I decided to try out this nail salon when my normal guy went on vacation. I have had the same nail guy for 11 years. 9 years when he was at a Manteca shop and the last 2 years he went to a stockton shop. This was an emergency I couldn't wait 2 weeks for him to come back so Tina at Busy Bee was avaliable at first I was super nervous to have someone else do my nails but Tina was awesome. I have been here 4 times now because she is that good: *She made sure she was doing the style I requested *she was super cool with doing LONG nails nails *she is not afraid to try new techniques *she has not once hesitated about my color choices. (I love black acrylic, but it makes a big mess some places won't do it or say black nails will be ugly) *she is not hesitant on using flat matt top coat *she has fit me in last minute for a quick wax *she has been able to fit my grandma in for a pedicure when I brought her in *the shop is cute *lots of colors, stickers designs, foil, jewels, geode style, and tons more. I really do appreciate Busy Bee for being so nice, for making sure I get what I requested, and for having competitive $$ prices. My nail guy is ready to retire in a few months so I am very happy I found such an awesome replacement for him. My sister and I decided on this place for full set manicures. We were quickly seated and the nail tech was wonderful. My sister got a more intricate design which ended up beautiful. I got no designs so there wasn't alot of room for error, they were perfect. & their pricing is reasonable! The reason for my three star rating is they do not take card and have an ATM machine INSIDE for you to take cash out to pay. I didn't appreciate that AT ALL. I'm not 100% sure why many of these nail places hate taking card. I really didn't want to pull cash out when I can just pay with card. I mentioned this to the nail tech and she responded that it was better for her if I can pay with cash. I didn't like her response. I didn't mind paying a fee associated with the card vs me taking cash out from an ATM that wasn't associated with my bank. When I did a soak off I noticed the nail tech was heavy handed and left "rings of fire" on my nails. But other than that her work was great, they stayed on for about 2-3 weeks. read more

Made an appointment the day before to get a fill. I was able go get in at the time I request and when I arrived, I didn't have to wait. I don't mind waiting 5 minutes but when it goes beyond that, I get beyond annoyed. That's the point of having an appointment! I showed Tina an inspo pic and she nailed it! Pun intended. And the best part, she did my fill with 2 replacement nails in 30 minutes!! I'd been going to my former salon for years but they always make my husband and daughter wait and last time didn't even do my daughters toes and helped two other Pell who came in after and they had appointments!! I love coming here! I always have a pretty quick appointment 30 minutes - 1 hr for my nails which is convenient and I always leave super satisfied. I always like to make sure I have an appointment cause I don't like to typically wait or come in without knowing who will be doing my nails. And I felt like I was just pushed through so fast in order to get other people serviced. My pedicure was so quick. The person next to me receiving the pedicure had already started, and mine was already finished while hers was still going on. And I noticed that the girl giving me the pedicure and also my manicure was pushed to serve someone else who came after I, though I had an appointment . The girl who serviced me told me your nails will dry in 10 minutes and that was it didn't put a heat lamp nothing under it. While the individual next to me was getting the full service. And as far as my manicure, she actually put the clear nail polish while she was doing the pedicure. All of it was so quick it was as if they needed to get me out of there so they can service other people. I want to start off by saying my nail tech was VERY kind and nice. She's one of the sweetest nail techs I've met honestly. This is the only reason I took my L and kindly paid for my service without putting up a fight for the terrible outcome. Unfortunately, I'm very unhappy with the results of my nails. I came in with dark green nails and requested a fill and new color. She didn't drill off all the old green, nor clip off the old lifting acrylic and applied new acrylic on top. I did bring it to her attention and asked if the old color left on my nails would show through the new color? ( knowing I was getting a light milky pink color) She continued to work over the green. She then was getting ready to apply the new color and I asked her again about the green showing through and she then started drilling through the new acrylic...trying to get the old green color underneath. Over all the work was sloppy, had no shape, and giving dollar tree press-on. All the techs were running around rushing services, it was very chaotic/overwhelming. Side note, not sure why all the photos say nails by TINA and doesn't show any other nail techs works. I did call to book with "Tina" but was told she is on vacation. My friend and I took our chance at a new salon because the photo's looked great. But both her nails and my mine were no where near worth 45$ Sorry NEVER again. read more

