So it was time to break open the check book once again. Went out and got the usual three quotes. Tito's gave me the best estimate by a mile. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after seeing all of his five-star reviews and an impressive portfolio that had everything from condos to mansions, I went ahead and signed the agreement. Tito's two-man crew of Roberto and Dmitri did a superb job and exceeded my expectations. They were very meticulous and careful with their work. First, they sanded rough spots in the wood trim and chipped away at stucco that needed some smoothing out. That took about a day and a half. And then they taped everything up securely and carefully removed all light fixtures, etc. Nothing seemed half assed at all. Tito works with Sherman Williams paints, and it took me a while to figure out what color combinations would work. It took eight sample cans/swatches, but it was worth it. Roberto was nice enough to paint small samples on the wood siding and stucco to help me decide. The job took about five days in total. Everything was put back into place and the crew did an excellent job with cleanup. Tito's business offers top-shelf painting, and I would definitely recommend them.

One of the reasons we chose him was his excellent communication style and it was great to be in contact with the exact person who was doing the repairs rather than an estimator. Our upstairs neighbor had faulty appliances that wrecked our unit's (which was below) bathroom and closet with water damage. You can just tell when someone knows what they're doing; he exuded confidence and talked as someone who could do this in his sleep. It was obvious he had a lot of experience, he even talked about working with the roofer to pre-paint beams that would be more difficult to paint once they were in place. As it turned out the roofer was willing to paint the beams and Joe brought the appropriate paint. He said his guys would start on Friday and be done by the following Wednesday or Thursday. They showed up on Friday and got to work, then came on Saturday as well and had it all done by Tuesday. I was planning on getting a new garage door and front security door, purely for aesthetic reasons, but Joe was able to paint them and make them look brand new.
