First off, I love this place! We walked in and were welcomed by two friendly servers. I love the whole atmosphere and layout of this brewery. It's definitely my kind of space to chill, kick back, and enjoy some amazing craft beers. We ordered: Sun Deck Flex Ginger-Lime Kolsch 10/10 Ground Under Repair APA 10/10 I also love their outdoor space too. We took our beers out there and sat at a picnic table and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. This is a very hip little spot and I cannot wait to come back again and enjoy it for all that it is and more. Hubby and I attended a private party and had access to the private room, downstairs, known as The Library. It is an enchanting room where the owners are lovers of books and collected a plethora of books and turned some into seating stools, others into wall ornaments, and they even have a vintage antique typewriter and vintage antique phones from the 50s. There is also the main upstairs which is open to all. As soon as you walk towards their entryway, you can smell the hops and it smells herbal. I am not much of a beer drinker. Personally, I prefer champagne, wines, and cocktails. If I am to do beers, my preference is usually a shandy. For those who are like me and do not want to feel left out, order yourself Tons of Bubbles Hard Seltzer. It has a light and refreshing black cherry fizzy beer taste at 4.3% ABV. I also tried their Wrought Gold: Blood Orange Blond Ale at 5.5% ABV. Personally, I was not a fan. I found it heavy and not refreshing but again, I am not a beer connoisseur. Food can be brought into the brewery and there are plenty of tables for you to sit down and enjoy your food. There is also an outside seating with benches and picnic tables giving you a Biergarten feel. "Feel free to bring your kids and dogs," as per the Taproom staff. Fun, easy going brewery in Union County. I'm not a beer person and I liked the offerings. That black and white option is a good one, as are a few others I can add later. They have an outdoor yard as well as indoor sitting options, complete with regular high top tables, picnic tables or a "bar". Trivia night is offered as well. The brewers are able to make good recommendations and accommodate anyone, in a timely manner. They even let you hang out after they close, officially. Good for meeting friends or low key business associate meeting. read more

Really cool spot hidden in an industrial park type area. We tried a few beers, Robot Insurance hazy ipa was real solid. The Blood Orange Blonde was pretty good and my wife loved the Identity Cri?is Coconut. Beers were all about $7 a pop which is the going rate. I know we've reviewed this place and I swear Yelp or someone keeps removing our reviews! We've been coming here since they opened and we always love the beer and the atmosphere here. In the warmer months, they have a nice outside area and food truck. They also have a downstairs area. They've adapted to Covid guidelines nicely and we felt very safe coming here during the pandemic. Great beer and nice people, no doubt. I love their porters, especially the chocolate vanilla porter. The pineapple IPA is also great. What a great find! Cute little brewery tucked away but worth checking out. I was disappointed at first since they were out of IPAs so I decided to do a flight. They had some outstanding stouts and a delicious coffee porter. Service was very friendly & they were well educated on the beers & allowed samples. Although small upstairs they have a beer garden outside & a cool library downstairs. We were lucky enough to score a seat on the comfy leather couch. I'd definitely come back! read more

Came here to watch a friend play a gig, didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised with everything. Can't judge the drinks because I'm not 21 yet, but can say that I never got the whiff of mold or musk that most bars/breweries reek of, but was instead greeted with a pleasant orangey smell. There were plenty of spaces to sit even with the large corner reserved for the band, all of the decorations and equipment made the perfect atmosphere, and perhaps the most shocking of all, the bathroom looked better than those in most luxury restaurants. Only complaint is that although the parking lot is pretty big, it doesn't fit the dozens of cars coming, but that just goes to show just how popular of a spot it is! read more

A lot of my friends from running love to drink and they have a crazy itch to go drink after-runs. We made it to Two Ton Brewing after virtual Watchung winter race. We were surprised that drinks are relatively cheaper in NJ than in NYC. I opted for Wrought Gold Blond Ale with Blood Orange while my friends all got flights. My friends are probably a better judge for taste here, and since they all liked the beer in general, it must be a good brewery. I believe my friends' favorite was brothers from another mother. The blood orange one was easy to drink and I enjoyed that as well. When ordering flights, you put down the names of the beer of your choice in a small card. My friends were saying it would have been easier if the beer names are numbered on the menu so that we can just write down numbers. I agree, but on the other hand, having the card with the beer name looks nicer in pictures, and when you take a picture you'll know what exactly you ordered. read more

