Good reviews helped me get over my fears from the bad ones to use this service so here's another. We had as good an experience as you can expect. I shipped 6 boxes (small and medium moving boxes, 20-35 lbs pounds each) from Utah to Maryland, station to station. They all arrived in 9 days and in great shape. We didn't ship any breakables and followed all the advice of other reviewers: -Fill the boxes 100% so they can't be squished. -Don't make any box too heavy -Lots of tape -Bright colored tape -Box 1/6, 2/6, etc. on all sides of each box -Shrink wrap everything like crazy. I can't recommend this enough. There were some punctures in the shrink wrap post-shipping, but it protected the boxes really well. We also put the shipping label from busfreighter on every side of the box. Greyhound actually prints and uses a different barcode once you drop them off, so I'm not sure this was worthwhile. It was an easy way to put the address all over though. This also means you can definitely put it under your shrink wrap, which I was unsure about. NOTE YOUR STATION HOURS: Check the hours of your station directly with the Greyhound website. Busfreighter offers times to say you'll drop it off when you order. I learned the hard way these weren't limited by the actual station hours. The Salt Lake City counter is closed between 12-5 pm, the exact period I picked on busfreighter (which doesn't matter at all apparently besides maybe influencing the priority of sending your shipping labels). The Package Express site did have the correct hours, but I didn't think to look. PRICE: Several reviews have said Busfreighter charges more than directly from Greyhound. We used greyhounds online calculator to check, and our shipment would've been over $100 more. You receive a receipt from Greyhound which shows a lower price, which might explain the comments. It says on one of the emails this is the rate Busfreighter is charged. It makes sense, Busfreighter sends tons of boxes a day through Greyhound and so gets a way lower rate than a person with one shipment. Maybe there's a scenario when Greyhound directly is cheaper, but Busfreighter saved me money for sure. WEIGHT ESTIMATES: We didn't have a great weighing system and overestimated our total weight when we bought the labels. True to the info on their site, Busfreighter refunded me the amount paid for the extra weight after I emailed in the slip from greyhound. It did take a full 5 business days to process to my card, fair warning. MISC: Parking at both stations was a nightmare, if possible bring two people so you can get your boxes in/out as fast as possible since you'll probably be parked illegally. The pick up station was great, we were able to get our car right next to where the boxes were (though still probably in a fire lane) and the station worker even helped us load them. When dropping off we lugged them across a whole train station. It's not world class service but both employees got what needed done. The tracking number Busfreighter gives you doesn't work with GPX's lookup. From other reviews I think the real one is on the slip greyhound gives you if you drop them off, but our boxes came quick enough I never took the time to check, so I can't comment on that. read more

The shortest version is this company discriminates against people with disabilities, especially Lauren. You may or may not get your items, it may be this year or next year. Lauren provides rude and poor customer support. The Greyhound agent was the only person who was kind and helped me to ensure my things came, piece by piece for over a 50 box shipment. You won't get your money back and their complaint process is designed for you to fail, because if you do before you get your things, they (or specifically Lauren), will threaten or actually have you things not be picked up or delivered to you but no refund. read more

Now I wish I had used another shipping service. They provide you with online tracking information, but it's useless when something goes missing. 1/9/2018 update: package arrived after 24 days of travel. Of course I won't be able to pick it up until the 21st, when I'm back in NY. I informed Kevin about the delay and the $50 storage fee that I will have to pay. He wrote to me that they will refund my shipping cost because of the delay and inconvenience. I think this was an honorable thing to do. I'm upping my rating for that, and I'm editing the original post. So, if you have something that will be difficult to ship by regular carrier, or simply too large, and you have time, then it's ok. I wish I have read all the negative reviews about Busfreighter and Greyhound Package Express before I decided to use them. When my package did not arrive in time, I called customer service number privided. Which was Greyhound. And, instead of promised 5 days, or "a little bit longer", quoted by Busfreighter, I was told 30 days or more. In addition, it would not come to Hempstead, Long Island (original destination), but would go to NYC, where it is very difficult for me to pick up. So I'm waiting, and have a choice of either cancelling my New Year's trip, or facing a $5 per day storage charge (whenever my package will come). Shame. read more

