If I could sue, I would. I went to get a Brazilian wax yesterday and I literally have burns on my ____. They use the cheapest wax possible and it looked old as fuck. Who knows when they last changed the wax? The room they have you go in is disgusting, probably not even up to health codes. The wax is a million degrees & I'm almost positive they don't know how to wax properly (I mean she literally burned me and I have the scars to show it) DO NOT COME HERE. I purchased a Groupon for the Vinylux Manicure for a little under $15. I made an appointment about a week prior. The service and quality here were spectacular. Once I was seated the person who prepped my nails did an amazing job, taking his time with each step, trimming my cuticles, and making sure I was okay with the shape of the nails I had requested. Truly top notch attention to detail. I don't get my nails done frequently, but they were patient with me and answered all of my questions without judgment. Nearly a month after my manicure, my nails had very minimal chipping. The place is located in a quiet neighborhood, and the vibes are chill and peaceful with pop music covers playing in the background. Location is easy to get to and close to a Caltrain station. I've come to this salon several times before, but after this experience, I won't be returning. I stopped by and asked if I could pay extra for 2 upgraded services. They said it would be just $12 more each and told me to come back in an hour. I waited nearby, came back, and once the service had already started, a different employee told me it would actually be $45 more each. They blamed the earlier staff member and were rude and dismissive when I tried to explain. At that point, I felt stuck and just went with the basic service. The worst part was the quality. My toes were scratched, one was bleeding, the tech wasn't wearing gloves, and the polish was already ruined before I even left. It all felt careless and unhygienic. I've been here multiple times but it's normally for waxing. One day I decided to get my nails done after my waxing because I was already here. I have never found a nail salon that I am satisfied with until I came here. I like that the staff here is attentive, friendly and very detailed with my nails. They really take their time to make sure the shape of the nails are all the same. Had such a great experience here. First, I almost exclusively do my own nails because it's so often a lackluster experience or the service just doesn't yield the greatest of results and leaves me having to fix it later or rehab from it for a few weeks. This was GREAT. The location is in a quiet neighborhood. Parking was simple. The space is filled with mature plants and has great energy. Music isn't too loud and it was mostly quiet on a Sunday morning. Make an appt. It's polite. Was able to get a Groupon for a mani-pedi at a stellar deal for my best friend and I... def worth looking. The long wear polish I can report back on. The mani and pedi are both looking perfect afterward. Honestly the best professional mani I've had in so long - usually I just feel stressed as I watch someone ruin my healthy natural nails and cuticles but this one was literally perfect. Gentle. A very long overdue review... I purchased a $100 gift card in December 2018 for my mother-in-law as a holiday gift. In February 2019, my mother-in-law shared that she never received it. I just assumed she did and never asked her until it came up in convo. I emailed Jennifer to let her know the gift card hadn't been delivered, to which she responded that a gift card would be personally delivered on that day (my mother-in-law lives a few blocks away). A few weeks to a month later, I find out again that she still hadn't received a gift card. I emailed Jennifer again requesting a refund only to receive no response. So, I'm out $100 and still feeling sour about that horrific customer service experience. I only thought of this place again today as I searched around again this year for a holiday gift and this place came up. Just awful! If I could give this place zero stars I would. I can't speak on their provided services but I can speak on their lack of customer service and total clerical incompetence. I'm sure they won't bother to read this, make things right, or bother to acknowledge that they are willing to take money from people without providing services. Went here today to get a mani-pedi purchased with Groupon. The ladies were so friendly and helped me pick out a color- even offered to test it on my nail and change if I didn't like it. I made my appointment at a time when it wasn't too busy so I had two people doing my hands and feet which made the process a lot quicker. Came across Quince Spa thanks to their waxing Groupon deal! I went 2 days before my trip to Hawaii and I do see myself coming back here. The first thing I noticed walking inside is how well put together the shop is. It looks clean and sleek! Spa chairs look nice for Mani's/Pedi's. Staff automatically greeted me with a nice welcome and helped me right away. I only had to wait 5 minutes for the waxing lady. In terms of the waxing room, it was clean as well.The waxing bed had parchment paper (not sure if that is the proper term haha), which is a must. The waxing process of course is painful but it was quick!! I appreciated the lady having a conversation with me while waxing me because I actually get more nervous and anxious when it is silent. Meanwhile, conversations help keep me busy from thinking about the pain or worry of when the next peel will happen haha. I thought it was also a bonus that the waxing lady made sure to clean up more with tweezers and picking out ingrown hairs! I definitely was satisfied and plan to come back. read more

