This is an amazing family-owned business. They will definitely take care of you and listen to your concerns. They have worked on my car a few different times; I will not take any of my vehicles anywhere else. They care about their customers and will help you out more than most! They have a great staff. Some advice... Get there early, they stay busy! Record the condition of your vehicle when you pick it up. And record every conversation you have with anyone here. They can't keep track of their lies. Paid 10 grand for a transmission that took over a year to get replaced. They said Mopar would give me 100,000 mile warranty and that Mopar would warranty it for life, but they failed to mention that Mopar will not warranty your transmission if your diesel vehicle has been deleted! They knew this, but refused to tell me then the transmission lasted a year and had to be repaired again. I had $6000 in rental vehicle fees because it took them so long to repair it and they said they repaired it out of good faith but then it didn't even last a year after that and of course, they said it's out of warranty. They can't replace it, They won't warranty it, Mopar won't warranty it!! I took it back because the transmission was slipping. They knew they were transmission problems, and I told them after they found out what the problem was and repaired to of course go ahead and service it. They charged me for servicing the transmission and then it wouldn't even move put it in Drive and it will go nowhere. Now if they knew it had transmission problems why would you service a transmission? That's no good! Like I said they suck!!!! read more

This place is a hole in the wall and a complete rip-off! My car was towed into Burt's Bros facility to have the serpentine belt replaced and my car diagnosed for any problems. I was quoted $160.00 over the phone for serpentine belt replacement and diagnostic. On the morning of the next day I called into shop to check on the progress of the diagnostic of my vehicle and I was told that the service team had started working on the car but had to replace the Oil Filter Housing which was the reason the serpentine belt was malfunctioning. I was not happy with this as I was not giving the opportunity to approve the services before their team started on repairs. I did not have the opportunity to take my car elsewhere. I expressed my concerns about not approving services. I was told that the total repairs would be $480.00. I requested an estimate be sent over to me. When I received the estimate via email it stated $650.17. I immediately called the shop to express my concerns of the price difference. I was told it was nothing that they could do because they had already started repairs. The lady was also very insulting on the phone making belittling comments that it wasn't her problem I didn't have the money to fix my car. The issue was never about the money. The issue was that I was not given the opportunity to receive a fair estimate and approve repairs. Later that day I received notice that the car was ready for pick up. When I arrived at shop to pick up my vehicle I noticed that my car was sitting outside already running. I was being rushed out and told they were closing. I went into pay for services but requested that I first test drive and check my car out. I got into the car and turned it off. The car would not crank back up. At that point it was explained to me that I needed a new battery that would cost an additional $350.00 and the only way to to crank my car was to get a jump. I also noticed the cover to my engine was missing. When asked about it I was told that they were closing shop and going home either I pay the money and get the car jumped off or they were locking up my car in shop. I was extremely unhappy with this as I know the price of my battery and it only cost $150.00. I decided to take my car immediately to Auto Zone to get the new battery put in. I also didn't understand why I wasn't made aware of the battery needing to be replaced before I came to pick up vehicle. This all felt like price gouging. Upon driving to Auto Zone the anti freeze message appeared on my system. Auto Zone checked my antifreeze fluid and it was completely empty. The oil stick was also mysteriously missing from my car not allowing them to check my oil gauge. I was certain that the oil stick was in car upon arrival at Burt Bros because I watched AAA check my oil which was fine upon taking it to Burt Bros. I ended up paying $159.00 for the new battery and service to put it in. This entire experience was very unprofessional and troubling. Especially jumping my car off and acting as if it was fixed when it wasn't. All this happened and I decided to move forward but on January 20, 2020 not even a month later my car started making loud noises. I stopped by a different shop and they explained that my new serpentine belt was breaking. I called Burt's Bros as I was given a 12 month 12 ,000 mile warranty on the parts and services rendered. The receptionist first made an appointment for me to come in the next day and have it fixed. She then placed me on hold and the service guy Brian got on the phone screaming telling me he would not honor the warranty and he would not touch my car again. He said that he was rushed last time and did not have proper timing to fix my car. This makes no sense as they were the ones that told me to pick up the car and it was fixed. His demeanor was erratic, rude and unwarranted to say the least. He hung up the phone on me and told me to have my family fix it. I'm not sure as to what he was talking about. I called back demanding to speak to the owner of the shop and was told he was not available nor would he be calling me back. I was forced to take my car to another service shop and have repairs done to my car and they had to replace the new torn serpentine belt and tensioner for a total of $373.90. The service guy found the missing oil stick that had been misplaced under my engine apparently the result of the oil change that was performed by Brian. I was also told that there was no indication of a recent oil leak and the tensioner was the cause of the serpentine belt malfunction not the oil filter housing. ‍‍‍Run away from this shack and save yourself some trouble and money. read more

I've been using Burt Brothers since 1984. I had a steering problem. The (linkage) was fubar causing the truck to go from side to side. I went (back in '84) to FIrestone, and was quoted $900 to replace the thing, I took it in to BB, and Lee, who now owns the place, looked under the hood and got a wrench and screwdriver, tweeked it twice, and said "how 'bout $30? Been going there since. Without documenting every case, leave it to say I'm still going there on big items, even though I live more than 60 miles away. read more

