My mom and I walked in, and the vibes and customer service were amazing.. Ordered four sandwiches, two Midwest and two, Kali Mist. I'm not sure what happened however, there is ONE thin slice of turkey meat, and a CRAP TON, of lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickle and sauce, and an extremely thin sliced piece of bacon. My sandwich is supposed to be a Turkey Sandwich however, it's more so vegetables, with the slice of turkey being an afterthought. Being that each sandwich costs a little over $11, I was highly disappointed... If I wanted a veggie sandwich, I would have ordered one, being that the options were available. I was inspired to recreate two of the sandwiches at home and they were great. The bread I would say is the highlight and difficult to find a replacement when making your own. We walked and were greeted right away by an energetic person at the register! He answered a few a questions for us and we ordered our food. Went to get our drinks and wow the selection was great! Kool-aid they have Kool-aid!! My wife said it could have used more sugar tho lol! We received our nachos and damn they were good! Crispy chips, ton of cheese, jalapeños, onions, olives (eww IMO) with Ranch and Buffalo sauce!! Right after our Sandwiches were served. I got the Acapulco Gold (BBQ Chicken) it was perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken with lots of yummy veggies! My wife got the 5-0 (ALL THE PIG, BABY!!) And she loved it! Lots of tender meat, fresh veggies and lightly toasted bread on both! The restaurant is pretty large it even has a full bar in the front! The area was clean and it was loud and lively! I've never had a bad visit to Cheba Hut. This location is a little smaller than its sister location, but has just as many vibes. The staff were just as cool, the place was clean, and the sub sandwiches were simply fantastic. No notes, just perfection. This time around, my fiancé and I tried the Acapulco Gold without onion and the Apollo 13 without tomato, and just like every other sub we've ordered from Cheba Hut, these were hits. The Acapulco was bursting with fresh ingredients; the crisp veggies and tender chicken tasted so amazing with the barbecue sauce that we were sad we only ordered a 4" sub. We won't make that mistake again. Though it was delicious, we agreed the Apollo 13 was even better. We'd figured that it would be good, just not THAT good. This was probably the best Greek inspired anything I've ever had. They managed to create the PERFECT blend of spices and dressings to absolutely nail that Greek flavor profile. Absolutely fantastic. Regardless of the location, there is zero doubt in my mind that we will be returning to Cheba Hut. I maintain that this is my favorite sub shop and I don't think there's another place that can beat them. If you haven't already, go support this insanely amazing chain. read more

Went here for lunch today. The young man that took care of us when we walked in was awesome, Mark, I believe. I had the Chronic, Pinner size, and my daughter had the chicken, nug size. Amazing! We threw a great munch for sure. I could only finish half my sandwich, and that's not even their biggest size!! You get a great portion for your buck. All staff were friendly and attentive. Ordered a local IPA from the Bar Manager Mario. Super friendly! The sandwich was decently price for the quality. My beer was on tap and going for 6.00. For a fresh, local draft IPA, I'm ok with that. The atmosphere is very chill. Not loud or crazy. But they have a lot of pop culture nostalgia posted everywhere... From Rick and Morty to South Park to Cheeky & Chong. Customer service is top-notch. From the cashier who took my order, to the bar staff, to the food servers that gave me my sandwich. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. I love it when employees seems happy and polite, you can tell that is a good work environment. Location is pretty decent, it's in the corner of a shopping center in Alamo Ranch down the street from a H.E.B. So the parking. Overall, I think this place is amazing. I heard on social media how this place was like a stoner's Quiznos, so of course I had to come scope it out. The options for subs are pretty awesome, and I specifically went with the "Griefo." It was absolutely delicious. I'm so disappointed that I didn't come here before. The jalapeño cream cheese took it to a whole different level. I washed it down with some fruit punch koolaid and some Doritos. The perfect combination when you're flying high. The ambiance was so cool. There was artwork and stickers all over the walls, and they even had a full bar that opened up to the outside. I know everyone likes Jersey Mikes down the street but they are all delulu and need to be at Cheba Hut. One, they have way better ingredients and sandwich combos. Plus the garlic bread is to die for. Always start with some pretzel nuggets to share. They are my kids fave too! Get a pinner (medium) Kali Mist sandwich and wash down with one of the many fabulous beers on tap. Place has a nice vibe and I love their s'mores crispy treats. Love hem over jersey Mike's and subway but they are further out. If I lived closer, I would frequent a couple times a month. Next door to a Stout House and I think you can bring food in there, so I'd grab a sub and walk over for a drink. Although there IS a bar and TVs at Cheba. It's a win/win either way. Ordered delivery through uber eats. Got the single Loaded Not'chos