The sessions became less and less frequent. In May 2025, he canceled our session. And we heard nothing from him until we called him and he told us he was in rehab. We paid Mr. Winkler $5500.00 in full in January and have received approx 5 training sessions of 30 -40 minutes at best. Travel is an issue as we live in mountains which he was aware of when we signed contract. I strongly caution anyone to not use this trainer. We are out $5500 plus $400.00 for a kennel that we bought from him which was too small for our dogs. We got one puppy trained at another facility for an additional $2500.00 and no refund from Elite K-9 Very poor business Operation.

However, when we picked him up after the 3 weeks we were SO pleasantly surprised by the improvement in his behavior & how well he was walking on leash, understanding the heel, sit & stay commands! It was obvious how comfortable our puppy was with his trainer (Kyle) such a happy pup!! I have already booked Piper in through the rest of the year. I am getting another standard poodle and was told how they introduce puppies to make them comfortable with them. Sounds great, I would have never thought of it, they really care.
