Food is decent here but today we ordered and our total was way more than what the downloadable menu online shows it should have been. When I asked the cashier for a menu, she said take a picture of the board. Burrito dinner listed as 8.99 but receipt shows 13.00. Flauta dinner 10.50 but charged 16.95. Enchiladas show 1.50 ea but charged 2.75 ea. Medium salsa listed at 1.95 but charged 3.95. These are not small differences. Definitely some false advertising happening. read more

Was looking for some authentic Mexican in Tinley Park, and we ended up at Speedy Burritos. The environment was mostly clean when we walked in. It looked like the floor definitely needed a nice sweeping, but the table surfaces were clean. The service was decent. I do not think the waitress was rude or horrible, but she was very young and seemed to be doing most of the work herself for my big party and whoever else came in. There were times when it seemed she could've come to check on us sooner, but I am unsure if she had other obligations in the kitchen. The food came out very hot. Everyone got what they wanted with no complaints. To start, we had chips and salsa. The salsa was very fresh and delicious with a lightly chunky consistency. I ordered the chorizo sope dinner and was impressed with the generous portions. The chorizo was a little salty, but when paired with all the other ingredients it balanced out. No one in my party of 8 was able to finish their plate due to the generous portions. To drink, I ordered a jamaica agua fresca, my fave. Theirs was up to par and complimented my meal well. I would very much be interested in visiting again if in the area. Just hope they'd sweep more. read more

Sadly the food is decent, no complaints on how the foods tastes for quick carry out, but the service is the absolute WORST. They do not follow directions by any means. I asked for cheese on top of my burrito and I was told the cook said "no." I asked for lettuce on the side, I got lettuce IN the burrito which made it horrible when reheated. Almost $16 and a $3 dollar tip on a carry out order to be treated rudely and highly disappointed by my order. Never again. I have other options in the area. $19 to be told NO on a reasonable request is unacceptable to me. Beyond rude, just ignorant. Less than one star. read more

We have been going here forever. They were closed for a couple of weeks. We couldn't wait until they were opened again. Today will be the last time we go there. I understand raising prices but there is no excuse for serving old bad inedible food. I ordered avocado on my tacos and the slices were black and rotten. The elote was a joke. The corn was actually chewy and not event hot....tasted like it was sitting for a while and reheated in the microwave. They piled on a ton of Mayo to try to cover it up. The salsa was watered down. Was actually going somewhere else but they were closed on Tuesdays. So I pondered "where to" in the parking lot and I noticed Speedy Burritos. Parked - went inside - placed as order. Burrito dinner which I felt was a reasonable price for the meal. Total bill was $11.42. Got home and opened the container to find this HUGE burrito (made two (2) meals for me as I am a older person. The taste was good. I had the beef burrito. The ingredients were FRESH as I didn't get heartburn. Unbelievably delicious. The Venue was spotless (as that should be looked at also) and there were tables to eat at. Although, by that time, I just wanted to get home as it was already 7:00pm. I highly recommend their food. Next time........a Taco. Also, I would like to add .... the personnel were friendly and patient with my ordering. Thank you for being there. I just stopped in here for a while to grab some lunch. The restaurant was really clean. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. They have a nice menu with a variety of options. They had wonderful choices, and the prices were also very reasonable. I just simply ordered their steak taco dinner. The service was also fast. I ordered and the food was already served minutes after I ordered, which was really good. The food looks good. It was also fresh and hot. The serving of the tacos, beans, and rice was enough and reasonable for the price. The tacos were delicious. The meat steak has a nice texture. It was not very soft, but it was not also rubbery, and for me, it basically had the perfect texture to it. The flavors were also good. I can just simply say that I was satisfied with the food. I am also satisfied with the overall experience of this restaurant. The food was good. Prices are reasonable. Customer service is great. This was a pretty standard burrito--but what really made it shine was the excellent flavor of the steak. The hot sauce was also very good. The salsa & chips could have been better, but still not bad. This experience was disappointing at best. I was quoted one price over the phone, and when I arrived, I was told that there was an extra charge for an option that was already on the menu. When I asked, "So you just arbitrarily raise prices when you feel like it?", the female employee said. "Yes". I will not ever patronize this place again for this type of unprofessionalism. The difference from the price quoted on the phone was $6 more when I arrived. If there is a price difference, that should be clearly communicated to the customer for trustworthiness and transparency. I'm a big fan of this establishment. The food is excellent!! I stopped up there this past Saturday night and I had a Steak and Egg burrito, not on the menu, but they made it special for me and it was outstanding. The size of the burrito blows away any other burritos in the area. The pork tamales were perfect as well. This place is just so much better than El Famous. The only reason why I'm not giving this 5 stars is because of the personality of the woman behind the counter. She was not very friendly and didn't have any personality as well. My husband and I went here the other night he got the burrito i got the taco dinner, the meat isnt seasoned the guac was aweful the elote was all mayo and the rice was bland and all and all flavorless only plus was the beans they had a good flavor and texture. The super burrito is HUGE and tasty, the guacamole is excellent, and even the chips and salsa are YUM. The taco was also fresh and delicious.