I shipped medium sized boxes from Austin TX to Denver CO. I have not received it after 2 weeks. They confidently told me that it will be in denver in about 6 days. but, they DO NOT guarantee ANYTHING when I called them to see where my boxes were. I wish it was maybe 2 weeks wait for my boxes. They are still in Austin after 2 weeks and they cannot find one. So, there it goes. When I asked for compensation or partial refund, they said it has not been long enough and again they don't guarantee anything. read more

Just an update. Because of the price advantage by using BF, we decided to use them again for a large 2nd shipment of 24 boxes. The second time around, all went smoothly, the boxes were picked up on time again, they made it in great shape across the country in just a week. Staff was highly communicative about shipment arrival and were flexible with allowing us to store our boxes at the arrival site for an extra two days before retrieving them. One of the important factors is to use new boxes, preferably all the same size and style/color, and to wrap them really well with strong packing tape and a couple of layers of plastic shrink wrap. I also printed the labels that they sent at 125% size so easier to read and scan. We also used towels, blankets and clothes to cushion anything that might move around and kept each box to a maximum of 45 pounds. read more

I used Busfreighter this past month to ship four 40-pound boxes from Nashville to Portland ($150), and received all my boxes in good condition within the 10 day promised window. I had someone pick them up for me from the Greyhound station in Portland and this went smoothly - I could tell when they had arrived because I had signed up for shipping updates when I got my initial Greyhound number at the Nashville station. Note: I did not hear ANY updates for many days, only a couple of days before the boxes arrived at the final destination. Helpful tips that others suggested/that I found important: -Use fluorescent paper to label each side of your box "Last Name 1 of 4", etc. That makes it easy to identify that your boxes belong together. -Place a shipping label on each side of the box, not just one. -Use mover's stretch wrap to cover boxes. This was very helpful because it helped protect against tears. I got mine on Amazon (Duck brand) for around $20. It is a bit hard to use without having two people. -Tape your boxes well, and be sure to fill them 90-95% full so they will not get crushed in transit. I used boxes from Office Depot and they were very durable. I probably used at least 2-3 rolls of packaging tape to prepare the boxes. Taping the inside flaps shut also helped. -I shipped some kitchen items and nothing got broken, but carried most fragile items with me later. I also would not advise shipping very valuable items for your peace of mind, although USPS is quite pricey. Media mail is certainly an affordable option for books (I paid $25 for a 40-lb box sent via USPS). Overall, I found this a very affordable option compared to shipping my items via USPS and although the tracking was not the best, I was prepared for this. I would recommend this service, just be cautious about what you ship and pack your items carefully! read more