A private event prompted a visit to Two Ton Brewing. On our visit, the brewers were making a batch of Hammer and Ale. A whoff of wort and humidity hit us as we entered the brewery. Inside, brewing equipment is on your right with counters with chairs along side it. A bar sits front and center and to the right are steps leading to a loft. Further back to the right are steps leading down to the private party area. A quick scan of the menu, the following were ordered. * Hammer and Ale, a West Coast Style @ 9.1% ABV * Wrought Gold: Blood Orange Blond Ale @ 5.5% ABV * Crispy Boi, a German Style Lager @ 5.6% ABV * Tons of Bubbles, Hard Cider with Black Cherry 4.3% * Extra Special Chocolate Vanilla Porter, @7.2% ABV * Some other IPA that I can't remember Two Ton gets a 4 star rating for atmosphere, friendly staff and the cool Library Themed Private Party Area. Went to see my friends band Summit Street Duo, my friend plays in another duo with me Strum N Hicks. Drove up from Red Bank and was pleasantly surprised-The owner has cozy place sort of between a brewery and a speak easy. The brewmaster is no amateur brewer. I tried a two sours, a New England IPA, a great stout and porter. No one can do sours like this without being a master of the craft. The porter was satisfying, highly recommend. He was band-friendly and had a great PA and sound system. The band let me play a song or two, the people working there were great, too. Well worth the trip. Can't wait to go again. Owner Mike seemed pleasant and a real plus that he provided the PA perfect for the room size. The place has a very unique atmosphere, recommend bringing in your food, but the band and brew was excellent, and I heard they have a Trivia Thursday. read more

Excellent local brewery with with some really great beer on tap. I did a flight of four and went with the saison, porter, stout and Belgian strong ale. I really enjoyed the saison and ale. The saison was darker than most I've had previously but was not overpowering. The ale was slightly sour and very aromatic with a good bite. The tasting room is a bit on the smaller side but there is a seasonal beer garden which would make coming back in the warmer months enjoyable. Sadly no canned beer to go as they were sold out although they did have a few bottled options as well as growlers to go. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Recommended. read more

About 15 well-crafted IPAs, NEIPAs, saisons, stouts and porters from a 3.5 barrel system. Plenty of strong flavors and high ABVs here if that's your thing, like a Russian Imperial Stout at 11%. Very fair pricing on flights, just $9 for four 4oz pours, those are usually $3 individually. 64oz growlers go for $17-19. I'm a fan of their American pale ale and the porter. No lagers tho, the lightest offering was a session IPA at 4%. Located in a light industrial park, the exterior looks like a small house but it's well signed. Friendly staff, small tasting room, a dozen bar stools and some tables. No food truck but Big Apple pizza is right around the corner. Parking lot holds about ten cars, we had to park on the street. Children welcome, dogs not so much. Only one bathroom. You laugh, but that was kind of a problem even with a half-empty tasting room. Hey it's beer, you don't buy it you rent it. Two Ton Brewing had been just a contract brewery for a while. They had made a really delicious Wassale beer for the Christmas season at Rinn Duin Brewing, which I have frequented for years. When I heard that they were going to finally open their own actual tasting room, I was happy to hear that. Last weekend I finally made it. Turns out they have a really cool, dark, enigmatic, mysterious atmosphere, as evidence by the dim general lighting and the red accent lighting. The beers are made with extra grain, and they have a very bold, powerful taste to them. This is the way I like it! Two Ton is not for the faint of heart. Craft beer enthusiasts will like it a lot. Their facility is a little small, but they also have "The Library," which is this speakeasy cellar. So, once you get ants in your pants from the main level, you can retreat down there. It's cool. The staff members were really cool and helpful. The other thing is that they are centrally located right off the parkway, so you can get there easily. read more

Loved this spot! I was so pleased to see a brewery that cares about how it looked! It was very clean and decorated tastefully . It was very warm and inviting . The people that work there were very friendly and welcoming and made us feel like we were regulars. I loved to see it was a family business and they even had the cutest dog there so I was in heaven! I enjoyed the two beers I had both ipas and very smooth . Low orbit was delish . I also really got a kick out of the Star Wars references. We will be back for sure looking forward to it read more

