The refried beans were spicier than we expected.

Cielito Lindo surprised me again, and in a good way. Honestly, there is one place in the area that has better chicken, but overall, I have to admit that this is my favorite place to grab a taco or two. Why? Because they offer double tortillas that don't fall apart after the first bite, an excellent topping bar with delicious salsas, and an always-available creamy avocado sauce that I absolutely like on my taco. The service is consistently very friendly and effective. Also, there is no wait staff, which is a bonus. Sometimes I just prefer ordering my food at the counter, with no extra obstacles. From time to time, we like to order nachos with a choice of meat and queso. The pork tamale was very good today.

Stopped here to get a couple tacos. I ordered a Pollo (chicken) and a Carnitas (pulled pork). I like the fact that they have the 'Add your own topping' station. I also like the double shell. It keeps things together a bit. Both were tasty with the pork having a bit more flavor. Minus one star for the dirty tables. 2025- 59

Honestly such a hidden gem! I got three amazing tacos that I can't stop thinking about. I can't wait to go back

Upon hearing about how good this restaurant, we decided to try it out. This might be my new favorite taco place in Buffalo. The tacos are good, the toppings bar has very authentic options, and there is nothing to complain about. Well, the only thing I wouldn't recommend buying is their overpriced sodas. $4 for a bottle of coca cola is a little steep. But other than that, the tacos are on point. The environment is far from fancy, but the food is great and authentic. The service is also fast.

First time here. Ordered two tacos. Order came up fast. Pleanty of self-service toppings, some spicy and some mild. They charge extra for sour cream but they had guacamole salsa with the self-service items. Food tasted good but they need to hire a cleaning staff. I know the building is old but its no excuse to not keep the tables, chairs and floors clean.

The absolute best tacos in Buffalo!! Authentic & absolutely delicious. It's a smaller, but quiet, space and usually pretty busy during lunch, so plan for that. They have a salsa/toppings bar that is fantastic. I always get the El Pastor & chips & queso. Never disappointed. Great family who owns this business, as well!

I've got to say as the first time that I have tried food from here, it'll be tough to not go here again all the time. This food was two thumbs up and just SO GOOD. We ordered a few tacos, a burrito and chips with queso. The tacos are standard traditional tacos on corn tortillas. I really enjoyed the corn tortillas as opposed to flour which is what you get at a lot of other places. We tried the asada, barbacoa, chicken, and Al Pastor tacos which were phenomenal. The asada burrito was also so good and a really large size which is great for the price. The chips are made in house and the queso was delicious and way better than a lot of the ones I've had at chain spots. The whole process to order, and the service was super quick and the staff was super friendly. The restaurant itself has plenty of room and very clean. All in all, this was a great experience and I really enjoyed this dinner. We will definitely be back and also getting takeout again soon!

I had a great first experience at cielito lindo taqueria. It was quite busy but the line moved quickly. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. I got 3 tacos - al pastor, carne asada, and birria. The birria was incredible and the other two very good as well. I also tried the Mexican street corn, which I think will be a 10/10 once corn is in season. The only pass for me was the mango margarita. I can't place why exactly I didn't like it, but it just wasn't for me. I love being able to add whatever salsas and toppings I like so I appreciate any time you have the option to do that yourself. Overall great experience and I will certainly be returning to try more off the menu!

This place preciously was known as La Davina, but changed names. The food tho has remained the same and so fresh and delicious. You can watch them prepare your meal in front of you and the wait is never long. Highly recommend for great Mexican food that Amer-Mexican - this is authentic! Everything from tacos to salads, and of course, amazing homemade nacho chips!

Ask the Community - Cielito Lindo Taqueria

Is this the same owner as the one on Delaware?

I would image so. Tacos are great and service is on point even at their busy times

Do you serve alcohol? Do you have chips and queso?

Yes, Margaritas and beer, not sure about liquor. Chips with queso is available, I had mine with ground beef.

The menu is extensive and the wait staff was simply ideal. We enjoyed ourselves having a good meal. Whether I was relaxed, I'm not sure :). The early afternoon music selection was great, fun and energetic. Perhaps I ate my food too quickly, but I couldn't help myself. The La Bandera was three enchiladas, one cheese, one ground beef and one shredded chicken, topped with three different sauces. It was good. Maybe if there was more green sauce, it would be even better. The small side of salad with a good amount of avocado was refreshing. From the beginning to the end of our stay, I felt welcomed and invited. I almost took a photo of myself wearing one of the beautiful sombreros placed around the dining room. They looked like new, super colorful and sparkly.

Our waiter got us set up in a reasonable amount of time at a table that was a "little tacky" and by tacky I mean sticky (I did see someone wiping tables post meals). We ordered a couple margaritas because why not enjoy a frosty marg with tacos and the frozen lime one .... Definitely delivered on the booze. The chips and salsa were a big hit with the little yelper, and the salsa was a little runny for my Liking but it was definitely good. We started off with some nachos and this kinda set the tone for the rest of the meal. The queso on this dish was literally like a runny wet texture, most queso tends to be a lot thicker than this and the chicken was a touch bland, those chips had no chance with this queso, they all got a bit soggy in no time. We also had a heavy quantity of tacos ordered. 3 beef and 6 chicken. The beef tacos were pretty bland, as were the chicken tacos (dripping with water). But for $1 tacos I guess it wasn't too bad. I'm just guessing that the chicken is boiled because the amount of moisture was pretty decent. The beans carried the runny theme as well, with the rice being the most non soggy item we came across. Overall though it's $1 tacos, so we can't set the bar too high with them.

We finally went inside and were told another 10 mins after waiting almost 45. So all told it was about an hour wait. I get they're busy but they were not honest about the wait time. Then we were sat in the bar area and it was just very loud and rowdy thanks to what we found out was a rehearsal dinner, seriously it went down about 10 octaves after they left. Our server seemed very frazzled. When we first sat down we were given a smaller dinner menu and told the regular menu was only for drinks. Our server explained they are training a new kitchen. So we go to order and our appetizer came before our drinks. We ordered the guac and it was tasty. When we finally got our margaritas they were good. Then they delivered a queso to the table that wasn't ours, but let us keep it anyway. Then dinner arrived. I ordered shrimp tacos- and chicken came. I had to wait while they made me the correct tacos, according to the bill the server had put them in wrong. I also felt $20 for three taco shells with 3-4 shrimp each was a lot. You can not mix and match taco types. The only toppings provided are a very spicy sauce, cilantro, and onion. I ended up putting the queso on them which was good. Just never had tacos with that limited toppings for the price and no toppings bar. We repeatedly asked for more water during the meal and never got any so my friend had to go up to the bar. We ordered a soft serve margarita (the real reason we were here!) for desert to share as the flavor was chocolate and raspberry twist. It was really good! Very rich and definitely a sweet treat type of drink. The server said the flavors aren't usually like that or as thick as ours was. All this to say I honestly feel they are trying to figure some things out right now. The food itself and drinks were very good. I enjoyed the soft serve margarita and would love to try some other flavors that aren't as rich in the future. Would I go back? Yes but not for a few months. The service piece of this place is not it right now. I wouldn't order the tacos again either as I don't feel the value is there. My friend has been here dozens of times and she said it's never like this. So I hope to give them another try!
