I have never been to a Capital One Lounge and this was my first time. So to clarify, this is Capital One Landing, not your classic lounge. This is more like a restaurant since they will assign you a seat. I came here during breakfast and I really really enjoyed all their dishes. Everything is on the QR code with additional side dishes at the bar. If you hold a Capital One Venture card, everything is free, otherwise each guest is $45 I believe. All my food and drinks were brought to me very fast. The ambiance is very calm and had the same vibe as any other lounge. It is a great place to do some work while getting delicious food. And yes, I would say the food at Capital One Landing has been much better than any of the lounges I have gone to so far (at least domestically). I really hope they expand Capital One Landing to other airports as well. So dar, it only exists in DCA at D.C. and LGA at NYC. read more

I definitely think that the venture x card was totally worth it as someone who lives in the dc area. I personally prefer the DCA landing because the airport is much smaller so it's more convenient for me. After they've removed guests from accessing the lounge for free, it's hit or miss still whether there will be a wait. Usually I'm still able to get in in time before my flight departs but I do wish they were more efficient with the seating. Now that they only allow the cardholder, I ended up sitting at a booth for 4 by myself and same with a lot of other people and that's why there was a wait. The food is always amazing though. They switch up the menu slightly but for the most part there are the same staples that hit every time. It's a very nice, calm atmosphere before getting on my flight. read more

Great new addition to DCA! For years there hasn't been lounge access and I'm happy Capital One has finally created a space for its consumers. You may only use this space for 3 hours prior to flight departure. Not for any arriving flights. Complimentary access for Capital One card owners. Entry fee for non card holders (maybe $90?). Wait times are long as they sometimes cannot keep up with demands and limited seating areas. Sign in at the desk and you'll get a text when they have space. I waited 45 minutes. The check in area feels cramped with two podiums and way too many checkin staff crowded at the front. Once you get a text, you have 10 minutes to arrive or you may have to sign up again. Once checked in, you have an assigned seat based on size of your party. So you won't have a choice on preferred seating section. Once seated, scan the QR code on the table where you may place an order for any menu items including drinks. They also have an area with quick item snacks like cheese & crackers, hummus, veggies, meats and you can obtain your dessert items here. They offer fancy teas from Art of Tea and coffee. Paper cups available if you want to take a drink to go on your way out. Soft drinks & water available in the mini fridge. I tried the vegetarian and vegan options. The lentil soup was good and filling. Three cheese grill cheese is good but a bit too much cheese making it heavy. Also tried a rice with tofu & avocado. This was okay. Needed a sauce or some added flavor. My guava mocktail was refreshing. Hummus & veggies were good. The soft serve with cocoa nibs & sea salt was good. Comes in a cute smiling cup. There are no to-go items or take away options. So plan on staying seated to dine. There is free WiFi, charging stations at your seat, and single restroom available. I hope they add more healthy options. *** Tip - if there is a long wait time and you can't get in, they have a small cafe of quick items for sale. With a Cap One credit card, all items are half off! Pros and cons on this update. Pros are still all food and drink based. They added additional items to their dinner menu, including tacos and steak and one or two veggie options which were great additions and awesome to expand the menu for more options. Dessert continues to be amazing, the added salt and chocolate sauce for the oat soft serve is perfect. They were even coming around doing caviar cones for people so that was cool. Downsides, I tried to sign up for the waitlist ahead of time but I wouldn't let me so had to wait to show up and get on the list which was a pain. Then they put me on the list despite there being multiple tables and individual seats open. I went up after a couple minutes and asked about it and they didn't really have an answer and let me take one of the many individual seats that were open. read more

