We decided to have a college friend mini reunion (WeAre!) in Arlington, took the ferry over to King Street in Alexandria, and decided on the Fish Market for dinner and drinks. Everything was delicious, the drinks were refreshing, and HUGE, and the staff were wonderful - so friendly and engaging. You can sit inside or outside, right in the heart of King Street. So fun! In the area? Check Them Out!

Food was delish! Lobster pasta was my favorite, the sauce was so rich and there was a lot of lobster in there! The lobster roll was also generous with the lobster. Especially loved the sangria glass the size of my head.

Awesome ambience and vibe here. The buffalo oysters at $18 for 6 is a good deal and they are delicious. Good rotation of beer, excellent cocktails and a decent wine list.

It's pretty good location. We wait pretty long for the host. He took us the table where we want... We ordered ahi Tuna, buffalo shrimp and half dozen oyster. Oyster was pretty good. Rest of it was ok. The balcony was good

You can't beat the Fish Market's location at the end of King Street, and the vibe is exactly what you want from a classic, historic seafood restaurant. It has that perfect mix of casual, friendly, and delicious. I recommend sitting outside under the umbrella-covered tables for a beautiful atmosphere and great people-watching. The service is fast and reliable, and the menu has all the seafood favorites. My personal go-tos are the Caesar salad with salmon and the ahi tuna starter, both always fresh and flavorful. Whether you're stopping in after a walk along the waterfront, coming for brunch, or settling in for dinner, this is a great spot.

My friends and I decided to grab a bite to eat after our bike ride. We freshened up, changed clothes, then decided to pedal our bikes to dinner versus 4 separate vehicles paying for garage parking. Lots of options, but we landed at Fish Market. It was my first time visiting but my homies went on & on about the HH deals and peel & eat shrimp. We arrived around 5:30. It was a nice warm evening & Fish Market has a descent sized outdoor dining area where we could keep an eye on our bikes & people watch. However, the server informed us that we could only take advantage of HH specials inside. Me: Why can't we take advantage of the HH specials out here again? That's the policy. You must be inside, but you guys can leave your bikes out here & go inside. We all started laughing & respectfully declined. We ordered several items but didn't go crazy since we had to ride our bikes back. We shared mozzarella sticks that were huge & had a nice crunch on the outside. The peel & eat shrimp were served in some sort of delicious buttery sauce with fresh herbs which had my palate doing backflips. I enjoyed my shrimp tacos too. Looking forward to trying more in the future.

Got a table on a weekday evening without reservations. The clam chowder was hot and good. The crackers seemed off. The tacos were good.

My boyfriend and I checked Fish Market out on a whim as we looked for restaurants surrounding King Street. We went in a little after 7 pm, and were immediately seated. They have a good selection of seafood and pasta dishes. I was torn between the Cacciucco and the shrimp po boy. The waitress told me both were really good choices, but she would recommend the po boy. I took her recommendation, and got it with sweet potato fries as a side. I also had the clam chowder to start. My boyfriend had the salmon with rice and rainbow carrots. The food came out in a decent amount of time. I loved the clam chowder. It was creamy, hearty, and a nice size to start. Then, the po boy was full of shrimp, ripe tomatoes, and crispy lettuce. The fries were really good and I couldn't finish them because the sandwich itself was very filling. My boyfriend enjoyed his salmon, but the rice, itself, was pretty bland and needed some seasoning to flavor it up. Overall, we both enjoyed and would return.

Great food and great service! Stopped into Fish Market for a quick bite to eat after an evening out in Old Town. Angel was an amazing server and was able to explain all of our questions about the menu. The calamari was tasty, the only con is I wish they had Asian Chili sauce instead of the spicy mayo and salsa offered. For the main entree, I ordered the Seaside Pasta. I honestly was underestimating how filling it would be but I had more than enough to take home and it was super tasty! I'm a fan of a hint of spice, so if you're like me I'd ask for them to add spice (which I did, but they forgot to add it). The friends I visited with also enjoyed their meals and I'd definitely be back to try a few other options in their menu.