The painting skill is just not there - both fingernails and toenails (done by two different aestheticians) looked caked-on and was clumpy. There were a wide variety of nail color options and I opted for a bright cherry red on my toes and a pale pink for my fingers. My nail technician was very kind when I asked to change my first choice of pink after she put a little on my nail because it was way brighter than I expected. The salon was comfortable, but not overly fancy or ostentatious, which I appreciated. Both my manicure and pedicure lasted several weeks without chipping- which I was impressed by. Upon arrival they told me it's $10 additional to remove my old dip powder manicure (a charge not mentioned anywhere on their website or the Groupon). The woman who removed my dip powder burned my fingers several times. While I was happy with the overall look of my manicure and pedicure upon completion, it's only the next day and my paint is chipping (they guarantee no chips for 7 days). It was $60 plus tip for this service and my fingers don't look good just the next day. I won't be returning. Very disappointed. read more

This place is in a nice quiet area of Potrero Hill, right next to the 22nd Street Caltrain station. I had never been in, but wanted to try it out based on its great reviews. I booked my appointment for a gel mani and regular pedi through Yelp - Jennifer was super quick to respond, which I was incredibly thankful for since I was booking for the next day and with less than 24 hours notice! The salon was large, a lot of open space, and had a quiet relaxing vibe. They had a vast array of polish colors, tons of styles of Havaianas flip-flops along the walls, and comfy chairs (non-massaging, which I was fine with). I unfortunately didn't catch my technician's name, but she did a FABULOUS job with my nails - very precise, and I was out of there in under an hour! The prices were cheap, so I tipped well. FYI they prefer cash tips, but accept card. The only few things that would have made this place 5 stars is if I was offered a beverage when I came in, and if they had started me on time - they started me about 10 minutes late, but like I said, my technician was quick and got me to the Caltrain with plenty of time to spare. They do an excellent job for mani pedi. I am a huge clutz and the first time I got a regular mani here, it last a week without chipping! Usually my manicures chip by the 3rd day. Their pedicures are perfectly done as well and mine last at least 2 weeks without any defects, but my toes also grow slow. They have all beauty around services from hair cutting, waxes eye lash extensions, and even massages. Parking is easy. Highly recommend making reservations. The reason why I deducted a star is because their pricing is a bit steep compared to other nail spas sin SF, $29 + tip for a pedicure. Otherwise quality work. read more

Got a gel mani here and had a great experience. I have really short nails that many salons don't do a good job shaping, and I was so happy with the attention to detail here! My nails are really well rounded and look longer than they usually do, and the framing/design is really delicate and well done. Sadly I don't have the name of my nail tech, but seeing the other mani a few chairs down from me I don't think you'll be disappointed with anyone. A few days after my mani I did come in again due to a weird coloration issue that may have been my fault (had some staining--but I'm still not 100% sure), and after a quick inspection they fixed my entire mani without question and were so kind about the whole thing. Context: mani-pedi purchased on Groupon (I forgot to do the Yelp checkin and missed out on the lavender paraffin dip that is free with a mani-pedi.) Absolutely wonderful job by both Yen (pedicure) and Anette (manicure), both sets of polishes are going strong after 4 days. Anette also gave a great hand massage. I was having pain in my right hand from writing too much, and it felt way better after Anette was done. One nit: the foot soak for the pedicure is just in a metal bucket of warm water. It was a detriment to the experience. The vinylux polish resisted scratches even from a metal zipper that I accidentally brushed against about 10 minutes after application. There are two small bubbles on my right hand, but I choose metallics for my hands because it disguises bubbles and small imperfections. The polish on my toes are perfect, though it did hurt a little when my toenails were clipped. Overall verdict: above average. I'd come back for the manicure. Yen did a great job with the polish on my toes, but I've had better overall pedicure experiences. read more
