I don't know what to say. I love getting my taco on. It's hard to give a fair review to mom and Pop business like this. I get that they were busy but they're so unorganized. After 45 minutes all I managed to square away, was a bottle of soda, pop, and some chips and salsa. My tacos never hit the table, and I simply walked outpaying for the soda. I'd love to tell you there's a good time to swing in there for food but I suspect anytime they're busy it's a shit show. read more

When I walked in the place was empty with only one person waiting for a pickup order. Nobody in the front to take orders so I waited...and waited for about five minutes and was ready to leave when a kid finally came up front from the back. Ordered a chicken burrito with just beans and extra cheese only. When I watched the guy making it, looks like he scooped the ingredients from a plastic square container and only took maybe two minutes to put it together - the least amount of time I've ever experienced. When I opened it, there was not only no extra cheese, but no cheese on it at all! There was something that tasted like it was going bad on it, so I'm praying that I don't get food poisoning! This place is certainly not close to being gold and I urge people to go someplace else because their crappy service and careless preparation certainly doesn't justify your patronage. The sign on the door says open until 3am weekdays. It lied. I went there at 2 am on a Wednesday and it was closed. Went back the next day and was told that the owner's son sometimes closes early when there is no business. If they don't keep to their posted hours, it is no wonder that they have no business. I ordered 4 steak tacos and a steak burrito and was surprised that the total was $18. Within 5 miles of this location there are about 10 Mexican places that would have charged $13 for the same order. Cash Only!!! Yup, you read that right. We stopped to get take-out from here on the way home, the sign was as big as can be on the door. Not an issues for me, I always carry cash, but most people don't. I had the chicken burrito dinner and my BF had the steak. We got a side of guac & chips. The guac was some of the best I've had in a while. We get take-out Mexican food a lot, and this is our standard order. I enjoyed their food more than I do at most of the local places in the area. The green & red salsas they gave us both had heat, and the chips were fresh. The rice was not dried out and the beans were tasty. This will be a go-to place for us when driving by. read more

More like a mini burrito, then I saw mini burrito on menu. Geez, how much smaller can they get? The dinners(platillos) are around $12, really? Terrible service! We came here around noon on a Sunday. As soon as we walked in, all we heard was the television which was super loud! On the television it sounded like jerry springer! All we heard were things like "mutha(bleep)" and "son of a(bleep)" also many bleepity bleeps and blankety blanks if you know what I mean. When we walked in we immediately chose where we wanted to sit. The booths were very small but that was fine because we we just used another booth adjacent to the table we wanted. It seemed like a nice small family run place to go to. After sitting down and settling in, a crabby teenage boy came to the tables and set chips and pico de gallo and salsa on one table. We eventually asked for more chips and pico de gallo for the other table too. We later noticed on the receipt that he charged us extra for these chips and pico de gallo. The crabby teenage boy was very robotic sounding and seemingly bothered by our presence. This made us feel very unwanted here. So we ordered our food and my order was a burrito dinner. When the kid came back with my burrito he didn't bring the rice and beans that would make it a "dinner." When I asked about it, he just immediately became defensive and claimed that I didn't order the "dinner" but just a burrito by itself. I didn't argue with him. The burrito tasted okay but not great. I also noticed that the door to the kitchen was open. We all heard someone(we assumed it was the cook) sneezing. I know sneezing is a normal part of being human. However when this is happening with all other given circumstances, then it makes it a bigger deal then what it is. To top it all off my daughter had a stomach ache when we left. This may be a coincidence but who really knows? If service was better then I may have been an occasional visitor but I will never go here again. They lost a customer! So overall, 1. I have been going to this place since it first opened and I have seen a new owner/manager almost every year. In the early years the people running this place would recognize repeat customers and treat you very nice, but now it just plain lousy service. The burritos and tacos are decent, have tried both the chicken and steak. The only problem I had is with chicken bones and tomatoe cores in the food, which I can not stand. The tamales are nuked, not steamed, to order which makes them taste like rubber. They have a huge dining room to sit down and eat, which look fairly clean. read more

It's a Monday, middle of the day, not many people but whatever. Maybe they were having a bad day. Anyways I Had two tacos (tongue and steak) and a chorizo quesadilla. Dude behind the counter refused to accept it as payment. I had no other money, he wouldn't accept a check or credit card. He actually called the cops, they showed up and we explained the situation. This whole fiasco took about 30m to resolve. Then the dude waiting behind said he would take a chance on my $10 bill. He gave me a new $10.00 bill so I could pay the dude behind the counter. Our order consisted of 3 steak tacos- American style, a chicken & cheese quesadilla, a carne asada dinner (grilled steak, for anyone wondering) with no beans, the largest container of salsa they had (which is 32 oz.), and an horchata. One word- DELICIOUS. The rice was some of the best I have had in a long time, and Mexican is our go for take out so I've tried quite a few different places. The quesadilla was cooked perfectly and was not greasy. The carne asada dinner was so good I wanted to go back and get another one. The business is mostly take out and the tables are usually empty. This leads to mixed service, depending on how many walk-ins they have. The TV is always BLASTING a Spanish or news or Spanish news program.