Every time I'm at DCA, I make it a priority to make it to this spot. It's located conveniently in the main terminal and makes it easy when leaving to get to your gate. I've never had to wait to get entrance and the staff is always incredibly kind. There is plenty of space and tables but not much "lounge" space like your typical airport lounges, more like a restaurant. The food is ordered by app on your phone and is admittedly pretty small in portion sizes; however the taste is phenomenal. The drinks are spectacular, especially the espresso martini! This is a really cool concept and it is less crowded than the traditional Capital One lounges. I was there about an hour and a half before closing and I tried a handful of items on the menu. There were a few things that needed attention (the coffee had not been replenished and was cold and the soft serve machine was down) but for the most part it was great! Not crowded at that time of evening and the food that I had mobile ordered came really fast. They also have some cold appetizers that you can walk up to get, as well as a cooler with soft drinks and a tap with water that are all self-serve. I ordered a Negroni which was very well-made. Staff was super friendly and they even gave me a couple extra of their dark chocolates to go with me, which I enjoyed at the gate before I boarded my flight. I've noticed each lounge has a certain flavor and this flavor was Laurel & Olive Oil. (Denver has some sort of peach hops and IAD has cherry). I tried a variety of Spanish meats, cheeses, and olives. I also enjoyed some peppers and grilled leeks. I will try something more hearty next time. This might be my favorite Capital One concept of all! read more

Capital One collaborated with José Andrés on the menu. Most of the food is great, and they are tapas so don't expect big portions. Items ordered on the QR code come at a timely matter. They also have food options that you can get at the counter. I've seen the lounge not too busy, and I've also seen it super busy with long lines. I've been there during their breakfast and lunch menus. Capital One allows one guest (compared to their other lounges that allow two guests) for free until February 2026. A great open cafe for those with a Capital One Venture X card. Entry is free for those with the card, for all others it is $90. A great place with small plates. The menu is delicious. I've been here a couple times now. If you're flying from DCA and not in T1 (manly SWA) then it's worth stopping here. It's more like a restaurant format than an enclosed lounge. There's a juice and water station on tap, a regular food line that they give you, and then self service coffee + pastries. The best part about this place is they seat you upon check in, it really helps with the overall flow - no 1-person parties taking a 4-top. At the table is a QR CODE to order more hearty items. DCA has one of the best lounges I've visited and is an easy five star review. Capital One cardholders (you know who you are) can enter 3 hours before your flight departs- and you should take advantage of this benefit. Once we were seated, we scanned the QR code to order food and drinks. We ordered (at least) one of everything on the tapas menu, and you can also walk up to get more snacks like Caesar salad, charcuterie (meats, cheese, bread/crackers), and desserts. For drinks, I had two mimosas that hit the spot! The orange juice to champagne ratio was just right, and the juice used was delicious. They also offer specialty cocktails, wine, coffees, a few beers, and canned Pepsi products. The drinks menu has mocktails, and I would have tried one, except I tried the mimosa first and it was great, so I wanted another. We walked up and got right into the lounge, but you can reserve ahead of time. I would recommend this as it is a bit smaller than some lounges. If you're traveling alone, it may be easier to get in and sit in the bar area. Some of my favorite food items included the Gambas al Ajillo (shrimp) hot dish and the Bikini de Queso (grilled cheese sandwich), and my husband got seconds of the Carne Asada con Mojo Verde. The ice cream sundae for dessert was also wonderful. The menu lists if items are suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and those avoiding gluten. Have been back a lot since it's been a heavy travel month. However may be it's my imagination but I feel like the breakfast menu has shrunk? I don't love a lot of the breakfast dishes. The ones that continue to be my favorite are the eggs Benedict and the fried eggs with fries. Thought having such serious friend and oily foods in the morning and before flying generally isn't a good idea. The food is good just may need more selection. My first time here and it was fabulous! This location is part of a collaboration with José Andrés, so I had high expectations, and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere: Very lively and energetic. There are 2 single restrooms (could definitely use more). Plenty of seating is available, but I recommend joining the waitlist through the app to save time. The food: Served tapas style. You can grab cold cuts, cheeses, and small bites directly from the tapas bar, or order from the menu through your phone. My favorites were the Baba Ganoush and the Carne Asada. Came here during a very short layover and they were able to fit a group of 4 of us in without a reservation. Food was delicious but to be fair, I was only inhaling for our next flight. Since we were short on time, we asked the server how long food usually takes and she went back to check and brought our food out. Unfortunately, 2 of our friends had to leave earlier to make sure that they didn't have to check in their carry on which left us with a lot of food that came out. We inhaled as much as possible within 5 minutes and ran for our gate, but it was 100% worth it. If you're short on time, like us, as soon as you sit down, order on the QR code and hope it comes pretty quick. The first round did. Drinks come out very quick no matter when we ordered it and I loved Ben Franklin's Milk Punch. On the QR code menu, we ordered: Gambas al ajillo, crroquetas de pollo, eggplant and tofu donburi, carne asada con mojo verde, biini mixto, taco de chilorio. The Gambas al ajillo, Carne asada con mojo verde, and the Taco de Chilorio (according to my friend) were very good. We shoveled everything down and made a run for our flight. The waitress was very understanding that our friends left us with a lot of food but we still felt bad so tried to eat as much as possible. I was heading to Atlanta to visit family and realized I had a coupon for a free coffee courtesy of Capital One. When I presented the coupon, I was informed that the coupon was only good at the Capital One Cafe locations which are not the same as the airport lounge. A gentleman working there named Corey noticed my disappointment and went ahead and fulfilled the free coffee offer for me. This was a very kind gesture and I really appreciated it. Stopped by the Capital One Landing at DCA because our flight was delayed. At the counter, we were told they would only be open for another 30 minutes and we appreciated the clear communication. There were plenty of outlets for each seating section. The hot food can be ordered via QR code at the table and came out pretty quickly. I enjoyed the Gambas al Aijillo - shrimp with tomato and bay leaves as well as the grilled cheese which were cooked to perfection. The shrimp was so delicious, I ordered a second. They have cocktails, mocktails, coffee, and tea. We didn't have enough time to enjoy the tapas section. One suggestion I have for the landing would be to add a screen with flight times inside the space since most lounges have that. My friend stepped out of the lounge to make sure we did not miss boarding because the app was not showing the live updates and we had no way to check inside the lounge. read more

