This has become my favorite spot for a good meal with decent service. My one complaint is that the place is FREEZING in the dead of summer...... like they need to be actively advertising for their HVAC company..... Anywho. Every meal I have eaten has been perfect. Hot she crab soup with a punch of port wine oil. The shrimp is always done to perfection. And the vegetables are cooked well to retain some crunch. Like not a complaint about the meal or service. I have wven taken friends there because I know we won't leave disappointed.

Top shelf Happy Hour Drinks; amazing appetizers and a patio to die for! Count me in! I've checked out Burton's once before and had a few drinks. They of course didn't let me down but I was so surprised on how great the food was. The Bang Bang broccoli was hands down my favorite. So tangy and sweet with this crazy crunch. The garlic butter shrimp were amazing and cooked to perfection. I also had the most wonderful garlic bread slices. Literally could have eaten an entire basket with or without the guac. Burton's has such an amazing selection of alcohol. They don't even have rail alcohol just top tier offerings. I enjoyed an espresso martini made with tequila which was absolutely perfect. I also had a desert flower made with mezcal, elderflower and prickly pear. Listen I can't wait for another. Huge shout out to Yelp for the amazing event and our server Peggah who was absolutely the cutest. Great customer service; knowledgeable; made suggestions and was super personable. Will definitely be requesting her when I return.

I am absolutely blown away. Came here for a work dinner on the suggestion of a colleague. As someone who is gluten intolerant I have never felt more safe. They have their entire menu as gluten free options as well as a specific part of the kitchen for preparation. They also make sure to double confirm its gluten free when they bring it to your table, which if you have an allergy you know how much that means. The ambience was amazing and the waitress was a doll. I will absolutely return especially to the Cville location which is closer to home.

    Steak Frites with bourbon shrimp

Overall, great first experience. I enjoyed the steak frites with bourbon shrimp. I thought it was solid except, the house chimichurri was a cream sauce. Not mad at it but far from chimichurri (update: they changed the menu online to the bearnaise, so it's making more sense..menus are to be updated in the location!) my spouse got the pasta. He enjoyed it, I thought it was rich. We also got bread service which was enough for 2 people-that's it. I had two sangrias, tasty but could've been stronger. I got the chocolate cake for free since it was my birthday. It was good but I wouldn't buy it again. Service was kinda slow...and it wasn't super busy. My spouse enjoyed his old fashioned. I will be back but a few things could've been better.

Great food! Drinks were okay, would get them again but not my favorite. The steak was my favorite.

Delicious meal and great atmosphere! Walked in and hardly waited anytime even though they were busy. Our server was super friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. We ordered the lobster roll with truffle fries and crab cakes with a side salad and succotash. Everything was super flavorful and really exceeded our expectations- especially with so many gf options. Really appreciate how focused they are on allergies. Highly recommend!

Great location and really cool vibe that you can feel as soon as you walked in. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Start with the break, it was so delicious. One of the specials, when I visited, was Halibut, and the way it was cooked was similar to blackened. Every bite was great. Wonderful flavor, juicy and flavorful. There are a lot of other options on the menu that made it hard to choose, which means I will return.

I enjoy coming here every time the menu changes and I love that! Always great service I tend to sit at the bar most of the time. You do have to get in before it gets busy. They have outside and inside seating as well.

Had the classic burger with a side salad during lunch hours. Absolutely delicious and the location feels clean and the atmosphere is wonderful. Service was very friendly and asked specifically about food allergies which I very much appreciated!

We enjoyed the service. They support allergies and food substitutes. Our meal was delicious. Great variety in the menu. My husband's steak was good. I gave it four stars because I selected chicken piccata and it was good but the chicken was a little dry. I would come back here again, especially for lunch because they have great salad selections in which you can add protein. Our waitress was friendly, informative, and attentive.

