Some tips: -order the salsa on the side -order anything else that could potentially be wet on the side- that includes peppers, black beans, and unfortunately sometimes even the chicken OR -order refried beans and rice in your bowl and it'll sop up any wetness from ingredients The chicken taco salad comes in a crispy shell/bowl. The bottom turns to mush without a good foundation. You can order online and pay at the store. I love this feature. Especially when ordering for more than 1 person. Things are less likely to be screwed up if you specify what you want yourself. I'm not a huge fan of the nachos and cheese. The chips though are super thin and crispy. The cheese, meh. Mild salsa is chunky pico de gallo and it's pretty good. Overall a decent place to order lunch from... (I like Chipotle better though...) Came to burrito bay tonight to try for the first time . Was overall pleased with my taco salad. The fajitas veggies are cut a little too thick for my liking and the rice to salad ratio was off but besides that the chicken was flavored well and moist. My husband devoured his burrito and said it was good. The first gentlemen to serve us was less than thrilled with his job. But when the owner came out she was personable and very nice as well as accommodating . I do wish they had quesadillas or shrimp on their menu . But all in all I will return. read more

Don't go to chipotle... burrito bay is chipotle but with more love added to the ingredients, their ground beef is amazing and you will always walk out of there with a massive burrito. Definitely recommend the crunchies added into the burrito , and don't get the glutton, too big. read more

Burrito Bay isn't someplace I go often, but when I do it's always delicious. There are about six different tortillas to choose from, ranging in size and whole wheat or flour content. A standard taco is plenty filling, but go for a Runt (standard burrito size), a Jumbo, or a Glutton (3 lbs!) if you're hungry or just want to save some for later. I appreciate the wide selection of salsa as well as sauce, and the fact that the chicken is never dried out and is always flavorful. Everything is super fresh. We ate here yesterday and I had some of the saltiest enchiladas on the planet. I know I know -- who orders enchiladas at a burrito place? well truth be told burritos are just not my favorite mexican food. I like em fine and all but prefer enchiladas, tamales, etc. They had a tantalizing picture of the enchilada plate so I ordered it. But what I got didn't look like the plate. It came in a little plastic container. There was no salad and they were a bit skimpy on the rice and beans. But that didn't matter anyway because it was so salty it was nearly inedible. The enchilada sauce tasted like tomato soup. AND it was expensive. Oh and they forgot about it so it was sitting in the convection oven for 10 minutes. When I finally asked the guys said "oops that was ready a long time ago." So obviously, don't order the enchiladas. The burritos looked fine. My SigO got a bean burrito and they charged him for a veggie one (just 50 cents more but annoying). But he did say it was pretty good. Very good, and very fresh. Made to order right in front of your eyes. Their hot salsa is very good, hot but with flavor, not hot for the sake of being hot. Their roasted red pepper sauce is a slightly sweet but tangy accompaniment to the flavors of the burrito. I'm a vegetarian, so I stick with the bean burrito, but my husband is a fan of the chicken-"very fresh and not dry" and the turkey (usually only around Thanksgiving and Christmas). Friends of ours rave about the pork. Just got back from Lunch at Burrito Bay with a few of my close friends. It had been a while since I've eaten there but was very pleased with the all around experience. They had a 'Buy 2 Get 1 FREE' fish taco deal going on (wednesdays and fridays) and it really was a great deal. I'd say it was one of the best fish tacos I've had in the area. Reasonably priced too. They do a great job with their sizes of burritos. You have quite a few options and the toppings are plentiful. For a quick lunch spot it really is great all around. I would put this place in the same category as Moe's, which is to say it is not the same freshness, quality or flavorfulness of Chipotle, but it does have a lot of toppings options and is affordable. Not as good as Chipotle, but I give it the edge over Moe's. Toppings: The thing I appreciate the most about Burrito Bay as a vegetarian is I can get both refried beans and black beans, for a hearty burrito without any meat. I also appreciate that they have cheese sauce, even if it is that processed sauce that comes out of a machine, because cheese sauce makes everything better, always. I give them credit for offering some fresh ingredients like fresh cilantro and red onion. I'm not real sure how fresh the salsas are -- unlike Chipotle but just like Moe's, I suspect they may come from a jar or pre-prepared in some way. I love veggies but their sauteed peppers and onions use a sweet onion that makes the combination very sweet and sugary tasting. I would categorically count Chipotle's ingredients as being more fresh, more flavor and higher quality, but if you like Moe's, you will like Burrito Bay. Value: It's also nice that burritos come in three sizes, runt (small), jumbo (medium) and glutton (massive). They are all pretty big, but it's a good option. (I would peg Chipotle's burritos as being the jumbo size, for reference.) You can spend a little less if you don't want to stuff your face. Although I think this place is very similar to Moe's, there are two big differences: 1) Chips are not free with any order at Burrito Bay. 2) Burrito Bay is less crowded with obnoxious college students than Moe's, which I quite like. Overall, I would probably always choose Chipotle first. But for the same style of pick-as-you quick burrito, I'd probably go here second. Middle of the road Mexican, and that's just how they like it... or so it seems. Nothing here is OUTSTANDING, but what you get is good food for a decent price. The service is quick and friendly, the dining room is (usually) a ghost town. They must have a big lunch crowd b/c i never see anyone there when i go (evening-time). What's the difference btwn Burrito Bay and say... Salsarita's or Moe's? Not much. The salsa is a bit watery, and pretty bland in my opinion. Oh and there's The Glutton.... The Bay's signature 3 pound burrito. Complete The Glutton Challenge, which i believe is eating 2 Gluttons in one sitting.... and win the prize: the option of a 3rd Glutton (how cruel!), or a Burrito Bay T Shirt (uh, gee thanks). First time here and not the last. Out for a ride on the motorcycle we came across this plaza that was a foodies dream. It had Thai, Sushi, Pizza, Sports bar Subway and Mexican. What to have with so many choices. I am always up for Mexican so here goes nothing. We were greeted by a very helpful staff that talked us through the options. It is the same process as Moe's, Subway etc. We opted for more food than we thought we could eat but we were wrong. Wrong in the sense that we should not have eaten it all. I wish I had worn yoga pants. We shared the beef loaded nachos. Some of the best flavored beef I have had and the toppings were plentiful and evenly disturbed. Distribution is key in nachos, let me tell you. We had the chicken enchiladas to be different. It came with rice that was well seasoned and soft but a tad spicy for me. Refried beans were there. The chicken was cooked perfect. Sauce was ok, more tomato based and less mole than I would have hoped. Last we had a jumbo steak burrito, great choice, bad timing in eating it last. At a time when only Mighty, Colosso and a handful of other taco and burrito places existed in WNY, Burrito Bay brought a welcome, more substantial burrito to town. Theirs were made in the style of others I've had around the country - large shells stuffed with whole and refried beans, rice, and fresh veggies. Since then we've seen the rise of Chipotle, Moe's and ultimately, Lloyd. Has Burrito Bay withstood the raising of the bar? I'd say not so much. Burrito Bay still makes a decent product, but quality and consistency lags behind the competition. Depending on the day and the staff, you might get a huge runt and a undersized jumbo, or vice versa. Ask for no meat, and sometimes you'll thoughtfully get some extra beans instead of more lettuce to fill the space. Other times you might have to request that. My most recent vegan burrito was stuffed so much that the shell split (I was offered another but I declined.) The beans seemed extra salty, and the hot salsa was very mild. At nearly $10 for a jumbo with guac, prices are slightly higher than comparably sized but much higher quality items at Lloyd. They do offer a discount to folks with a UB ID card. I'll continue to be a regular customer, based on the convenience of locally-owned, close-by relatively healthy vegan fast food. But I do suggest that Burrito Bay consider the growing competition they face, and rise to the challenge. read more