This is just my constructive feedback on the service and overall feel/vibe. I was in a pinch and needed a local spot for a pedicure. I came in as a walk-in on a Tuesday morning after seeing some decent reviews online. I opted for the basic pedicure (Option 1), which included a 5-minute massage -- or so it claimed. I actually timed it, and the massage lasted exactly 3 minutes and 50 seconds. Yes, I timed it, because I always end up feeling shortchanged on that part. Weirdly enough during the massage, only my right foot was massaged -- my left foot wasn't touched at all (bummer) oh, and let's be honest, the massage is half the reason we get pedicures in the first place (aside from the final look, of course). The overall pedicure felt subpar (maybe that's what I get for selecting that option) I was in and out in about 35 minutes, and it seemed like each step got about 30 seconds of attention, beside the clipping of cuticles. I typically get French pedicures, and as I understand it's not always easy to get perfectly straight lines, especially with a French tip. But when I looked at the finished result, the polish wasn't very consistent -- some of the lines were noticeably thinner in the middle than others, and the overall shape just didn't feel very consistent. When the technician asked if everything looked okay, only one toe had been finished, and that one actually looked fine. It wasn't until all the toes were done that I could see the inconsistencies, and at that point, it felt too late to say anything. What's done is done, I thought "it's doable" but definitely don't care to show them off much. The salon itself felt a bit unclean and disorganized, the seat controllers were broken and missing buttons and the bathrooms were definitely not well-maintained-- no seat covers and the mop bucket was left inside the bathroom with a bunch of stuff all over the sink. When you're paying for a service like this, part of the experience is being in a clean, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere. That's half the enjoyment -- not just the service itself, but the environment you're in while receiving it especially with the word spa attached. When it came time to pay, I was told there was a $2 card fee, which the staff member entered directly into the total without showing a breakdown. That felt a little off -- most places I've been show the card reader that you click yes or no to the extra charge. I could have not understood that clearly. All in all, this place might be okay if you're truly in a pinch, but based on my experience, I wouldn't return as a walk in for a pedicure. I'll keep on looking. read more

I've been putting off finding a place in town for my mani/pedis cause break ups are hard. I'm SUPER picky about my nails and toes so it was hard to leave my lady. She was used to my high maintenance-ness. It's much more convenient to get my maintenance done in town on my day off. Finally pulled the trigger and tried Busy Bee, and will be coming back for sure!! Clean, detail oriented, and quick. My nails get thin real quick when the gel is filed off, so that's my only concern. We'll see how they hold up without fully soaking them off. The BEST nail salon I've been to. Please understand when I say that I'm incredibly picky when it comes to my nails. I don't get them done very often for this very reason. Many times, people rush and ruin my cuticles and it is a painful process-- but Tina changed this! She is the most talented nail tech I've ever met. She made sure my nails were the right shape, color and length I wanted by always checking in with me. Most times I show a nail tech a picture and they try to get me out of their chair as soon as possible. Tina made sure I LOVED them and she was so quick, nice, and truly a master at her craft. My cuticles have never felt better! I'm used to techs shredding my cuticles with a drill bit but this never happened here. Sad I was traveling from Seattle and paid 200 for my tails and nails now they did handle and get my ingrowns but the lack of utensil cleaning and disinfectant was clear , when I arrived they were working on a lady and her mom and had a dispute I tried to keep a positive attitude but when it came down to the nails everything went bad the amount of acrylic, the cuticle flooding, the use of bone safety drill tips near cuticles and how she mainly failed with hand file which hurts when they aren't paying attention just ripping the hand file back and forth. I don't know what to say, except to say that they are exceptional. Tina is a lifesaver. Going into the nail salon. Tina joyfully said hello and asked if I was the one who called five minutes ago. When I sat down in her chair, there were two other ladies in the pedicure chairs and they were funny and boisterous. After laughing, and having a great time we exchanged numbers and became friends. Not too many times can I say that that has happened at a nail salon. Tina has been there for only three months, but looks like she has been there for years. I decided to call and book an appointment for my mom and I for Mani's and pedis based off the reviews and photos of the work. We got seated pretty quickly and my pedicure began and my mom didn't begin getting service until I was halfway through with mine. I got the signature pedicure with gel polish. I let the guy know I had builder gel on each of my big toes and he told me it was $5 extra for a fill which is no problem. The fill looked fine with no color on it. He barely did any cuticle care, did not clean under my nails, and left some dead skin surrounding my toes. There was no cuticle remover solution used, no solution was used with the pumice stone. Whatever mask was applied to my legs was applied so unevenly there was no point in having it. When I tried to pick a color they told me the cat eye was an additional $10 so I just went with a regular gel color. Once the color was applied I could see the builder gel fill he did was lumpy and uneven at the base/cuticle line of my nail. I let him know and he took out a buffer to try and fix it. Issue was not fixed but I was already over it. He set a timer for the massage and did a 7 min massage. Not a great one honestly. A lot of alcohol was sprayed on my toes and no lotion was used. I left with my feet very dry and some dead skin lingering. There was also so many flies in their salon and nothing looked sterile besides the metal equipment. All buffers and files are shared. While my mom was waiting to get her manicure two sets of women came in complaining about their nails and how bad they were. There was a lady who worked there who was super sweet and willing to fix all the nails that were bad but that's only one or two people who are good at nails in the establishment. I would not recommend this establishment. read more
