Burger boy never disappoints. Always yummy and fresh! Service is always excellent. Whenever I want a burger fast, they are my go to!

Nail in the coffin folks - they charged me more money for less food and were not kind about it. Definitely gave off the energy of "we don't want to deal with you." It's unfortunate because there are many good employees at this location but to say "oh they didn't charge you for it" when referring to an online app order is ridiculous and lacking understanding. I paid more for the same burger and a large loaded fry than I did less than a month ago for the same thing but with an XL loaded fry; which is well over twice the size. I don't see any familiar faces in the store unfortunately, and I was met with a dismissive interaction. I'm not one to generally spend this much time on what is considered fast food, but I thought burger boy was "our" San Antonio fast food. And folks trust me, I guarantee I have eaten here an egregious enough amount to give a negative review, even though it pains me to do so. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We moved to this area from another part of town. We lived near a different burger boy location and would go nearly once a week and never had an issue. It's not my favorite burger in town but my young boys like it and it's an easy drive thru meal so I usually just grab something for them. I think I've been a total of 6 times to this location and only 2 times have they actually gotten the order correct. I almost always get the same thing, one burger combo plain and dry and one single burger plain and dry. Today was the final straw. The combo had all the usual toppings and they didn't even give us the solo burger, which unfortunately is not the first time that's happened. The other location never had an issue with our extremely simple order. At the very least make sure to check your order before you leave the drive thru. read more

For starters the guy taking the order near the drive-thru is not polite. Then we has to sit at the window for well over 5 minutes. They spilled soda on the exterior of drinks--didn't wipe it. The burger was average at best and a little over salted. The fries were very fresh and hot, best item. Overall will not be back with so many other options. read more

I feel the quality control is thrown out the window. This is the second time in a month our order was completely wrong. We were order 498 on Saturday night in the drive thru and once we hit the window the gentlemen read our order to us which is what we asked for, but once we got home not what we purchased. Working man dbl cheese , grilled onions, bacon , lettuce, mayo . This sandwich gave us tomato pickles. No onion, no dbl cheese may or bacon. The second was a working man dbl cheese, bacon dry. The same didn't have dbl cheese or back and was loaded in ketchup small fry and we ordered large , plus we order an extra large fry every time, which didn't show up either. Their service has always been great. I get 3 working man and one junior grilled cheese. I love the grilled cheese but I wish there was butter and if there was butter I wish I could taste it. The cheese is good. Instead if buying different type of bread for the grilled cheese they turn their burger buns inside out. Their sweet tea is great. Fries are good. I saw on IG that Burger Boy had a s'more shake. I had only been to the location on St. Mary's street, but I wanted to find something a little closer to me. The nearest one was still 20 minutes away, off 1604, so I grabbed my dog and we went to that location. The drive-thru line wasn't bad at all. I ordered the Bates combo with a sweet tea. They asked if I wanted to add cheese and other toppings, and if I wanted to remove anything. I ordered the shake, and then I got a Jr burger, plain and dry, for my pup. The whole order cost about $20 and change, so not too bad. I have no complaints about the drive-thru experience. It all went pretty smoothly and the employee was very pleasant. I parked in the lot to snack on the fries and share them with my dog - fries are best fresh and these were straight out of the fryer. Crinkle fries are my second favorite, after curly fries, mainly because if done right, they yield a nice crispy snap and a rewarding fluffy interior, and these had just that. The burger was good, it was just as I ordered. The patty was a bit thin for my liking but overall, it was a good meal. My dog also loved his burger. The s'mores shake was the highlight of my meal. How'd they keep the graham cracker pieces so crunchy in a shake? They also used chocolate syrup instead of chocolate shake/ice cream and that was also a huge plus. (I don't like chocolate ice cream but I like vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. It's a texture thing.) I'm pretty happy I decided to make that little drive. This place has always been great since the first location on Saint Mary's. It can be a little greasy at times but the fries are always fresh, the orange freeze is always amazing and not watered down. The customer service is quick and reliable, respectful. The place is always popular and with many people inside, the restaurant is not loud and very roomy. 3.5 Picked up some Burger Boy on my way out of town. I don't know what the interior is like as I went through the drive thru. The menu was nice and bright and easy to read. I ordered the Burger Boy Burger and a regular order of the Crinkle Cut Fries. The burger comes with mustard, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles. The person who took my order was pretty good. They took my order and then repeated it back to me for accuracy. When I got to the window to pay they repeated my order again which I appreciate. Thankfully my order was correct. The burger was okay. I could taste everything but the bread was a little too thick for this patty. The fries were also okay. They were a combination of crispy and soft. They didn't have a lot of salt but just enough for a little bit of flavor. Overall it was an okay experience. read more

We opted for the banana chocolate and the chocolate and the chocolate coconut. They were just what we needed and hit the spot. On a side note. If you opt for the double be aware they are bigger than you think. Don't let the (cheap) price fool you into thinking they are just some small mediocre patties on a bun. I thought I would give Burger Boy another chance. They failed. I did drive thru. Placed the order, he repeated it. Got it right. I was in a hurry and didn't check the bag. Mea Culpa! Got home and the order was for someone else. I called and complained. I will get my money back when I go there with my card! The reason I didn't check was because not only was I in a hurry but he read my order to me and it was correct and so was the receipt just not the order! This isn't rocket science it can't be that hard and it wasn't busy no one behind me or in front of me!!! The order I got was actually placed inside! They were waiting!!!!
