrived and they had to dig up the top area above the tank. It was scary, but they did a good job and were very knowledgeable and notified us of a few issues that we were not anticipating, although our septic is very old, but has been well maintained and time is a testament of how long things last. Beware!!!!! I just closed on my new home in Hesperia, which has a septic tank. Burns septic was my 1st choice for my septic inspection. Upon inspection, they let me know it would be an additional $200 because they needed to use a camera to access the pit. I agreed. Then, they told me both the tank & pit of the property I was buying "failed" certification and allegedly needed to be replaced. They offered to do so for $8700. Come to find out, Burns is infamous for failing tanks that do not need to be replaced, and that they make their own tanks - therefore getting people to buy new tanks brings them significantly more profit. I had a second opinion done, and sure enough. System passed and did NOT need to be replaced. For a new home owner. $9k is a lot to have to fork out, it is truly horrible they prey on people and end up convincing people to replace tanks that did not actually fail certification. Furthermore, the camera footage I paid an extra $200 for - apparently gets erased after 24 hours, they do not tell the client this, nor do they ask the client spending extra money if they might want this footage. There is no proof they actually did this because I have seen no footage, and according to the second company Burns Septic lied to begin with. I would recommend NOT using this company AT ALL. But if you must, please get a second opinion if they try to fail your system!!! I cannot imagine how many home owners fell victim to their scheme because they trusted their word and paid to replace their tank without a second opinion. Also, Chrissy/christina in their office has no customer service. I have worked in customer service in many fields including food service, Disney, IT, and construction, I know what good customer service is and she lacks it entirely. She speaks over you while trying to explain things, talks in circles trying to convince you they're right and you're wrong, and overall clearly isn't well versed. Not to mention, her "manager" told me the video footage would be available despite having checked my appt date that was more than 24 hour prior. But then they try to tell me they don't save footage past 24 hours... which is it? Do not trust this company. read more

Had work done by Burns company to replace the septic system. But when the work was done, the front yard was destroyed. I understand the cement divider was going to be ruin but the gravel could have been prevented.. They could have at least given us an opportunity to removed the gravel so it wouldn't look this bad. When we called they say that is has to be done and cannot be avoided. There can be better preparation before the work so that this wouldn't happen. Burns came out with a crew and backhoes driller equipment real nice guys got the job done in a few days totally happy with all the work they did. Backfield was nice clean work. Update: September 7, 2018 This is an update to the review I posted on September 1, 2018. You should read that review first and this updated review second. Once again Lexi called to let me know Frankie would be showing up to install my two risers. He showed up on time. Since the two holes dug by Jeremy and Ricky were not wide enough to fit the risers, Frankie had to widen the holes. After that, he removed the existing concrete lids and placed them where I asked. Looking down into the open septic take, I could see that Jeremy was right when he had told me it would probably take about 2 weeks to fill up to its usual level. It was now just one week since the pumping and the liquid in the hole was well below being at the full level. Frankie then placed the first 2-foot riser into the hole, which was 2 1/2 feet deep. He put the green lid on top of the riser and used very long screws to screw the lid into the riser. Finally, he shoveled dirt down the sides of the riser and then on top of the riser lid. He repeated the process on the second riser. The entire process was very painless. Now I just need to buy a small fence (or something similar) to mark off the area so no one accidentally drives over the top of either riser (which cannot be seen beneath the dirt). That would be a disaster since risers are not meant to hold the weight of a car on top of them. As with Jeremy and Ricky, Frankie was very friendly and answered all my questions. When I spoke to Lexi before and after Frankie's visit, she was her usual friendly and fun self. I've already updated my calendar to have them return around August 27th, 2021 for my next septic tank pumping. read more

Video evidence proves worker caused extreme damage on purpose to my divider wall with a breaker bar . First off!! Why would you use any tools after pulling lid up especially a breaker bar. First he uses a shovel and realize it's not getting Job done then grabs breaker bar. Worker lied to my face not explaining his steps taken and Forman Paul McClain couldn't explain workers actions. Worker also broke my tank lid and foreman admitted to worker breaking the lid. Worker claimed lid was already broke and a brick was used from another septic company. they know I was in escrow and was trying to Jam me up 8 grand for new tank. Beware!! read more