Please don't utilize this service. I naively thought that BusFreighter and Greyhound would be a cheap and easy alternative to ship large packages, especially since it is highly reviewed as a great moving option on other websites. I was promised 7 day shipping via busfreighter. I kept calling and checking the tracking of the packages (which wasn't updated, and to this day has not been updated). After 17 days, 4 of my 5 boxes finally arrived, torn up and with no warning since the tracking and the greyhound attendants still said the packages were 2,000 miles away. It has now been a month and half since I shipped my boxes, and no one at greyhound can find my missing package, after putting three different traces on it. I was finally told to file a claim on the missing box, and email that claim to greyhound. Its been over two weeks and my email hasn't been answered, despite be repeatedly sending the email and calling to ask the status of my email request. The people on the phone are very nice when and if you can get ahold of them, but they have absolutely no power in tracking down a shipment or authorizing any form of action. I deeply regret my decision to use Busfreighter and Greyhound, and have lost very valuable and sentimental items. I have no idea when or if I will be allotted my claim, but even then it won't replace my missing items, or the inconvenience/stress this whole process has caused. Recently moved from Chicago to Los Angeles. Shipped 10 boxes weighing a total of 361 lbs door-to-door for about $470. Would strongly recommend this mode of shipping for people on a budget, but you must know what you are signing up for. Busfreighter contracts through Greyhound Package Express to ship items on a "per space available" basis. Therefore, this option is best for people with no furniture and no strict deadline. Here is a detailed account of my experience: Day 1: Submitted and paid for my order through Busfreighter. Opted for door-to-door service with pick-up the following day. I immediately received a confirmation email. 4 hours later I received an email with my shipping labels. From prior reviews, I took care to pack my boxes well (95-98% full), taped edges and corners copiously with packaging tape, and wrapped them in plastic mover's tape. I also taped a shipping label on all sides of the boxes AND wrote in big letters "Box X of X for Name". Day 2: I had scheduled pick-up to be between 9am-1pm. At 8:30 I received a call that the servicer was on his way. Boxes were picked up at 9:30am. Little concerning that he basically picked them up and I had no additional instructions on how to track my boxes. *Note* Door-to-door only pick up and drops off at the ground floor, or in buildings with an elevator. Day 5: Wanted to check where my boxes were and if I had overpaid for my shipment's weight. From prior reviews I knew I had to call Busfreighter to get my Greyhound GLI/GPX tracking number. Spoke to an extremely incompetent person who had no idea what he was doing. I ultimately asked him to transfer me to someone else. The second person, thankfully, was able to provide me my Greyhound GLI/GPX tracking number. I then went to the Greyhound Package Express website and tracked my package. The site is a bit confusing, but the Greyhound agent was able to explain the format to me. Some of my boxes were in Dallas, others still in Chicago. I was also able to confirm verbally that my shipment weighed in less than what I had paid. I was unable, however, to get any of this in a statement, invoice, or email. I then emailed Busfreighter in regards to a refund on overpayment for the weight of my shipment. I specifically had to mention my GPX/GLI number. I received a reply in 3-4 hours and was granted a refund which was reflected in my bank account 3 days later. Day 8: Three boxes were already in LA, 3 outbound from Dallas, 4 outbound from Chicago. Day 9: Eight/10 boxes were now in LA, the remaining 2 boxes still did not have status updates since they were outbound from Chicago. Day 10: I receive a call from the Greyhound facility at my final destination informing me that my packages