I was wearing all black with camouflage military slacks. That must of been where they started their stereo-typing, as I didn't look like I had money to spend from the LaGrange store. I walked the entire lighted footprint as I strolled past the sales desk twice. I took one more look in the area of the showroom with price tags averaging anywhere from $399 to $700 plus. My third approach near the sales desk, made me stop in my tracks with 3 sales people, one on the phone. I asked out loud to them all and asked them if they were on "commission". One lady wearing eyeglasses kinda under her breath stated "Yes". Then I stated that I was in their area of business for at least 15 minutes and NO ONE approached me or openly said Hello. As I continued past them, I said to them that I have $$$$ to spend but wasn't going to patronage them as didn't show any emotion to assisting me. I consider this a very poor approach to sales.

I had asked them to add a light fixture to my outside porch going from one light to two. One person cut the hole in the brick on one day and another person came out the next day to install the light since it was towards the end of the day. Everything was fine until I was informed at that time that the hole was cut too big and the gentleman that was here couldn't complete the job. On the following day, a third person visited to install the light and although it did work out in the end, it didn't seem like much thought was given to this part of the project before cutting the hole. Plus that part took 3 different people in 3 different days to complete. Now, let's talk about the under the counter lights. To make a long story short, I had to have someone out three times to finally get them to 'work', but for the last 6 months there's an area that's been temperamental. I really got tired of calling and trying to coordinate my work day with them so I decided to just lived with it. I was told that the guys there have so much experience, which I'm sure they do, but if that's the case then it's probably a good idea to walk the walk. Now here we are today with one strip that is now not working at all, which is the same strip that's flickered for the last 6 months. The other two strips in the picture do still flicker. I expected and paid for a quality job and a set of lights that worked, but that's definitely not what I received. Now I'm likely going to have to have someone else come out, someone who can actually make them work, unless after reading this review Oakwood Electric will have enough pride and integrity to take the time to really make these lights work. I am extremely grateful to Arvy at Oakwood Electric & Generator as he got right to carefully and methodically sourcing the problem and that wasn't easy because although my interior electric had an unknown cause of a dead short from over 15 outlets, Arvy found the source of the problem on the exterior switch on the porch that had burned. (Clearly very serious!) He also checked many other outlets and made sure I was going to be ok after the repair.
