There is also a HUGE hole under the floor board carpet where I can see outside the ground. I called and spoke with a lady who answered the phone at the lot and she said oh well you purchased a care 'as is'. I chalked it up to that, well a week after that the car broke down while my son was still in Cincinnati. He was pretty much stranded and took car to a shop and had to replace the entire engine. During this time the temporary tags expired but still NO TITLE from Riverside. Local BMV had to call them and then they mailed it out. I decided to call Riverside and spoke with Dale & JIm and expressed my frustration over buying a car from their lot is such BAD shape. They told me to bring car in and they would look at it to fix sway bar / tie rod, but couldnt give me estimate on cost. I told them we are not from Cincinnati and how can I trust anything with the lot and Dale hung up on me. RUDE and poor service. If i could turn back time I WOULD NEVER BUY A CAR from their or their lot. 4300 car has turned into 8000 . UPDATE... Just got title in the mail and they spelled the last name wrong... Clearly they do their paperwork with the same level of quality as their cars!!

I was disrespected by Brian who was rude and raised his voice at me when I asked for his bosses name and phone number. He said he would get his boss for me and then I asked for his bosses name and number again from the cashier which at that time Adrianne butted in and made a snippy comment to me and then mumbled under her breath the whole time walking away from me. John the GM spoke to me in Brian's office where he told me that he would fix the problem. Since I didn't have the time at that moment my husband brought the vehicle back the next day per John's request. They then refused to take care of the problem when he came back. John saying that I said things the day before that I didn't say why they wouldn't do it. They requested my husband to leave the premises and he said he wasn't leaving until the problem was resolved. They said they would call the police so my husband called the police. They had the police to give my husband a trespassing order even though he was there for an appointment. I am very disappointed in Kerry Chevrolet.

Dustin called a few hours later with reasonable parts and labor estimate to replace compressor. Vehicle now repaired. If you work in the Toebben Dr industrial park, you can't beat the convenience of dropping your vehicle off for repair at Bob & Harry's Garage South.

I've since moved out of town, and miss them dearly. First off, I drive an older vehicle - a 1994 Chevy Caprice wagon with a V8 LT1 engine. I know my car WELL, and expect my mechanics to respect that fact. Ted was always wonderful in this department - he had no problem with explaining what needed to happen with my vehicle, invited me into the garage to observe and learn about the repairs, and was a huge advocate in terms of preventive care and maintenance. He took an older wagon that had sat idle for well over a year, and tuned it up into a beast of a machine. Wonderful work, every single time. This is truly a family business, manned by Ted, his son Jason, grandson Nick and wife, Grace. On top of their professional work and character, the family always made me feel completely at home during my visits to the garage. As it was a decent distance (about 10 minutes on the highway) from my house, I'd often stay in the office while the repairs took place - it was a warm environment, always a laugh or good life story to be shared. I honestly miss those visits! For domestic vehicle repair/maintenance in the greater Cincinnati area, you can't do better than Ted Burgin. Stop at the UDF down the block beforehand for a malt while you chill out in the office - you can't do wrong for good company, and better car care.

A friend of mine had some work done at Community Auto Service with Bret. She sang his praises and so I asked him what it might cost for me to get my AC Compressor replaced. His estimate was 1/2 the price of what I was told at other places. I called and made the appointment to take my car in. No joke, 20 minutes after making the appointment I got to work and smelled a burning smell - but didn't see smoke or anything. I told my husband about it and we had a game plan. When I went to leave, my car started and went into reverse, but my steering wheel wouldn't move, so I ended up having my car towed to Community Auto a day early. They still didn't get to it until the appointment time, but that was ok. In addition to the AC compressor, a belt had been destroyed, etc. When Bret called to tell me the cost, I had expected it to get to be the $1400, but it wasn't. The grand total was about $845. I was very happy with that. Bret was thorough and quick with the repair and I am very happy.

In a nutshell, they won't work on your car when they tell you they will, and will charge a ton of money, and not fix the problem. It cost me 1100 dollars to fix a noise that sounded like a bad pulley. They replaced a pulley and tensioner, I still heard noise after I paid, told the 2 technicians, they were VERY adamant that there was no noise and everything was good. Long story short, 2 weeks later, I had to replace a failing water pump at over 1000 dollars while traveling on vacation. I even mentioned when I first brought it in that it could be the water pump. Please don't go through the headache I did.