had all arrived in LA and to schedule a delivery time. We agreed upon a 9a-1p delivery window the following Monday (2 days later). Day 12: Monday. I waited 9a-12:30p, no calls or deliveries. I called the Greyhound location back at 1pm to confirm delivery for the day. Apparently, a mistake had happened. The man seemed very apologetic and said he would try to fit the delivery in that day, but definitely scheduled it for the following day. 2 hours later I receive a call that my boxes would be able to be delivered. I really appreciated that this man from Greyhound at the North Hollywood location worked with me to get my boxes delivered as scheduled. 3:30pm got a call from the delivery man that he was on his way. 4pm, got all my boxes- which didn't appear in too sad of shape (I packed them really well). I did have some broken ceramic pieces, but I didn't wrap them well in retrospect. Everything else was in good condition. Overall impressions: amazing affordable method to ship/move cross-country, but you have to be patient and very proactive. I would use this service again. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!! Before moving across the country I considered many different shipping methods and thought that Busfreight would be a cheaper and less of a hassle option (I was not in a rush and customers are promised a 7-14 day delivery). At first I was pleased with the service. I could see my packages being updated online as they were being scanned into departure cites during transit. Then, only 7 days into my packages shipment, I stopped getting updates and my packages last known whereabouts are somewhere in the middle of the U.S.. I have literally called Busfreight and greyhound package express multiple times about the issue. Customers service is non existent and non of the employees are on the same page. I put out a trace for my packages and customer service told me to stop calling about it and they would call me back when they had some info. It has been 8 days since I last called, with no callback, so, its safe to assume my packages are lost and there is no information on them anywhere. It seems that my packages have been lost due to negligence as it didn't seem to be a problem to scan in my packages for the first week. I am in disbelief at how unprofessional this company is and how disregarding the company is of people who paid them to do a service and they completely failed. This is a complete scam. I was in a hurry to move (literally moving in 2 days) so I didn't have time to compare prices. Bus Freighter charged me over $150 more than Greyhound would've and it took my boxes almost 2 whole months to reach the station at my new destination. When they did come, several came severely damaged, and a couple were open. We're still not sure if we have everything. Do yourself a favor and don't use this company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Current Situation: I sent 6 boxes from California to Virginia with a "Station to Door" service. I waited almost 4 weeks and my packages haven't delivered yet. When I called the customer service to track my packages, they told me to wait. Still, I haven't heard anything from the company. SO I CALLED AGAIN SO I COULD PICK MY PACKAGES UP FROM THE STATION. The agent told me to go to the Woodbridge Greyhound station in VA which is 20-30 minutes away from my house and pick them up. Here is the real problem. The next day, I visited the local Greyhound station and guess what?!? Apparently, the station does not hold packages any more and bus drivers were not able to drop my boxes off to the station. Instead, drivers have my boxes on their buses which delayed delivery. Luckily, I got ONLY ONE BOX OUT OF SIX from the bus though am not sure where other five boxes are. I can't check each bus one by one all day at the station, and the customer service is not helping me AT ALL (they tend to transfer me to someone else on the phone b/c NOBODY can help). I still don't have any solution and might contact the customer service manager tomorrow... or check each bus at the Woodbridge station hopelessly. read more