Terrible terrible company. They tried to scam us out of $8,500. We sold our house last month and they came to pump the septic tank. My husband wasn't home at the time and I don't know what I'm looking for when checking a job like this, so I just let them handle business. A couple days later they called my real estate agent and told him my seepage pit didn't pass inspection and I'd need a whole new one. Thankfully I got a second opinion. Unfortunately they had to charge me $1300 to certify and correct the terrible pump this place did. I have had this company out twice for septic pumping and once to identify the location of my septic system to find out if it is a septic pit or leach field type system prior to building a detached garage to make sure heavy equipment does not drive where it should not be to prevent damage. Good receptionist services when I have called, they scheduled me quickly to have folks out within a few days, the receptionist has called on one visit to update the location and timing of their workers when they were running slightly behind schedule, and the workers always do a good job. All around happy with their services and communication with me to keep me apprised of their schedule start to finish. Businesses that communicate well go far in my book as I have seen plenty that play games and don't communicate even if it is something bad such as a schedule change. Much better to own up to it and that keeps a customer happy to know whats going on rather then be strung along. They worked quick and communicated all the steps and procedures to us and that have a lot of peace of mind. We bought our house last year in November.Burns did the inspection for the seller. I just called Burns, and the nice lady I spoke with was VERY helpful and informative. I mean, how often does a business recommend you NOT use their services?? She said that based on the recent inspection and pumping, and only three people living here, we shouldn't need service yet, and that we should save our money unless we noticed some problem. This review is based on the foreman NEVER returning my call or email. I reached out to this vendor to get a bid and no-one ever called me or emailed me back. The bid I was attempting to get is for a $3,000-$4,000 septic job but I guess it's not important enough for this company to return calls. I was advised a foreman would meet me but he never showed up, no call, no email. I don't know if the receptionist ever informed the foreman or where the breakdown in communication happened. This is how you lose business. I contacted Burns septic on 8/4/16 as I'm a VP and do Property Management for about 45 self-storage facilities nationwide. We have a self storage property in Phelan where the sewage pit is caving in (about 5 feet in diameter) and was full of water. I'm located in our Irvine office so driving to Phelan is about a 90 minute drive for me and I only get to this property once or twice per year. The receptionist advised me that the foreman Paul would meet me on Friday 8/5/16 between 8 and noon. I drove the 90 minutes to Phelan to try to resolve this issue because I'm the only person that can sign off on jobs of this size. The foreman didn't show up during the time he was supposed to. While at the site, I sent an email to let them know I would only be in town that day and how important it was that someone meet me. I followed up with a call to the receptionist again. She said that someone would call me. I was in the high desert all Friday but no one ever returned by call or email. I hope other people get better service than I do. read more

I have the septic in my rental pumped every two years to avoid any problems. I called every septic pumping place in the local area and Burns was comparable. Except one place which was $50.00 lower in price. However, having past experience with Burns and their professionalism, I was not going to take any chances with anyone else even if it was $50.00 less. Burns was at the residence when they said they would be. Jeremy (I think that is his name) and his coworker were very efficient and worked fast to locate the septic tank. I was concerned about the health of the septic tank due to some problems a couple of years ago. I had a lot of questions for Jeremy and he had detailed answers and also gave me good ideas how to maintain the system. Called them out for a septic certification for a new home purchase. They spent about 5 minutes digging before they decided there were to many rocks. Understandable considering our location. They then quickly left without saying much. I then called roto rooter. Who came out and used a camera to locate the tank ( burns wanted to back hoe our front yard and take the fence down. Also wanted to charge an extra 150$ for the camera. They were digging about 20 feet away from the actual location.) Even all that wouldn't warrant a one star review. It was the bad customer service. we purchased a home on oakwood, hesperia. supposedly burns septic drained the septic on 2/25/2020 our escrow closed on 3/13/2020. we have not moved in yet we have a painter there no one else! we opened up the risers to septic tank due to we want to pour concrete. guess what septic was not pumped. it was full and 11 inches from the top! the foreman came out and stated someone must be living here taking showers! thats bull because we are still in our other home no one using toilets or taking showers. the foreman stated they did pump it and aren't able to do anything for us! sounds like legal action to me!! please dont use them i wouldn't want anyone to go through the same thing we are going through and we haven't even moved in! they are crooks and don't stand by their work, not reliable work! do not use them!!! read more
