The food was fresh and I asked if the liver and gizzards were hot and the manager gave me a sample of both and stated that if I need them hotter they would drop a batch for me. The food was ok. The rolls were very good but the chicken was just ok. I also felt the fries were very good. The gravy they gave me is white gravy with not much flavor. I have to agree with a fellow review, I don't see why this place has such low ratings. The drive thru line looked intimidating (wrapped around the building to the street) but it moved so fast. We barely spent 5 mins in line. They had two people outside, running and taking orders then had two other people out running the food. It was one of the smoothest drive thrus I have ever been to. As far as the food goes, I have to admit; I was thoroughly impressed. The chicken was hot, seemed fresh. It tasted just like fried chicken would if it was off the bone and not like refrigerated ones. I'll be the first one to admit that they looked really bland but they really weren't. They were super flavorful. The green beans also surprised me because they were flavorful like they had been cooked in broth. I expected beans from a can but these were not it or they know how to season very well. I honestly enjoyed this place more than raising canes, KFC, and Popeyes. The gravy is a little bleh for me, but I'm also not a white gravy type of person. Today was the worst meal we have ever received from this location. It's a Sunday night at 6:30 there was a moderate amount of traffic so it made no sense that our meal was old. Our mashed potatoes tasted absolutely awful someone accidentally poured too much pepper in it and then it tasted like it was made 3 days ago and room temperature. Hello instant mashed potatoes shouldn't taste that old! Our chicken tasted like it was old as well like it was left over from lunch time. It was also cold like it hadn't been sitting under a warmer. Our few times at the counter have been worked well, but it's so much easier and faster to use the drive-through, even when they're busy.