I would not recommend Busfreighter or Greyhound Package Express, especially the use of a courier service at the destination. The problem is the documentation between GPX and the courier does not yield a proper proof of delivery. In my case the courier signed for the package and the customer was able to say he never received the package, despite the fact that 284 pounds of wheels and tires don't walk off someone's porch. I don't know who the courier was nor was GPX able to connect me with the courier. The courier obtained no signature, apparently at the customers request, and left the wheels on the porch, apparently at the customers request (according to GPX info obtained from a call to customer service). Because the signature was not the customers, despite providing tracking details from the GPX website, Payal refunded $2800 to the customer and denied my appeal after a lengthy process in which I provided the Busfreighter receipts (yes plural because I was charged again after delivery because the shipment was 84 ponds overweight) photos of the packages, shipping labels, and a screenshot of the tracking page from GPX. Ultimately PayPal decided that I couldn't prove it was delivered to the customer. The breakdown in documentation of delivery by GPX allowing the courier to sign for the package then provide no further information from the customer upon delivery will not protect you in a dispute. I tried to save a couple hundred dollars in shipping with the belief that it would be properly documented and it ended up costing me several thousand dollars. PayPal also kept the original transaction fee. I would highly recommend AGAINST this service. read more

My significant other and I shipped 10 boxes total (2 large suitcases, 1 large tote, 3 small totes, and 4 medium Uhaul boxes) weighing 412 lbs from Lansing, MI to Long Beach, CA for a total of $416 with station-to-door shipping. It would have been nearly $80 cheaper if we did station-to-station, which would have been an amazing price, but thought it was worth the money to have them delivered to our door. The drop-off at the station went really smooth (worker helped us unload the boxes onto a dolly and then weighed each one to confirm our online estimate). They were shipped out the same day we dropped them off (according to ShipTrack) and the estimated arrival was 5-7 days. On the 12th day, we called the Long Beach location and they informed us 9/10 items arrived. They provided us with the option of having them deliver the 9, and then we would have to come and pick up the 10th when it arrived. We decided to wait another week and see if the 10th one would come, as we had anticipated delays already based on previous reviews. We called 1 week later (day 19) and the status was the same. We then agreed to have them deliver the 9/10 packages the following morning. Delivery was smooth and all items within the boxes are in the same condition I shipped them. When we initially chose to use Busfreighter, I was EXTREMELY hesitant based on the reviews. I nearly refused, but then discovered there was no other affordable option to get our household/keepsake items/clothes/shoes/sports equipment/books across the country. I was scared (of boxes going missing, boxes getting torn open and destroyed, weather damage, you name it and I envisioned it). I proceeded to read the entire website and spoke online with an agent via chat to seek answers to questions/concerns. I also latched onto 1 really great Yelp review that someone had posted a month prior, in which they had a hassle-free experience. I was able to convince myself that a positive attitude and faith in the process would lead to success. Overall, I am very pleased with the condition of 9/10 items that arrived. I say 9/10 because we are still waiting on 1 tote to arrive, which leads to my reason for the 4-star service (it's been 21 days and we are still waiting). If something goes wrong, I'll be back here with an update lol. Here are my tips for this in terms of packing (since I am assuming our packing contributed to the good condition of the boxes). 1. You can use opaque totes, and if I could recommend this for every piece I would. The plastic protects the contents from any weather damage and is just overall more sturdy than boxes. Our totes are in near-perfect condition, while some of our Uhaul boxes have dings/dents/smashed corners. 2. If you use boxes, I recommend "Tape King Clear Packing Tape" on Amazon. You get 6 huge rolls for $10 and it sticks really well to the boxes (way better than any other tape I've used to ship stuff in the past). Also, if you have 6 rolls you can tape the box corners, 360 degrees around the tote handles to ensure closure, and just be really generous throughout your packing process. 3. The online agent suggested we wrap our boxes/totes with mover's stretch wrap ($10 at a Uhaul store) to protect them from weather conditions. I did this as an extra safety measure and felt it helped with securing closure of the totes and protection for clothing, books, etc. We also moved during a snowy time so I felt it was necessary. 4. Try not to leave space at the top of the boxes. I feel that they didn't have the option of getting smashed because they were each packed about 98% full. Obviously, you don't want to overfill either, but I saw some previous reviews with pictures of completely smashed boxes and I just think that it may have been a packing error. 5. Don't pack fragiles....if you have to move them cross-country and you have a decent amount, I suggest renting a car and driving them! [That's was we did :)] Hope this was helpful, and if I ever have friends/family moving cross-country and want an affordable, non-rushed option I will recommend this. Unless my box with all my books never shows up, then I take this all back and will write another review haha. UPDATE: I received the last box on March 7th, also in great condition and with no issues! Finally I got someone on the phone that said they could have someone come pick up my boxes and a woman came I had five boxes going to California she told me that they would send me a tracking number which I never received. It's been a month now I'm all moved into my new apartment in California and still have not received a tracking number no one can find my boxes no one can tell me when my boxes will arrive! Everything I own all my clothes everything was in those boxes and no one can tell me where they are and no one seems to care! I was super skeptical using busfreighter given the negative reviews. However I'm glad that I gave it a go and it turned out to be great! I shipped 20 boxes including grand wardrobe boxes to NYC. I chose the door to door delivery option and received the boxes in exactly 10 working days. I wrapped up all of my boxes using bubble wrap, stretch wrap and placed a lot of newspaper inside the boxes where plates, bowls and glasses are contained. I haven't unpacked all 20 boxes yet but I've unwrapped everything that belong to the kitchen and nothing broke! The only item that was slightly damaged was the lamp cover as it was a light box and wasn't protected really well. Apart from that, I am really impressed and happy with the shipping service provided by Busfreighter. Like everyone else said, just pack everything with a lot of bubble wraps, tape the boxes really well and most importantly just use common sense. Follow up with package express call center isn't always the most pleasant thing because they don't seem to really know where the packages are when I called and the online tracking is inaccurate. read more

We had a near-perfect experience with Busfreighter. They picked up our 6 boxes in Brooklyn, NY at precisely 9am. Then it took EXACTLY 14 days (as they stated) to get to our new place in Los Angeles, CA and they delivered them right at 9am as well. Whenever I contacted them via email, they were quick to respond and super helpful and courteous. The boxes were quite squished when they arrived but they had resealed them with plastic and tape and we didn't lose anything. I very highly recommend them for an affordable way to ship boxes, but my only advice to you is that you get extra reinforced boxes and pack them with the idea in mind that they're going to get squashed. read more

