Cheddars has really stepped it up since my last review of them. They have fixed their chicken fried steak problem with the coating. Now most of my reviews are of takeout since it's hard for me to get in the restaurant Cheddars does have space for wheelchairs and are good when I go in but I do pick-up. You might see another review from me not happy about my steak meal but that's not cheddars. Right now it's been right on a 98% rate. They missed a sauce once in the last few times. But usually I will get what I ordered how I ordered it with what is supposed to come with. I like they change the menu around some. Bringing in items for a while then changing them. Nice variety of food and sides at slightly better prices than some other close restaurants. I think you will enjoy it. read more

Very obviously one of my favorite restaurants in this area. We come here often for lunch and dinner and the service is always good and fast. The only thing I wish they could improve is there there have been a few times when they are out of certain foods/ side dishes. Other than that, I really enjoying eating here! read more

My friends and I were looking for some food to grab for an early dinner near where we were staying, and we came across a Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. Having never actually gone to one but having seen them at home previously, we thought we'd give it a try, especially with attractive dishes and good prices. We stopped by around 5 PM for an early dinner on a Monday evening. The service itself was very good as was the food, though the cleanliness of the restaurant, the seating area, the silverware, and condiments (including salt and pepper) were abysmal. I would have rated the service and food at 4 but the cleanliness at a 1; I gave an average rating of 3. While I can see some of what we experienced being a reason to walk away, we didn't notice have of this until after we ordered food, and again, the service and food itself were very good. We had no wait to be seated nor did we need a reservation. There is a waitlist feature on their website (https://www.cheddars.com/wait-list). Our server was very helpful and checked on us regularly. Early after we ordered food, a plate of complimentary buttered croissants arrived which were delicious! I think that may have been the highlight of my meal. As the food is marketed as "homestyle comfort food," I decided to order the top sirloin steak (8 oz) with two side choices. I chose broccoli for one side and paid for the second side to be upgraded to a side Caesar salad. The broccoli was well-seasoned, the steak was juicy and tasty, and the salad was as good as any side Caesar. Did I mention I loved the buttered croissants!? We unfortunately had one cleanliness issue after another. There was a dirty fork until my seat. The salt and pepper shakers were covered with barbecue sauce (which we wiped off the tops) but we didn't bother cleaning the sides. We were given clean silverware wrapped in a napkin but one of our silverware sets had crusty dirt leftover from other diners. We asked for a replacement of that. We get that these things happen but this seemed like a consistent issue at this restaurant. Temperatures are dropping so decided to go for a chicken pot pie. The server was very friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly. I ordered coleslaw for my side to accompany my chicken pot pie. My family and I attended for my grandma's birthday party. It was also our waitress's birthday which we thought was cool at the time. I made my grandma a CUSTOM cake and we decided to ask them to place it into the fridge in the back. The MANAGER took from us and said "yes of course!" We ate our food, everything was fine. It came time to ask for the cake, and we were told that either an employee or the waitress ASSUMED it was for her. We were then informed that the employees took it upon themselves to cut and eat MY GRANDMA's cake. I will not be returning to this location. read more

Went there August 2 2025. Thirty five minute wait for a thinly sliced T bone steak and an undercooked salmon after being told to cook it well done. Took another 30 minute waiting for the salmon so my wife at this point took it to go. They didn't even have the class to cook a new salmon steak, they had my wife slide the undercooked piece of salmon into another plate and took it back. I've been to this place before. Didn't care for it then and only came today because for some reason my wife thinks it's a good place to eat. I felt sorry for the waitress so I still gave her my 20% tip. Manager, if you can call it that, gave us a 10% discount for this disaster of a lunch. When your service is so bad that you can't handle lunch for two people in a half full so called restaurant you need to close and retrain. This was a horrible experience. I told my wife I'm definitely never spending my money at this place ever again. Place is located in a seedy location which is another reason I don't care for it. Just avoid. We dropped by for some lunch yesterday. I ordered the ribeye steak, med well. Upon arrival I was impressed with the size of the steak but as I got a closer look, it looked susp. As I cut into it, blood ran all over the plate. I thought maybe it was just the side of the steak, I cut again & more blood ran. Even my napkin was soaked after I placed my utensils on it. I sent it back, not something I usually do. But I had to as the steak taste of pure blood, gross. The waitress took the steak back, so I ate the sides. I was expecting a steak with new sides, she brought the steak back, charred this time. I wasn't going to complain as my lunch was ruined & wasn't in the mood to eat any longer. I thought maybe the manager would approach my table & offer some type of apology or a discount, nope. I paid the full price & left. Did they make it right? Yes. Did they ruin my meal? Yes! We were just here last Friday to celebrate my late Father's birthday and we had a great time. Food, cleanliness and especially service was on-point. Hayder our server rocks! He was very attentive and made sure he checked-up on us multiple times if we needed anything else. He was very attentive, warm and professional. We always wanted to go back here and we were pleased we did. The serving is huge and we left fully satisfied and still we have food leftover to go. Yesterday, we treated my Aunt for Mother's Day early dinner together with my uncle. We're glad she enjoyed her meal, huge portion of fall-off the bones baby back ribs, with still extra portion to go. My uncle for the first time finished up all his delicious 14-oz ribeye steak. We all left happy, satisfied with leftovers to go. Last Sunday Selena our server was awesome, although after paying using Ziosk on our table, we didn't see her at all. I tried to call her using Ziosk but we waited and waited until the machine stop its blinking light. We got the attention of the equally awesome server of the tables next to ours, we didn't get her name though. She was very accommodating and attentive, she actually helped us out with our request for to-go cups of soda and strawberry lemonade. Not sure what happened to Selena but this young lady completed our day. We would be definitely be visiting more often in the future. We didn't take pictures of Friday and Sunday visits to post here but it surely was a very pleasant dining experience. They should be prepared for a big crowd especially on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered two meat loaf plates to go Tuesday and much to my disappointment there was no gravy on either plate, one meat loaf was a good portion size what about 1/2 thick? The other plate was was 1/4 or thinner...the baked potato was undercooked and carrots were also. Very dissatisfied. I should have checked the plates which I rarely do. read more

