I had the chicken burrito dinner and my wife had two chicken tacos. All was delicious! The rice was exceptionally high quality and taste and even the beans! As a con I have to say that the service was just acceptable. We waited forever for our check that never arrived. We had to go to the counter to pay. And there was no bill to review so I had to just trust them. Also when the aroma of our food arrived our table was attacked by ants. We were able to kill them all as they arrived rather than switching tables. We didn't inform them as we were too embarrassed. Due to the food quality and prices we do plan to return. Me and my wife went today, June 24, 2024. I ordered the Monday Chicharrón dinner special. It was fantastic! I highly recommend. My wife had the Chile relleno tacos and she said they were delicious. The price point here is very reasonable and I would say the best value around. I would also recommend the Carnitas, available only on weekends though. Hi. I ordered 6 tacos: 2 beef, 2 chorizo, and 2 steak. The star of the show was the chorizo taco. There is a lot of flavor and taste in it. I ate all the tacos in one seating. On another visit, I got 4 veggie tacos, and they were good. I will return for those! Service is nice. Bathrooms are clean. Decent parking lot. There is a lot of room inside the restaurant. They cater. Open until midnight. They have weekday & weekend specials. Lovely plants inside. Nice bar inside with top shelf liquor. You can even get your drink at the bar to go. I had a beef burrito and it was really good and tamales another time and they were very good. The rice was good but cold, beans good too. We order from here occasionally. I like the food but my order is always wrong. I'm lactose intolerant and I always have to scrape the cheese off of my food. I order through post mates and always put in all caps "NO CHEESE ON ANY OF THIS ORDER", yet, there is always cheese on my order lol. Hope employees actually read this. We used Pueblito for a graduation party and all the guests raved about the food! The staff was super helpful when ordering and when loading the food so it wouldn't spill in the car. How about an upbeat review, people. My wife and I went in for an early lunch (11:00 am) on 11/2/21 and were pleasantly surprised as it was our first time at Pueblito. I'm glad I hadn't read reviews prior to going in. As a matter of fact, I didn't know this restaurant existed until I looked to the side while waiting at a stop light. I guess it was the right time as there were only two other customers so we were seated immediately, but carry-out customers were coming in. Pueblito has a large and very complete menu but it is so well laid out that it's easy to read and we were able to make our decisions quickly. A plate (not a basket) of freshly made tortilla chips and a small serving of red salsa were brought to the table. I, at first glance, wondered if they could spare them but it turned out that it was a sufficient serving as the food was not long in coming. Maybe they give a second helping if the wait is long enough, I don't know. Again, they were freshly made and warm. My wife ordered the combination plate that consisted (her choices) of a tostada, a quesadilla and an enchilada along with rice, beans and lettuce. I believe she ordered each with ground beef. I ordered the taco lunch special of two pork tacos with white onions and cilantro, also coming with rice and beans. I also asked for one chicken tamale. My wife enjoyed everything on her plate but brought home half of the rice, beans and quesadilla, which I ate later in the evening. They rewarmed nicely in the microwave. I really dug my lunch plate. The tacos were well filled with pork and not packed with tomatoes and lettuce (thank you!). Everything was served hot, not lukewarm or cool. My mistake while ordering was not getting two of the tamales. I can honestly claim that the one I had was delicious. When we left we both felt that the serving sizes were just fine. We hadn't needed to order anything else. Previous reviewers moaned about the restroom, the wait to get in and order and one called it "divey". We found none of that to be on point. It's on the small side, more than a few steps up from most fast food taquerias and the floors, windows and tables are quite clean. No, it's not festively decorated like the large chain Mexican restaurants but the food is superior. My only complaint would be the lack of free refills of soft drinks. Want a second can of pop? Then pony up the cash, my friend. By the way, Pueblito appears to have a well stocked bar, I'm just not a drinker. Anyway, I'll be a regular until or unless something queers up the food or the experience. read more

This restaurant was not tasty at all. We ordered the taco dinner. The steak was very tough. The beef was too salty so were the refried beans. The Spanish rice was good. It had vegetables in it. The service we received was horrible. We stood waiting to be seated for 5 minutes. We were treated as if we were not welcome. My significant other and I should have turned around and left but we stayed. I gave a large tip anyway but we will never return! $48 wasted! read more

Authentic Tex-Mex, family owned and operated. I really like that they have $1.50 tacos every day of the week. For those who like karaoke, they have it twice a week, usually Friday and Monday. We've been going here for about three years now and absolutely love it! We've only done carry out. Heads up though...15 minutes usually means 25-30. We used to get upset about that but we now know and just go with the flow. The food is the most authentic I've had in the south suburbs. I'm used to eating Mexican food in the Little Village and this is very comparable!!! The staff is super nice. The building itself is a little outdated but don't let that fool you. Our main entrees were incorrect -- we ordered the red sauce and was given the mole sauce with avocados. The queso was disgusting and the salsa was incredibly bland. Food is good, but the waiting time is terrible. Placed an order for tacos on a weeknight at 10 pm for pick up..arrived to pick it up at 1030 pm and it still wasn't ready. So I came back and it was ready at 1040 pm. I don't understand how it takes so long for tacos because this is also not the first time that we go and it takes long. It happens every time. I went here today for a quick lunch before going back to work for a few hours. I kept hearing about how good they were and when I had a steak taco at the Taste of Orland it was really good.... Today was a huge disappointment..to say the least... Upon walking in, I was told to sit near the fan. There was no air conditioning on. Since I was there on a quick break, I thought I'd stick it out. I asked for a bottle of water to which I was given a WARM bottle of water. Not room temperature.... very warm ..... I asked for a glass of ice and received a dirty glass....I ordered the lunch special. Two steak tacos with rice and beans... which were barely heated... and FLAVORLESS !!!! Tried to eat what I could because I only had a short time to eat. There were flies all over the tables and I kept swatting them away from my lunch. Feel bad it really should be two stars. I wanted it to be great. It started out with no air on the hottest day. Things break I get it, but you could have at least apologize and immediately brought me some cold water. We moved to the bar area and it was a bit cooler so we decided to stick it out. We were helped by a young man who seemed like he didn't want to be there and was a bit short on manners. My wife had chicken tacos that end up dry with a funky smell and I had a steak burrito dinner. The burrito was pretty good and I did really like the beans. Unfortunately the service was very weak. Good service could make up for mediocre food. Too bad.