I would like other victims of this company to consider coming forward to file a class-action suit with me. Included in these boxes were work books, school texts and my relatively new mattress. They keep on telling me to go to GPX to claim the value of the missing freight, which is what I have done. They fail to understand, however, that I would also like a refund for the services that I paid for that they did not adequately provide. The customer service is despicable. The rep, 'Kenny' continually stonewalled me and eventually stopped replying to my emails. I haven't heard from any representatives of this company in more than 24 hours. I am so disappointed with bus freighter and their lack of service, caring and downright misleading advertisement. After 2.5 weeks my packages are not on the GPX tracking system and of course there's no delivery date. I have spoke to busfreighter staff and Greyhound staff (Adrian, Jessica, Lauren, Malt) to name a few. They basically tell you, that you should have known better. I know better now and wish I would have read these reviews FIRST! I would rate them ZERO stars. Right about now the only thing I will give them credit for is collecting my payment. Logistically, Busfreighter was great. We shipped over 30 boxes in our move across the country. But, there were several boxes that were literally ripped open with many items missing and damaged. There were 4 shipments and damaged boxes in each. There was a camera in a padded carrying case in one box that was completely destroyed. It looked like a truck literally ran over the box and camera. They even put everything that was salvageable in a new greyhound box. The worst was that they did not even contact us about any of this. Yes, we had insurance and they did give us the option to file a claim, which we eventually intend to do once we find the time. But it should not have happened in the first place. I shipped 11 boxes weighing 400 lbs from CA to FL. I would give it 5 stars but it took about 24 days, way too long. And a couple of the boxes were torn open. However, I didn't tape well enough. Those plastic crates you can get at Walmart will be better if shipping long distance rather than cardboard. Got all of my stuff door to door so it worked out. You have to stay on top of your shipment though because they probably won't call you. Use tracking online. I will use this service again when I move back. The first thing that must be said is that this service really only works if you have a flexible timeline for the arrival of your packages. I was moving from NY to CA and the most important thing for me was keeping costs low. Before committing to BusFreighter, I did compare pricing for other carries (FedEx, UPS, etc.) and BusFreighter was by far the lowest vendor. I did read the reviews and was hesitant to go with BusFreighter but at the end was overall pleased with the service. As context, I shipped 3 medium boxes (each about 50Lbs) and 1 very large box (close to 100 LBS). I selected the pick-up and drop-off service since I didn't have access to a car to drop off the boxes at the designated location. At the end of it all, not including weekends or holidays, it took 15 days to get my shipment delivered. I'll start from the beginning, setting up the service was pretty easy and painless. I had some clarifying questions about my boxes (dimensions etc.) and Kelly and Kevin were pretty quick at responding. You have the option of dropping off your boxes at the Greyhound location or getting them picked up. If you want to save money then I would suggest dropping them off yourself. Setting up the service does require that you know how many boxes you will be sending and approximately how much it all weights, which can be difficult. You can change your order (add a box or change weight) after you set it up; however, I didn't do this so I can't speak to this aspect. I got my shipping labels 2 days before pick--up. Please note that these labels are rather small. Since I read about people's packages getting lost, I printed a bunch of copies and put them all over each box. I also wrote my name and numbered each box so that it was clear who they belonged to. Pick-up went well. I set up a pick up window between 9am and 1pm. The driver, Phillip, was lovely. He called me before he arrived and told me he was about 45 minutes away, which gave me plenty of time to get my boxes downstairs. This is important to note, the pick-up is only to ground floors unless you have an elevator. Since I live on the 2nd floor it wasn't too bad. The reason why I am giving this service a 4 and not 5 is because I do think they could be clearer on communication and instructions on what to do once your boxes have been picked up. For example, the tracking number that is provided in the email that has your labels, isn't the tracking number that Greyhound uses. So when I went to the Greyhound website to track my packages and entered the number that was provided the website message read that my packages could not be found. Obviously, I had a bit of a freak out. I checked during the weekend so I had to wait until Monday to call Greyhound. Once I spoke with a Greyhound representative (was on hold for a bit) and provided them with my name they were able to find my packages. Greyhound provided me with the correct tracking number and using that number I was able to track my packages. Another thing to note, larger boxes really do take more time! When I spoke with the Greyhound representative, they informed me that three of my packages had arrived; however, the larger one was still in route. They only do drop-offs once all boxes have arrived. My best guess is that this larger box added 3-4 more days. My assumption was that once the boxes arrived that I would be notified for delivery. Turns out, you have to call Greyhound to schedule a drop-off. They were able to do next day delivery once all 4 boxes were there. I booked a drop-off time between 1pm and 5pm; however the delivery man arrived a little bit before 11am and I was not home! Fortunately, the delivery man called me and said he would leave the packages on the front porch. He even took a picture of the boxes and sent it to me, which I appreciated. This likely wouldn't not have worked out so well if the boxes were being delivered to an apartment complex. I received my boxes in great shape and nothing was damaged. I read about how some boxes were damaged but, thankfully, mine were not. Then again, I didn't really ship anything that was very fragile. I would recommend that you tape up your boxes A LOT. When you think you have enough tape, add another layer. This review is now way too long but to summarize, if you want to keep costs low and flexible on time of delivery, this service works great. If you want your boxes by a certain time, want to do less follow-up, and have the budget for it then maybe go with another vendor. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I was charged 'additional weight fees' with over 100 pounds. They just charge your credit card whatever they would like to and their customer service is incredibly unhelpful. Do a big favor to yourself and use other options, what they promise you to charge is the half of the fee that you will be paying in total. I was nervous to use busfreighter since I'd certainly never heard of them and Greyhound is known to be sketchy, but I had a great experience! I shipped 5 boxes from San Francisco to Kansas City and they arrived in less than a week, and there was good tracking functionality. The items were not damaged (except one picture frame that I wrapped poorly), and I saved a ton of money!! Will definitely be using them again. read more