    Crab Cakes and strawberry salad

There is a reason Burtons is always so busy! It's truly delicious. They have a huge inclusive menu (the gluten free menu has plenty of options). This location is in in the newer section of Carytown across the street from Kroger. There is free street parking out front (Carytown style). On my recent visit with my mom for lunch, we were seated at high tops. I highly recommend ordering the crab cakes. They are really generous with the crab meat and they are so tasty. We shared a yummy strawberry salad and the crab cakes. It's a huge space, but it does get a bit busy. Service wasn't terribly slow, but on the slower side. They have womens and mens restrooms here. I have to say their bathroom wallpaper has to be among one of my fave bathroom wallpapers in the city (after Little Nickel lol). If you want yummy and filling food, Burtons is a good spot.

Did yall get rid of the scallops!?

We just launched our Fall menu yesterday, so the Scallops & Creamed Corn came off. We hope you try something new off our Fall menu and let us know what your new go-to dish is!

Did they really charge $2 extra for ice on a vodka shot?

Hi Jeffrey, thanks for reaching out! When you order a shot it's a 1.5 ounce pour. When you get liquor on the rocks, it changes to a 2-ounce pour. You are paying for the difference in liquor, not the ice.

My mom is my travel buddy, as she was very disappointed with the arugula burger it was just a poor combination for her, as there is nothing wrong with a regular burger with lettuce, tomatoes, onions etc., but this place and its clientele are pretentious or attention seeking, main character syndrome focused, so it is not surprising. My salmon based dish was not bad but again trying too hard and being too fancy but not carrying weight and having substance just style but nothing that is hearty, fulfilling that comes from the heart and sticks to your ribs. It feels like a restaurant that I can see in the pretentious spots in DMV/DC like Georgetown, Bethesda, or McClean, as some of the clientele gave off that vibe. It is terrible when my mom, because Richmond in our opinion lacked an abundance of quality appetizing food options scanned the menu and was disappointed, hesitant, and indecisive on even to eat here as nothing on the menu was down to earth and intriguing enough for her to eat. She could not even have a decent regular burger, nope Lillie's wants to have arugula and tries to have these "healthy/creative" options but is really fake and snooty performative clientele it attracts with these options. The server was pacing around and sweetheart needed to relax as we did not like feeling rushed, even though the food was not the best and the environment a bit stuffy and uptight, we don't like the nervous energy that is transactional trying to cut our social bonding time and having new people in there like a cattle house. Please stay away and go down the street to Mama J's. The world is not your oyster with Richmond's culinary scene, as there are thin pockets of consistently good to great food. A bit of the city has abandoned ghost downtown and not as vibrant neighborhoods that I expected for it to have.

By this time we were so desperate for cool, we didn't argue that we had requested INSIDE not whatever this room was. It ended up being like sitting in a tuna can. Our server, Sophie, was friendly, attentive, efficient, and everything service should be. The cocktails were all scrumptious and served in beautiful glassware. We started with the short rib and mac-and-cheese egg rolls, which were delicious. For entrees, our group ordered the Greek grain bowl, shrimp and grits, banh mi, Cobb salad, and Caesar salad. The Greek grain bowl was enormous--I gave it my best effort and still took home nearly a third of it. More importantly, every dish was excellent. No notes to give. Everything was top-notch. What impressed me most wasn't that the restaurant had a bad night the first time around. Every restaurant can have an off day. What impressed me was how seriously the feedback was taken and how dramatically different the second experience was. Manager Charlie Illes stopped by our table during the visit and played a major role in turning things around for us. The difference between our first and second visits was night and day. Harry's earned this revised review through accountability, hospitality, and execution. I'll absolutely be back based on this experience.

Usually really like this place but going on a Tuesday was not as much fun. There were not any…read morespecials and while service was friendly it was kinda slow- we were upstairs so not sure if that was part of the problem or that they had another event going on. Parking is always a challenge here but on a nice summer evening the walk is not too For cocktails we got a watermelon basil margarita and an upper east side. I really enjoyed the margarita but not sure I tasted much watermelon . No complaints about the upper east side- a solid bourbon drink. We always get the shrimp oreganata for an appetizer and it was very good, but the bread did not seem very fresh and there was certainly not enough of it. We were told we would get more, but we never got it. I did enjoy my apricot spinach salad with salmon, but my husband and my friend weren't super impressed with garlic and thyme, butter salmon. Just not enough flavor.