I took my car here because my wheel was shaking while driving. They called me and told me that I need four tires, and then told me that they did an alignment. I am wondering why would you do that if I need tires. So the next day I went and got new tires and to my surprise the alignment was off. I took it back the next day, they said it was fixed it but now he car pulled to the left, alignment was still off. So I took the car to kuffman Tires and they told me that I need to replace some parts thats why it would not align. So needless to say I will not take my car back there! I went to Burt Bros. on a recommendation from a long-time customer. I had been having electrical issues for forever and a day with no success of getting them fixed. Dropped my car off in the morning... friendly check-in staff, by the way. I got a call that afternoon that everything was fixed and "come pick up my truck" (94 Dodge Ram 1500)...notorious for electrical problems. Everything works great for the first time in a long time! Wow this place has horrible customer service. The guy I talked to was named Robert Jones and he absolutely made my skin crawl. Their website says to call or email to setup an appointment, so after waiting all day for a response back to my email, (which I never got) I finally called. Happen 5 months ago. I brought my company truck to burt brothers because it was leaking diesel. They told me it was going to be almost 1,000 to fix. I agreed and they fixed it (supposedly) the next day. I pick it up and park it at my company shop. Next morning I noticed that it was still leaking. Took it back three times and had the same problem. I have used Burt Brothers for a number of services. Oil changes, alignments (they have the latest equipment and the most experienced people), brakes and they have done a tune up for me. Great service at competitive prices. I like going there. Oh yeah and I got some tires there too. They don't have used tires though. But they told me they have all the major brands. I personally recommend them for car repair. I noticed they work on trucks too. I saw a bunch in the shop. read more

I went into the Burt Bro alignment and general repair shop today with my 2005 honda s2000 after shopping around the buford hwy area because noone could align a car that had been lowered to my car's extent. Therefore, I asked before I even had them get my car on the alignment rack, "can you guys work on lowered cars?". Sure enough, they said no problem and we agreed on a price and set off for work, I was quoted 10-20minutes per axle and I requested that both front and rear wheels be aligned and I was quoted at $50 then $10 more for the extra axle (I do not exactly remember the price, this is the price i remember). While they're working on my car, they come back to me and say that they can't align the rear wheels of my car because it's too low and claims that there is no more room to align the car with the factory parts. I understood, as I am aware that the car is lowered a good bit and being someone that works on cars himself, I shrug it off and told them to go ahead with the front axle. 20 minutes flies by and they tell me that the car has been aligned and ready to go; happy as a camper that my car was finally aligned, I go into the service room to pay and I was pleasantly surprised that the bill was only $40.55 versus the $50 some dollars I was expecting to pay. I was a happy camper when I left the premsis. Driving off, I realized first thing that the car still pulled to the right (passenger) side as I went in the shop for. I figured they made a mistake and took it back and had them realign the car. That was fine, however I waited for the technician to work on the car again and do a test drive. That was repair number 2, following the very first attempt. After coming back from the second round, he casually drives it back on the rack and starts raising and lowering my car again, "working" on it and takes it back for another test drive. This is now the third attempt at alignment and the second test drive. After all of this, he rolls it back into the rack attempting another fix. I, now irritated, tell the technician that I don't want them doing "trial-and-error" sessions on my car and request a refund. I must have insulted the technician by saying this and he approaches me as if he was going to throw a swing, I back off and tell them I just want my refund. He agrees and we go into the service desk and the owner (Lee) and his son confronts me and tells me that because the car is lowered that it cannot be done exactly. I, as someone that works on cars myself, think this was baloney so I said "just give me the refund, I don't want to deal with your shop" and the owner says that he cannot give me a refund and tells me to hit the road or call the cops. Applauded by this, I called the gwinnett co. police and sure enough an officer shows up after 20 minutes and speaks to both of us and says that unfortunately he cannot do anything as it is a civil matter. I told the shop owner this exact quote: "It was $40 mistake on my end, but you're risking your reputation over $40. I hope you do well in business" and drove off. read more

Been going to Burt Brothers for years because I felt they were honest, but have officially given up on them. They are not thorough and half the time I took my car there it would come back with something else wrong with it. The last time I went for an oil change they did not put the encapsulation cover back on all the way, leaving two screws missing and letting it drag on the ground and get damaged, causing further repair (which I had done elsewhere). Even if they are honest and affordable, not worth the hassle. read more

I have been dealing with Burt Bros for years. They are honest, reliable and do great work at reasonable prices. I know several people that take their cars there and will agree with me. I do not know what the circumstances were with the other guy, I do know that most shops shy away from lowered or modified suspensions. I have not had an issue with Burt Brothers; everyone there has always done right by me. For the last fifteen years, I have had all my auto repair and maintenance done there. Service is usually pretty quick too, especially when I have just dropped-in unexpected. I drive over ninety miles one-way for their service; because it is service I can depend on. I have even been able to take on the Honda Corporation due to information that was given to me from Burt Brothers. When the public did not have information available on the internet, they were able to use links they had to know that an original Honda part was defective and had failed way too early. Honda refunded over $800.00 for my part to be replaced because I was able to quote information I would not have known about otherwise. Still no Honda recalls (to date) on it either. Although my breaks weren't fix correctly the first time and they were a bit on the high side with cost I will say that there customer services is above and beyond. I could feel that my breaks still had a pulsating vibe to them as I got on to 285 rush hour traffic. The great snow storm of 2011, delayed me from being able to bring my truck back in to have them re look at it. So after 2 weeks goes buy i am able to finally bring my truck back in. I was short on time so they drove me to my job site saying they should be done around noon. Twelve came and went and around 12:30 i received a phone call saying that the drums can not be machined and that new ones had to be ordered. The employee that was going to pick me up from my job sight was suppose to be off at 4 but stayed late to come get me to bring me back to there shop. I got back over to the shop and they apologized for the delay and informed me that the emergency break light on my dash board has been fixed and that the breaks are working fine. I expected to pay for the new drums but they just handed me my keys and said thank you for being patience and waiting longer than what they thought it would take. There customer service today goes along ways with all the crooked and cheating companies out there. If you want a company that will do the work and stand behind it then look no furthers than Burt Bros. read more