Burrito Bay is a regular on our dinner rotation places to go. The food is always fresh and the staff are always more than friendly. The burritos are enourmous!!! You get your money's worth here. Though we have never personally witnessed anyone actually eat a Glutton (the Jumbo has always been more than enough especially when combined with a combo-chips and drink), there is a photo of an 11 year old girl on the wall who has with the caption: "She said she was hungry". This is a great place to stop if you're in a hurry! It's a mix between mighty taco and moes. The taco with buffalo chicken is delicious! The chicken is basically chicken fingers and they added blue cheese, lettuce, tomato, and Frank's hot sauce. The regular chicken taco is also delicious and full of flavor! Their chips taste freshly made; thin and salty. The nachos and cheese were delicious and they give you more than enough cheese! The 'runt' size burrito is enormous and more than filling! I usually enjoy local restaurants and have been here a few times as this is a place right by my work for a quick meal. I come to compare it to if mighty taco made a chipotle/Moe's style restaurant. The food is pretty good I enjoy their portions and price but I did not enjoy the chicken. The chicken for one was bland and had a off light brown with a greenish hue to it. Immediately (about 10 or so minutes) after I had a stomach ache and resulted in food poisoning. Would have recommended it as I've heard mixed reviews and I like to make my own opinion before saying my two cents of course. I wish anyone luck who goes in there and orders the chum bucket taco. The food there is good but not great. Price is reasonable. The staff is friendly but appear to be unmotivated at times (what can you expect from minimum wage teenagers).