My fiancée and I arrived on December 26th and waited for five minutes at the hostess stand while the two attendants there ignored us and helped the person who came in after us. Finally, we were seated, and our server arrived to take our drinks and appetizers. He brought out my fiancée's drink, but it took a while before he got mine. We also never received utensils. I ordered the country fried chicken with brown gravy, as I don't eat pork, and they make their cream gravy with pork. When the plate arrived, it had brown gravy on the mashed potatoes but the chicken was drenched in cream gravy. I waited for the server to return, which took about 10 minutes. He apologized and took the plate back. Three minutes later, he came back and informed me that they had made me a new chicken. Upon taking a look at the plate, I realized it was the same chicken. They had scraped off some of the country gravy and poured brown gravy on top, but there was still country gravy underneath. I had to wait for the server to come back again, and he tried to deceive me by claiming that he had witnessed them making a new chicken. I flipped the chicken over and pointed out that it was still covered in country gravy, to which he had nothing to say. He brought the manager, but the manager proved to be useless. Normally I wouldn't care. But again I don't eat pork. So if you don't eat pork or have some allergy. I wouldn't risk sending anything back. They'll try to cover it up and pass it by you. Just show them the issue and ask them to take it off the bill. They don't care about you. read more

I came to this location on a Sunday evening for dinner with my family. We were greeted by a friendly host who took us to our booth where we were greeted by our waiter within a couple of minutes. Our drink and food order were taken at the same time since we all knew what we were there for. I ordered a chicken pot pie and my kids had a grilled cheese. Our food came out fairly quickly. My kids said their meals were delicious however I didn't have the same experience with the chicken pot pie. While the top was perfectly cooked the inside tasted very over cooked. The veggies were especially mushy. I've ordered this item previously in the past but have not had this experience before. I'm not sure if it was just an off day. Came here on April 14 at 7:30 pm. I was seated immediately for a party of 4. Got a booth and let me tell you I was excited to try this place. My excitement turned into disappointment quickly. The croissant bread that was served was okay. Nothing special about it. It was heavy on the glaze. Our table ordered 4 pain killers - the drink doesn't live up to the name. I hated the booths...they move every time the person behind moved. Just imagine eating and your back booth rest moves drastically because someone is getting up. The food was nothing special. Nothing I couldn't get elsewhere. The service was just horrible. The server scuffed when asked to remove croutons from my friend's salad. Apparently this restaurant doesn't teach what gluten free means. Not only was there an issue with explaining how gluten impacts individuals, I had to ask 2x for my salad dressing. I received my salad but not my dressing. My other friend received her mashed potatoes with no gravy...had to again. I got up and looked around and saw the tables were not filled up. So I was confused on why our server couldn't remember our orders or why her service was below average. Then the manager came over to explain to us when we were half way finished with our food to let us know the baked potato ordered is out. And the way he explained it, everything made sense. I honestly don't know why I (we) don't come here more often! When you're looking for some good comfort food, Cheddar's does not disappoint. I had the crispy chicken tenders and it was so delicious! Just Add the broccoli mac n cheese, some fries, a big appetite--yum! My hubby had the grilled chicken and something else. I honestly didn't look up much from my plate, but I didn't hear him complaining. This is probably why I didn't get pictures. In addition to that, we had a couple of adult beverages that didn't cost us a small fortune. So I was really pleased. Oh, and the service--exceptional.
