have to say that this is one of the best barber shops I've ever been too. The shop itself is very unique Aesthetically mimicking a school bus. The people are very friendly as well as being pretty skilled to the craft. The cuts are very sharp and detailed as well. I used to get my haircut years ago by some of the same barbers but due to Covid I was fearful that they had shutdown. Lastly luckily I've gotten news that they never left and the looks are even better than last time. I had a barber named Ricky cut my hair and the funny thing is I don't even say anything and it turned out to be exactly what I hoped for which tells me that even after all this time he still remembered my usual look I go for. Hands down the best cut I've gotten in SF. I was booked with Christian (first time there) since my regular guy wasn't available at his salon. Going to a true barber makes a huge difference. I wanted a clean skin-tight fade for my birthday and Christian did not disappoint. It was honestly one of the best cuts I've gotten ever and I was very impressed. Well worth the money and they aren't even that expensive for the quality of work. What's more exciting is the amount of compliments I got and people asking where I got it done. Barber only knew how to cut hair one way. If you want a low fade then your set. Not worth $50. Maybe it's SF and inflation but this was something I'd expect for $15 Needed a military style haircut since I'm active duty. Asked for a high and tight with an undercut. But ended up with a mid fade on one side and buzzed my existing undercut to try and fade it. There is a reason they make you pay first. read more

Reading the existing reviews it's clear that there's more than one extremely talented barber working here, but I came to review Cristian. Speaking from personal experience, if you are a man with hair and/or a beard, you want Cristian. I know this because not only have I been to Cristian many times, but I've also been to not Cristian. Getting my haircut and beard trimmed by not Cristian was the most traumatic barber experience I've had. I used to visit Cristian at his previous spot in SF. COVID hit and he had to move to the east bay. I live in the peninsula which is pretty darn far. I didn't care. I drove 1.5 hours round trip to get my hair cut with Cristian because he's that good. Then Cristian moved again and I didn't know where he went, so I tried a new barber. I'll never try a new barber again. I trusted this new barber like I trust Cristian. I told him what I wanted, closed my eyes and let him get to work. Sometimes I have nightmares about one day discovering I have no beard. You know how dreams are. Well, I opened my eyes after 10 minutes of the new barber doing some serious work on my face and I felt like I was living my nightmare. Almost all of my beard was gone on the sides and he had left me with, essentially, a goatee in the front. I looked ridiculous. I was speechless, but not speechless in the "wow Cristian just did a great job way". I was speechless because I didn't know how wrong a haircut and beard trim could go. Anyways. I managed to find Cristian again out of desperation on the day I was going to return to the beard-butchering barber and I'm really glad I did. Cristian does a stellar job and I recommend you give him a try one day. read more

Came as a walk-in, asked for a haircut. Tatiana didn't try to make conversation or really delve into specifics of what I asked for. She barely touched the top and back of my hair and when I asked for her to do some thinning and take some more off she barely did any more cutting and definitely didn't do any thinning. Not sure if it was the end of her day or she just didn't like me or something, but yeah not a good experience. I didn't feel like asking for her to try more as it clearly wasn't gonna happen. I mean she didn't even show me the back! (Maybe because she barely touched it at all, she didn't even clean up the back of my neck or short back neck hairs). She seemed nice but yeah. I stumbled across Buss Stop Barber Shop without an appointment and they were able to take me in pretty quickly. I've been looking for a new barber for awhile the last shop I was at was too pricey for me. My Barber Cristian, was super hecka cool and he talked but not too much, he spoke mostly about how he admires one of his older sisters- real family guy. I wanted a simple under cut I wasn't very specific on how I wanted it because I wanted to see how he cut hair as far as skill. I must say he made it look pretty clean, good fade , but not too bald looking-I really loved how it came out.