With the Capital One Venture X credit card, ALL of the Capital One lounges in addition to over 1000 partnered airport lounges are included as part of the benefits. This lounge unbelievably is Chefed by JOSÉ Andres.. Whattt?!! YUP! It's only a year old and is in a centralized location of the airport, where finding other lounges in airports is like looking for a buried treasure.. Lol You can either make a reservation or walk in, just know, it can get a little crowded, so last time out, they were able to set us up at the bar because all of the tables were full. The food selections may be the best that I've ever eaten at an airport lounge. The steak and shrimp dishes were literally the same quality as Jose Andres' tapas style restaurants in the city, namely my favorite, Jaleo. It has a fully stocked complementary bar to satisfy all of your adult beverage needs. To date, this is my favorite airport lounge, unfortunately, Capital One has followed AMEX' lead. An absolute gem of a lounge. This is in Terminal 2. I couldn't figure out why priority pass had what felt like 50 million lounges at Dulles but none at Reagan. We weren't even looking for the lounge, we were walking to get food around E and stumbled upon it. Right now, because it's before February 2026, both my husband and I could get one guest each in with us, which was our six and four year old. There are changes coming after February 2026 so definitely check the rules if it's after then. The food here is by Jose Andres who I know because of Jaleo at Disney springs. It's tapas, which means we ended up getting three dishes of the steak (which was three pieces each, and to die for). The chilled pea soup was also delicious. The shrimp was pretty good. My kids ate a bunch of break and pita chips. The espresso martini is on the sweet side but went well with the flan. They also have a mezcal tomato drink that tastes like a mezcal Bloody Mary. Although I did not drink any coffee or alcoholic beverages, I've tried few of their mocktails and they were delicious. My personal favorite was Cuadratura! You do not have to make a reservation, but it's recommended if you have a larger group. Looking at the reservation calendar, they do book out fast. So if you plan on traveling with a big group and want to stop by at Capital One Landing, make a reservation in advance. For one person, walk in was perfectly fine. I was seated facing the airport walkway/aisle, and it was quite pleasant. There was a QR code for me to order food and drinks, and you could also order food from the counters.
