    Chicken salad sandwich
    Jessica A.

While waiting for my flight, opted to give Busboys and Poets airport location a try. I wasn't impressed. It wasn't busy, but I think the waitress forgot I was there as it took quite a while for me to place an order after being given a menu. The waitress was apologetic, so I'll give her credit for that. The chicken salad Was okay, but I feel like the ratio was off. I would've preferred more chicken salad or less bread. More or less on par for what I'd expect from an airport dining experience. I recommend 5 Guys instead.

The lamb gyro was quite taste but the service was terribly slow and the app rarely worked.

Came here while waiting for my flight to nyc and a few things threw me off with my encounter with Christopher at the bar. The alcohol options are limited so I went with a corona. He requested my ID so I handed him the ID and instead of him handing it back to me he tosses it back to me onto the bar top. I then ask him for a lime he says oh I thought you said "you didn't want any lime" in a sarcastic tone. I never said that, I actually asked for a lime with the corona then he blames it on the music being too loud. Lastly he prints me my check twice ten minutes apart. Not sure what that was supposed to signify. Overall just an odd and unpleasant visit with him serving me.

While in the D Terminal at lunch time I came to the Express counter for Busboys & Poets for some to-go food to eat on the plane. The menu had several nice, appealing, and "portable" options, so I asked the cashier which was best and she liked the fried chicken sandwich, so I went with it. She said it takes a few minutes longer to make, which was fine with me. Overall, it didn't take very long to get my order and the smell was so yummy! The packaging they use is great for to-go and definitely for eating on a plane's pull-out table. Once I dug into my food - it looked and tasted great! The chicken was breaded beautifully and clearly brined or marinated to have a nice, moist, and tender texture but also have amazing flavor. Their aioli was so good when combined with the sandwich bread, toppings, and chicken too. The fries were good, but nothing special. Overall - very good food! Great for taking on the plane. I'd stop in again!

Let's start with the unexpected hero of this story... the chicken sandwich. This thing had absolutely no business being as good as it was. The breaded chicken slapped, the pickle had that perfect crisp snap, and the brioche bun came strolling in like it knew it was the prettiest person at the party. Seriously, that bun deserves recognition for its supporting role. Even the fries were really good, and I'm not a fries guy. Usually fries are just the edible packing material keeping my sandwich from sliding around the plate, but I actually found myself eating these voluntarily. Unfortunately, my margarita was aggressively mid. It wasn't bad. It wasn't good. It was technically a margarita and successfully completed all contractual obligations associated with being one. The atmosphere was... a restaurant. There were tables. There were chairs. People ate food at them. No particular vibe or energy jumped out at me. Service was similarly pure, uncut service. We ordered things. Those things arrived. Transactions occurred. Mission accomplished. Would I go back? Absolutely if someone suggested it. Would I cross state lines and embark on a pilgrimage? Probably not. But I'd order that chicken sandwich again without hesitation... and maybe ask if they'll put my margarita on a brioche bun too.

From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. His recommendations were on point, and his energy really elevated the whole meal. We kicked things off with the nachos, and they absolutely did not disappoint--loaded, flavorful, and the perfect start. For our mains, we went with the Cadillac burger and the Canyon Creek burger, both cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. One beef and one bison. You can tell they really take pride in the quality of their food. Also, the fries were fresh and good. The salt and pepper onions set the bar high. But honestly, the standout for us was the half sour pickles they bring out--so fresh, crisp, and ridiculously good. We loved them so much we had to grab some to take home! Between the incredible food and even better service, this place really knocked it out of the park. We'll definitely be back. I also meant to mention a gentlemen came by at the end of the meal to clear some plates. I believe he may of been a manager (wore a tie) and gave us the story of the pickles and how they were processed and came to be a part of their establishment . Great touch to end the meal!

The Crowne Plaza front desk gave me a 15% OFF coupon at check-in too. The Sparkle Sangria was very good, and I ordered a second. I ordered the Maryland Blue Crab Dip and Wedge Salad. The toasted baguette wedges were a nice accompaniment to the hot dip. But the dip was unexciting and bland. It took so long for the salad to come out, I was about to tell them to forget about it. The bacon on the wedge salad was a bit undercooked. Maybe this is me -- but part of the appeal of Wedge Salad is slicing into the crispy lettuce wedge. PST serves there's already sliced. When you come to your table, you scan the QR code and order from their menu. They have a variety of dishes on their breakfast and lunch/dinner menu. All of them come out in small plates. We came during breakfast but right as they switched over to lunch, so we got to try from both menus. Overall, the food was a 10/10! I think I actually liked the breakfast food more - mainly the quiche and belgian waffles with bacon. The lunch food was still pretty good too. We also got alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks that were yummy! The service was great!! The food came out within 10-15 min of ordering and there was plenty of staff serving, cleaning up dishes and pouring champagne. We actually had an accident where a glass of champagne fell and spilled everywhere, but the staff responded right away and helped clean our table and also our belongings. Will for sure be coming again in future travels!