which were pretty good but would be so much better if you get it at the store. Because of the way these are prepared the chips get soggy, but I don't know how else they could be packaged. Will order those again if I ever dine in. I got the 4 inch La Canna (Italian) sandwich on garlic herb bread with added banana peppers. It was good, fresh and the perfect size, not my favorite ever but I think this place is worth coming back to try more. I have never heard of this place until a friend wanted to take me out for a birthday lunch. I told her to pick since I don't go out much. She picked this spot and we met on Sunday 3/24/24. Upon pulling in, they have a generous outside seating area. Walking in you are greeted by the person at the counter directly ahead and to the left in the corner is a full bar complete with bartender. Behind the bar and beside it ample seating ranging from booths, to high tables to regular tables and chairs. All of their sandwiches are displayed on the wall and the girl at the counter upon hearing it was our first time had questions and recommendations. I got the Kali Mist, it was delicious. I don't know what kind of dressing was on it or the stuff that kinda looked like parmesan but I think I could eat it as a stand alone. They had chips, lots of teas/drinks as well as rice krispy treats. SO they know where to bring your food, you take a table marker such as the doors, or Bill and Ted's excellent adventure, Tom Petty and the hearbreakers! Music was good and they have big screen tvs as well. I wish there was one on my side of town, I would definitely go again even for take out. Helpful cashier who didn't rush us as it was our first time and the menu board was large with lots of choices (sandwiches and toppings). Otherwise your typical fast casual set up. First time here. I ordered online. It said it would be ready in 19 minutes. I got there a little earlier and it was just about done. I ordered the tuna 8 inch. I asked for the dressing on the side. The sandwich was hearty. I could only eat half. I had the other half the next day. I ate it as a salad the next day since the bread did get soggy. They sell other items too. Their French onion soup is good. The staff is friendly. They have inside and outside seating. It is not dog friendly. Parking is tough. It is shared with the other businesses. First time trying tonight, I picked up dinner for my boyfriend and I. First thoughts walking in- this place really sticks to their theme. Love the atmosphere and how committed everyone is to the lifestyle (haha) I got the canna (Italian) on garlic herb, and my boyfriend got the pacific blue (tuna) on garlic herb. His tuna sub was the best I've had from a restaurant, mine on the other hand was a little dry. I like my Italian dripping with oil and vinegar, maybe I should have asked for extra dressing. We also got a Rice Krispie to share, which was delicious. Nice and soft, not like the ones you get at the grocery store. The service was great! The guy taking our order was very informative, as was the guy bagging the order. He kept me updated on when it would be ready which was nice. I was so looking forward to my trip here. Went with friend. First sat at the bar to take advantage of the happy hour discount on some munchie. I got the pretzel nuggets. They were great...lots of flavor but very soft not a pretzel crunch taste. The photo was taken after we had eaten a bunch. Based on that I think the garlic cheese bread will be out of this world. Unfortunately we didn't order any this time. I got the A-K47. Which is a version of French Dip. I was disappointed especially since the pretzel had raised expectations. The dip was steaming hot but the sandwich was confusing. The cheese was melted but the sandwich was not hot, the onions were crisp like just sliced and mushrooms were very dry. Lots and lots of cheese...very generous with the cheese. I really didn't taste the shake but it might have been lost in the garlic bread. Shows in the closeup of cheese. The roast beef was room temp or colder. I pulled out and tasted just the beef and I didn't care for it. To me had that deli preserved taste. My friend liked the taste of the beef but agreed the sandwich was cold and confusing. She would order another sandwich containing the roast beef I would not. Difficult tastes. Wish we had tried the bowl of balls as they looked interesting. So two nos on the AK-47. Both taste and temperature from me and mostly temperature from my friend. Two 5 stars on the pretzel nuggets. 5 stars on the friendly people I have vegetarian friends who rave about this place. I'm trying cold sandwiches next time maybe La Canna. A friend wanted to try this restaurant out, and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was very friendly, it was a full house. I wouldn't say it's family friendly because there's weed/ marijuana pics everywhere- on the walls, on the drink dispenser, on a video playing -even on the menu - which I thought was funny! They've got a good array of sandwiches, the white widow, and Apollo sandwiches. I would recommend putting on avocado either one, they were very very tasty. One of my favorite things was that they have a Kool-Aid machine with red, purple, and blue to choose from. And they also had some great tasting different teas -I don't remember the brand. They have a sandwich called 5-0 that includes the word pig, so, if you're 5-0, you might be offended, BUT they offer five oh discount and military discount.
