Very delicious and full of flavor
pablo a.

I will start with the food from this restaurant. Food was delicious and the portions were perfect. I had the quesabirria tacos de chivo and added the rice and beans on the side and my family had a burrito and tacos. Everything was full of flavor especially the drinks, I definitely recommend the agua de pepino. Service was good and waitress were very welcoming. Ambiance of the restaurant is clean and authentic. I will definitely come back to this restaurant, good job to owner and employees!

Torta dinner

Food was excellent my husband, myself and kids ate really well. They served us fast and were very attentive. For a family of 5 the bill included gratuity we paid $137. Not sure why this place didnt have alot of clients on a Saturday Morning. Will be returning when in the area.

We brought two of our family members here to dine in. We had previously had carry out and it was great so we felt this was a good place to take them. I had the Steak Burrito Suizo Dinner. It was delicious. My wife that the Enchiladas. Hers was good as well. Our guests were not so satisficed. They have a history of not being able to please though. So they were disappointed. The margaritas were not as good as I expected them to be. Neither my brother in law or myself cared for them. They had a grainy taste as though this mix was made from a powder. They were large though. I am very pleased with this place and will be going back from time to time.

Steak tacos. A little bland

I've visited this place 3 times. I know you are going to say "three strikes and you're out", right,? Nah, that's not applicable. But what I will say is that I was hit with a pitch and took a base. (Baseball season just started when writing this). Good food. Love the hard shell beef tacos. Just wondering why I have to put the toppings on them. ??? Steak taco could use some more seasonings. They fill the tacos with plenty of meat. Decent drinks. Plenty of room in the restaurant for dining. Service was decent. They get quite the business on the weekends, so I don't understand why people are pitching a fit over pricing (baseball, again). I am very jealous of their plants in the lobby. Just beautiful. And... Worst Pina Colada I've ever had.
LAURA S.

Yet another disappointing experience. Good God, what has happened to restaurants these days?! $30 for steak fajitas, and the steak was minimal, bland, and tasteless. Basically a huge platter of peppers, hardly any onions and a small handful of tiny pieces of "steak". And $13 for a Pina Colada with very little rum. Bleh. Will never be back.

I stopped here for drinks and a light meal. I chose a strawberry margarita and two tacos- one chicken, one beef. They do offer two salsas and hot and mild which were okay. I am not a fan of spicy and while not too hot, after a few I knew the heat would accumulate so I backed off that. The margarita wasn't bad and did not have the fake after taste. The chicken was surprisingly seasoned where most places do not so it was tasty. The steak taco was thin on meat but flavorful as well. They were also quite large and not closeable so I had to knife and fork it-not that I had an issue with that!

Quesabirria Combo

I ordered the steak quesabirria tacos and I immediately knew I was gonna be in a food coma after taking one bite lol. I've always saw people on tiktok reviewing different quests Burris tacos and these definitely lived up to the hype and did not disappoint! Not only were the tacos fire but their guava margaritas were also a hit ! I had two and could definitely feel the liquor. Definitely try this place out if you've never had the quesabirria tacos before !

For a place in the south chicago suburbs, especially not one with a predominant Latin population, this place has pretty decent traditional foods. The sopa was great for warming me up even on a hot day. The chips came out fresh and the salsas that were given were alright. The quessabirria was the dish that made this review high. The broth was rich, but what stole the show was the goat meat. It was tender, and it just made me feel happy. The fried ice cream was a great dessert to end on, they made their own version of a "strawberry purée" which was a fun addition. The service was alright. Nothing special, but not horrible. The prices were a bit much, but I was not disappointed with the meal whatsoever despite this.

Highly disappointed. Came here on 5/5/26, limited menu and no frozen margaritas. Don't think I'll be coming here again!

The atmosphere is dimly lit (which I love), clean, lots of wood and leather everywhere. It's spacious but also cozy. On to the food.. my favorites have been the butterfish and the trout. This last time I got a pesto gnocchi with shrimp. The shrimp was really good right off the grill as were the gnocchi but it was kind of swimming in an oily sauce. I expected it to either be creamy or lightly coated pasta, instead of a pool of pesto and oil. The sauce didn't really stay on to the gnocchi because it was so thin. I used my extra pita bread to sop it up. The artichoke with hummus appetizer is also tasty. My friend got the lamb shank (chops?) and she also enjoyed her meal. The espresso martini was good but it had like a chunky shaved chocolate or something on the rim which was unnecessary and made it kind of hard to drink. We haven't tried any desserts yet but they look amazing. It was about $150 for 2 cocktails, 2 glasses of wine, 2 entrees, and 1 appetizer. I couldn't afford this regularly but it's a nice treat every now and then.

I had to add salt, pepper and msg to their clam chowder for flavor and the clams were too finely minced. A person in my group ordered the todays special. When the bill came it was over charged. They did rectify it immediately and removed the "today special sign" from the front door as they indicated it was wrong. So unfortunately anyone who came in after us were not able to order that particular special.

The only consistency on the service side has been the Hispanic gentleman shucking the oysters ,he's always friendly, hardworking, and deserves recognition. Incredibly crowded due the occasion and we were still seated right away with no waiting (reservation made). Our server was very nice and pretty fast considering how many tables she was covering. The rice and shrimp was also cooked perfectly. The mahi mahi was tiny, overcooked and dry which are the reasons I knocked off a star. My mom loved her meal (salmon, rice and broccoli) which is what mattered most. Overall Bonefish is a real good restaurant with delicious food. We were there for longer than TWO hours. TWO HOURS. Most of that time WAITING on service. The bread and pesto that comes complementary... delicious. We also ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp. Also pretty good. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. The bass was seasoned and made pretty great. The asparagus that came with it also very good. I ordered the Au Gratin Potatoes. This portion is shareable and incredibly cheesy. My husband ordered the Filet and Lobster Ravioli. The asparagus. Good. The Ravioli. Good. The steak came over done. Both of our orders were extremely fresh. Cooked to order. It took 30 minutes from order time to get the food which is too long. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. Danae was our server again, just as she was on our previous visit, and she delivered the same excellent, attentive service. It's always a great sign when consistency carries over from one visit to the next. The Friday Fish Fry features four pieces of cod, each cut into roughly four-inch portions about the circumference of a quarter. This size allows the fish to cook evenly while maintaining its moisture and flaky texture. The cod is very lightly beer-battered, which we really appreciated--it enhances the flavor without overpowering the delicate taste of the fish. The standard accompaniments are cornbread and a lightly seasoned, fresh jicama slaw. One of the nice touches is the flexibility with sides--you're allowed to substitute fries and/or coleslaw for other options. I opted for a cup of the soup of the day, which was Cajun she-crab (excellent), along with onion straws. There are several other side choices available as well, some with a minimal upcharge.