Fish Market Restaurant is the perfect place for a pit stop when you spend the afternoon exploring the waterfront. We started off with a dozen of their local oysters ($32) and they were so good, we ordered another dozen. I usually prefer a smaller, brinier oyster, but these were so sweet and bite size. Oysters are just oysters sometimes, but these were remarkably good. Whatever is in the local water is clearly producing the sweetest oysters. To break up all the oyster eating, we also shared: -clam chowder ($9) -fish n' chips ($28): beer-battered Alaskan cod fillets with Captain's fries & slaw Both were exactly the kind you'd expect to eat at this type of establishment. Good, standard All-American seafood fare. There was no wait when we dined around 5:00PM. Easy in and out. Perfect afternoon snack.

The Fish Market was enjoyable. I loved the outdoor seating. The food was good but the menu wasn't anything special, with many fried options. I enjoyed the FRIED TROUT. It was delicate and tasty, with a light breading. The lemon cream sauce made the dish. It was buttery delicious! We really enjoyed the outdoors seating. They have huge space indoors and can handle many large parties simultaneously. It appeared to be a common spot for school groups. We saw three or four come out, each with dozens of students.

Benches like church pews, and still the place is packed for brunch!

The place can get quite busy so I would highly recommend making a reservation first. We ordered some cocktails which all tasted amazing, I enjoyed the espresso martini the most. Our table ordered the baked oysters and tuna tartare to start. The oysters were seriously so fricking good, I wanted to order another round! The tuna tarate was refreshing and tasted really good as well. I highly recommend ordering the fish curry or their scallop entree. I also got to have a bite of the chicken & waffles and the steak pasta but I would skip on those. Super excited to come back!!

My wife and I arrived around 1:20 p.m. on a Thursday. The lunch crowd was still going strong, which only reinforced that we had picked a popular spot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. When we walked in, there was no hostess to be found. After waiting about four minutes, she finally appeared and offered us a choice between a small table in the corner or one by the bar. Given how busy the restaurant was, we took the table by the bar. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.

Haven't been to Chadwicks in a while, so it was nice to convene for a recent brunch to catch up with some friends. While there is limited outdoor seating, I prefer the upstairs since it's typically quieter, and the abundant windows naturally illuminate the space. The interior is also characterized by nautically themed decor, along with exposed brick walls and hardwood flooring. TBH, this is one of the better Brunch spots in Old Town. There brunch menu is extensive - https://static1.squarespace.com/static/68d065ce6d80726524c2bca9/t/6a3d8efe5e4fbd1439f0bc1a/1782419198238/Brunch.pdf - and has all of traditional breakfast offerings of pancakes, french toast, a variety of eggs, sausage/bacon/ham, etc. While there are also lunch type savory options such as sandwiches and chicken and pasta entrees, I opted for the classic biscuits and gravy. I don't normally eat this type of heavy carb heavy dish...but every now and then, it's not so bad. The plate arrived with two buttermilk biscuits, country bacon gravy, two sunny side up two eggs, and home fries. The gravy was nice and thick with pieces of sausage bits, but I found the biscuits on the dry side, rather than buttery and flaky. Eggs were prepared properly and had that satisfying "ooze" when the yolks were popped. Home fries tasted previously frozen and could've used a few more minutes in the fryer. Service was a bit slow as there was only one staff taking orders and delivering food. But he was friendly and would circle back around to check on our group frequently. Pair your meal with a few choices of cocktails (I ordered a $5 mimosa) and Chadwicks brunc h is a great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. Be sure to inform your server ahead of time, if separate checks are desired. One brunch entree, one mimosa with tax and tip totalled to about $25.

The chocolate fudge cake was very rich and very tasty. But even I, as a chocolate lover, would have preferred that the cake had come with some vanilla ice cream to balance things out. The key lime pie with Chantilly cream was good with a sharp lime flavor. I ordered the Vanilla Bean Trifle. This dessert came with a blackberry compote, Chantilly cream, whipped cream and a crispy thin butterscotch tuile wafer. The flavors in the trifle were great, but because the dessert was served at nearly room temperature, it wasn't very appealing. To be best enjoyed, this dessert should have been chilled.