Worked even better than advertised. Moved from New York to Portland with 6 boxes totaling around 300 pounds. They picked it up right on time and it was delivered to the Greyhound station in Portland 7 days early. Nothing was broken, not even a scratch. I did pack up everything very very carefully though with lots of extra cardboard and padding and tape. Read the longer review someone else wrote for more tips. read more

Never. They lose things, they are late, they really make it difficult and promise to call you back but never do. I'm out about $270 and it's been 6 months of waiting for the box and 2 months since I've filed. Never again, the low prices are not worth it. read more

Horrible place with horrible customer service. The email confirmation had the wrong hours of operation for the drop off location at the bus station. Because of them I went there and the place was closed. When I reached to chat to CS. She wrote that it was my responsibility to find out what the hours of operation where for that specific location. I have to say that the busfreighter portion of this delivery system is very easy to use. Setting up the boxes for delivery is great. The responsiveness is great. Unfortunately, the pickup for your boxes are totally bogus. Plus, once they have you duped into using their system fo pickup/delivery, they shake their hands off of anything to do with Greyhound that actually does the pick up. They provide only an 1-800 number which doesn't even take you directly to who you need to speak you to confirm that they have you in the system. They also do NOT show up within the allotted window that you chose for pickup. Why bother providing a window for pickup if you allow your drivers to go wherever they please, when they please? They can't even confirm if their drivers have you in their system for pickup or anything. Simply put, don't bother. Update --it's been hours. Busfrieghter won't help and greyhound won't even tell me if my boxes are getting picked up. Yet I've been charged. Do NOT use these guys. I would give a 0 star if I could. The worst customer service I have ever encountered. I sent 2 packages to my client in Indiana. One of them has arrived, but the second one didn't. No one could tell me where the second package is, or direct me in any direction or whatsoever. They couldn't even tell me if it was lost. And one of the staff in Gary Indiana was very rude. I am not sure what to do at this point, except to refund my client, and file a claim. Very unhappy:-( read more

The worst shipping experience ever. I was supposed to drop off the packages at New London, CT bus station on Saturday 9-1 pm. Drove 35 miles to find out it's closed. Apparently they were out of staff and doesn't operate on weekends which was not mentioned in the website. When I called the head office they didn't have any idea it's closed on weekends. Then I called back on Monday and got new shipping labels. At the bus station they said the new labels are expired. Had to call them again to get this issue resolved. read more
