Normally at mexican restaurants when I order a chimichanga they only put mostly meat inside, but here it looked like they through in whatever they had back in the kitchen. It's American style Mexican food. The type of place where you would probably never see Mexican people dining. The drinks are ok. The food is ok. We were served our appetizer before we had any napkins or silverware and had to ask for them. The servers were difficult to flag down and not very attentive. We ordered our drinks as soon as we were seated but one came about 15 minutes after the other for some reason. The place was not busy at all and they seemed to have an ample amount of servers but something was definitely off. My mother ordered enchiladas mole with chicken. She was served fiesta enchiladas with ground beef. I ordered blackened shrimp tacos. I was served Baja fish tacos. The table salsa was pretty mild so my mother asked if they had anything hotter. The server said she'd bring it but never did. My mother asked again but was either not heard or ignored. We never got the hotter salsa and we told the server we would just simply eat what we were served rather than start the process all over again. Despite all the errors and the fact that we remained calm, polite, and accommodating throughout the ordeal, we were not given any type of discount. However, the server was kind enough to point out that the items we actually ordered were the same price as the items we were served. They did get the appetizer and the drinks right. When we first started going here in 2019, the food was amazing. Since then, it has lost much taste. The chicken tastes like it comes from a can, not something that's been slow roasted with seasoning. And that was no matter whether it was on a taco, a flauta, or in a quesadilla -- we ordered all three today. It was the same way last time we came. The only reason we came back is we had a $10 off anniversary reward, and we had to fight for it. They first told us that we had to order two drinks. I kept telling them that there was nothing that said that. I know when you get the weekly coupon you can get the same $10 off But you have to order two drinks. This was not the weekly coupon. They finally said oh yeah, it's anniversary so it's OK. But then they only gave us $8 off because it said it was for lunch. It did not say $8 for lunch or $10 for dinner anywhere. It just said you had to order something of equal or greater value, which we did. We were so frustrated we gave up. They wouldn't even look at what they sent. There's also a note on the menu that says they automatically add 18% gratuity to every bill. We normally tip 20%, but the service has to be decent. And it was here. But with all the other garbage we had to put up with, we just left the 18% on. So in this case, they left money on the table, so to speak. And this size is really small I mean really small.