Super nice brewery located in New Jersey. Plenty indoor and outdoor seating available, parking can be challenging if brewery parking is full. The staff is super friendly and lets you taste couple beers before purchasing a glass. So NIck C. and I came to the area to try the legendary Santillos pizza...turns out because of their recent showing on barstool, it was an hour wait for a pie. So we wandered over to Two Ton for a flight and I was very impressed at the quality of beer they are putting out, especially being so new to the craft beer scene. My favorites were the Black swan saison and their chai stout. The chai stout was very well balanced, a lot of the time breweries use too much chai and it overpowers the beer. The black swan was very good, and I have not seen any saisons that use dark grains, this one looked like a stout in color, but because of the yeast they used, had the qualities of a saison style beer. Visiting family in the area and wanted to check out a local brewery. Am so glad I chose Two Ton. Dad and I each got a flight and then a second round after sampling a few others. Out of 8 beers tried, they were all amazing. The IPAs were some of the best I've ever had. The Hammer & Ale Imperial won both of us over with the complexity of flavor and smoothness in every sip. Other highlights included a NE IPA, Vanilla Chai Latte Milk Stout, Rye Belgian Ale, and Black Cherry Ale. The staff was so friendly and attentive. And the ambience of the downstairs tasting room was intimate and quirky. This will definitely be a place I visit every time I come visit the Garden State. read more

I love this brewery! Not only do they have great beers to drink but the service i was given by the owners (3 brothers and their father) and my two favorite bartenders was phenomenal! I hosted a friends birthday, they were very accommodating and reserved a table in the back area for about 20 ppl. They Set up a table for us for our food and even brought out some decorations. They gave the birthday boy a private tour and he was lucky enough to get to try one beer they just finished and were putting on tap next week! Everyone had an amazing time. I can't my friends enough for taking me to Two Ton Brewing when I came to visit them earlier this year. Although it took some time to get there, it was worth the trip. The lot is pretty small so parking was a bit of a challenge. Inside the place is laid out very basic. Beer in the front and seating to the sides. They have some outdoor seating but it seemed a bit cramped from what I saw. The inside has a long square high table that is perfect for groups. Just looking around, you can see all of their beer making supplies situated on shelves and in plain sight. My favorite of all their brews: Situation Normal Pale Ale. My far their best one from the flight that I initially ordered. I went back to get a full pint after finishing my flight. I also liked the Vanilla Chai Milk Stout and their Double New England IPA. The Imperial IPA was a bit too hoppy for my taste. Ask for a pizza menu from the staff so that you don't drink without food. They came within 20 minutes which was fast! read more

This is a great local brewery. Their beers are constantly changing, so be sure to bring in your empty growlers so you can enjoy the beer even after you've left! A few things to note: 1. Parking lot is tricky. There are a few spots outside the fence and a few spots inside the fence, but if those are all full - you're stuck with street parking, and street parking can be hard to tell "what is a driveway and what is not?" In all, even if you have to park around the corner, it's a short safe walk and well worth the beer. 2. No food on the premises, but they encourage you to bring or order food. No alcohol that isn't theirs - but they allow non-alcoholic drinks 3. There are 3 official drinking areas. The main area where you walk in, then if you go through the door to the left of the bar and go left & downstairs, you're in the speakeasy portion of the brewery, complete with their own set of taps - less than upstairs, usually only the popular ones. If you were to turn right instead of left to go downstairs, you're in the beer garden. The beer garden is awesome, except for when it's high noon and a hot day. There is no shade of any kind, and it's pavement, so be prepared to sweat. I advise visiting the beer garden after the heat of the day is over and it's much more pleasant outside. The prices are a little steep compared to other breweries I've been to, but it's nice to have something local and close to home. I'll visit again. read more

I go out of my way to try as many local breweries as I can, and so far on my beer drinking journey Two Ton has been my #1 spot to get my drink on! The two biggest issues I tend to run into at breweries are overly high prices, and inconsistency. Two Ton has neither of these issues! Why can't other places just get on their level? The beers are consistently awesome. While at other places I'll get a flight and genuinely enjoy maybe half of it on a good day, I never have an issue finishing my flight at Two Ton because even with all the variety, they knock each beer out of the park. It's also so reasonably priced, ya gotta love not having to feel guilty in the morning when you check your credit card bill after a night out. The place is really rustic and cozy inside, and overall has a wonderful vibe. Customer service is great, they don't mind guiding you through the beer selection and letting you try some samples. They also have plenty of menus sitting around so it's easy to find good delivery once you inevitably start craving pizza. Basically, Two Ton checks all the boxes you want when going to a brewery - excellent beer, fair prices, cool people, and overall fun vibe! I can't wait to go back once I'm no longer scared to leave my house LOL read more

I went for the first time today to get out of the house with the pandemic going on and the guys at over at Two Ton Brewery did a great job with setting up tables outside and having them distanced enough from people, constantly cleaning and disinfecting and enforcing the mask rule.
