They did not everything underneath the self leveling. They did not even sweep before putting down self leveling or the mortar before the tile. And they leveled the living room, but not the bathroom and I had waterproofing put down which, for some reason left spots on the floor that were high and low, and none of those were taken off before tile was put down and so my tile has high and low spots. And then I asked for epoxy grout and they put in urethane grout. I asked why he said he figured I just didn't know what I was talking about with the epoxy. Yet Did didn't give me any of my money back for him doing it wrong. Also left a ton of haze over the tiles. Which is a pain in the ass to get off a month later. And when the crew did the caulking on top of the baseboards, it was at least an inch of the wall, which looks funny when you have a dark wall and then white caulking smeared . There was many other things wrong, but I don't feel like putting it all It would take too long But When I had concerns, the owner did come in and try to fix part of them himself, but in the end it wasn't done right anyway by his crew. And I would not use them again.

We discussed in detail the shape of the pad we wanted and how we wanted it to match our pool surrounding with the acrylic overcoating. Ben acted like it was an easy request and didn't voice or show any concern. He then gave us a quote of $800 - $1000 verbally. Said they would call to schedule his concrete guy to come out over the weekend or first of the next week. Never heard from him until 4 days later, when I received the quote which was several hundred dollars higher than the quote range he gave verbally in our yard. Against my better judgment, I trusted him and approved the portion of the quote I wanted to move forward with. I asked when the approved portion of the job could be done. I was told he needed to check with his concrete guy. A week later, on Nov 3, I finally get a text at 7:22pm stating they will be out the next morning at 9am. I wasn't asked if this time worked for me, which would have been appropriate based on how quickly they were coming. When Ben arrived at my house with the concrete guy, his demeanor was completely different. He would hardly look me in the eye, was rude, condescending and smirking. He was acting as if we hadn't even discussed the details of the project. We absolutely did so during his first visit when he was friendly, courteous and kind. The whole encounter was very strange based on the complete change in his attitude, behavior and demeaning treatment. In addition, Ben also acted as if our request for a rounded 7' X 5' pad was a much more difficult project than he had first indicated. The following day -November 4th, I received a text with and updated estimate. This estimate was over THREE TIMES the initial quote. I was shocked. We went from a quote range of $800-$1000 to a new price of over $3,000. I responded to him sharing my shock regarding this new quote. His response was completely inadequate and unacceptable. Luckily I had downloaded both quotes because as soon as I called him out on his dishonesty, he went into his system and deleted the quotes. Talk about red flag! He was knowingly trying to rip us off after initialy seeming so honest. He then went on to blame his concrete guy as if he himself had no idea how much concrete cost. Are you kidding me? What kind of business is this? CONCRETE is part of your business name and you're telling me you have no idea how much the concrete will cost for a small 7 X 5 pad? Wow. Shady. Be aware that your first quote from llustrious Concrete will be meaningless. Instead, save yourself from dealing with this guy and don't get a quote at all.
