I have been having problem after problem with my car. I had a blown tire, which led to me getting all four replaced. That went fine but since then, I had started to hear a clanking in my back left tire and a whirring noise in the back right. I took my car back into the shop where I had them repaired because I felt it was odd a week after repairing them that I started hearing these noises. They found a loose tire pressure sensor just flying around in the back left tire... but didn't notice anything with the right. I drove across the parking lot and the clanking was gone on the left but the right still sounded horrible. I stopped and searched for a nearby reliable mechanic. I found Ming's with an almost perfect 5 stars and read some reviews from some OTP Elites and knew they were a great place! I drove 10 min down the street here and they immediately were able to help me and at least take a look. I simply explained the problem and they already had a hunch as to what it may be. They took it for a test drive and brought it in and checked it out. Unfortunately, they found the problem was with the differential which isn't something they can rebuild. They sent me down the street to get it looked at and get an estimate. I know nothing about cars, so I asked what kind of price rang he might guess that we'd be in for rebuilding a differential. He was like uhh.. because of course didn't want to say a number since he wasn't quoting me, but I had no idea if that's a 50$ fix, 100$ fix, or 1,000$+. He said probably around 1,500. I took it down the street and they weren't able to look at it right away, so I am still waiting for it to get checked out, but they also said I'm looking at 1,200-2,000$. I really appreciate the quick service here and them helping me find the problem. Even though they weren't able to repair it, they had a great recommendation for a place down the street and helped me put it in my gps. They also didn't charge me anything! Even though my visit was quick they were extremely helpful. The news wasn't great but I appreciate their welcoming staff and very helpful recommendation and at least confirming that there was in fact an issue! Will definitely be back here for future needs!

Fast and easy at a good price for an oil change. No appointment needed. Small waiting room but you won't be stuck there long.

My car was making noise and I asked the dealership to look at it during an oil change. I was told that my exhaust system wasn't looking good. The heat shield was rattling a lot, so they clamped that down but I was looking at a few thousand dollars in repairs. Their suggestion was to start shopping for a new car as mine is 12 years old. The thing is that I'm not ready to part with her. No new car currently on the market stirs the same passion in me the way my current car does. I look at her (yes, it's a her and named Eponine) and I still feel like a proud owner. After looking at reviews, I saw that this shop was getting solid reviews and decided to give it a shot. Going forward, whenever I can, I'm going to choose Kirk over the dealership. The price I was quoted for the work was reasonable and the work was done in a very timely manner. I am very happy with the work and even happier that I feel like I've found a place that can help me keep Eponine around for many more years.

I decided to give them another chance. Clearly a mistake. I made an appointment on the website for 8:00am to get my check light checked and see why it's running rough. Arrived 5 minutes early and the store was dark. Called the store number, spoke to a guy who said he would check, then left me on hold for 12 minutes, then cut me off. Called again and was speaking to a woman for a few minutes when someone showed up. Both people on the phone said that they don't open until 9:00, but the website says 8:00, took my reservation, and I even got text reminders. See the screen shot of the website. So I waited until 10 minutes after 9:00 and finally approached the counter and was told that they were waiting on their "diagnostic guy" and could not do anything until he arrived. At that point I took my keys and left. The poor service and level of indifference is unacceptable for any business. The (I guess) manager (Reid) could not have been less concerned that I had been waiting well past the appointment or that the website (and underlying appointment function) does not work. By the way, if you are going to park people in the waiting room, try cleaning it sometime. I will be in touch with Pep Boys corporate this week.

I waited patiently as it appeared he was u sure how to complete the task. After waiting 10 min I explained to him that I was here to get an oil change on my National rental car vehicle. He asked me for a contract number. I gave it to him, after that he stated that I had to wait for approval. After 30 min I went back to ask the status he stated he hadn't heard anything. He asked if I had a number to call so I gave him the number off of my agreement. He stated no one answered. He tried to call someone to help him. I explained to him that My rental car advisor stated that I could go to any Pep Boys and they would service the vehicle. I then stated do you service under the National Rental contract. He asked me what is National?? I said National Rental car like Enterprise rental car, he said oh I can look up Enterprise and do it. After that he submitted the request, he said I had to wait for approval. I sat down and waited another 15 min and went back up he said he hadn't heard anything not heard anything. I called National Rental car and told them I was waiting on approval. She stated that approval is automatic . I told the Pep Boys rep what she said and he said let me know check again, all of a sudden he says oh it's approved now. A whole hour later. So now I have been waiting 30 min for an oil change, looking at my vehicle with the mechanics outside on their cell phone. I just went up to ask why no one was working on my vehicle and the desk guy just told me they ran out of oil!!!! They had to order some, I've never seen anything like this on my life !! The worst service ever. If I would not have checked I would still be sitting here waiting. What kind of service place runs out of oil???? This is piss poor management!! You don't wait until you are out of oil to order more oil, that's unacceptable!! Who is completing inventories on supplies in this place?? The manager should be fired!!

The Jeep passed Emission Testing a week later (yeah!) and is running well. We still "heard a noise" and brought it back for another inspection. The Wright Team inspected the Jeep and determined that an inexpensive repair by the former owner (strut assembly) was causing the noise. They determined it was not a safety issue and advised we could wait, or repair. I appreciated their honesty as my goal is to provide my youngest daughter with a safe vehicle to use in College. Wright could easily have told me "it's a safety issue" and I would have paid for the repair but they were honest, and they have earned my business for many, many years. If you need an honest and very capable repair shop, THIS is the place.

When I was shopping for a car, I brought a vehicle in for a general inspection. I scheduled the day beforehand, and although I was advised that it would be better to bring the vehicle in first thing in the morning, I was unable to do so because I couldn't get ahold of it until noon. I made the receptionist aware of this, and he scheduled my appointment for the afternoon. I brought the vehicle in at the agreed time the following day and called an hour and a half later for a simple ETA on the inspection. I was not rude or aggressive in any way, yet the owner David took it upon himself to rudely tell me that he had not looked at it, would get to it when he could, and that this wouldn't have happened if I had just bought it in first thing in the morning, even though I made it clear to the receptionist a day beforehand that I wouldn't have the vehicle that early. Heated and irrational, I decided to leave a two-star review on Google about David's rudeness. Admittedly, this was not a wise decision, but at the same time, how could I have known that he keeps a sharp eye out for bad reviews when he's supposedly swamped with work? Sure enough, I get a call from him demanding that I take it down. I refused and decided to just go get my car, ignoring the angry, long-winded text he sent me, in which he said he would no longer do any of the non-existent repairs on a vehicle I had brought in for a general inspection. When I arrived at the shop, he refused to give up my keys, physically holding on to them and actually snatching them out of my reach when I tried to get them back. I could have called the police since he legally had no right to withhold my vehicle, but I had more pressing matters to attend to. He gave up the keys and glared at me as I left, leaving me in absolute awe of the unprofessionalism I experienced. I regret writing that first review for sure, as it was purely reactionary, but if they had simply told me they were fully booked and could not accept my appointment, then none of this would have happened. David might be a great auto mechanic, judging by the many perfect reviews his company has, but it is clear to me that he becomes quite rude and aggressive towards customers whenever he's in the wrong. If you look at some of the other one-star reviews here and on Google and see how he replies to them, you'll see what I mean. Somehow, some way, it's always the customers' fault when something goes wrong. Never his.
