We ordered some meat from them for our cook out on Sunday for the 4th. My neighbor decided to get ribs and burgers and have us over to eat before the fireworks. It's not what I expected. I thought it was a sit down and dine place but it isn't. It's more like a Carry out. The sides all looked dried out and the meat didn't appear enticing at all so we ended up not eating at all. We bought some meat rub from the store so we at least made a purchase. read more

Wonderful selections and friendly helpful staff. I've gotten the large chicken pot pie for supper one rainy night and it was delicious. I forgot to get instructions before I left the store so I called back when I got home and she told me what to do without even taking a second to think. The second time, I bought the Italian meat loaves and when I was ordering them I remembered to ask the best way to cook them and she told me exactly what to do also. I dont care where you live or how long it takes to get here, but youre going to come, and youre going to bring money. In the back of the shop, in a case on the right hand side is a beef tenderloin. Yes, its $29/lb but trust me on this. Buy what you can afford, bring it home and let it rest at room temperature for an hour. Season it with salt and pepper, and then slather it in a mixture of softened butter and stone ground mustard. After 40 minutes in a 350 degree oven (and 15 min to rest afterward), take a nice sharp knife and cut yourself a piece. Let this dreamy, silken piece melt in your mouth as the angels weep for you since they know you will never eat anything as marvelous ever again for as long as you live. Well, at least until you make the trip back over there for more beef tenderloin. It is that good. I wish I was kidding. read more

Went in when the drive thru line at a few fast food joints was long. A sign said lunch specials were meat loaf and chili dogs with no prices. I opted for meat loaf and they were sold out. So I went with the chili dogs. Bad move. They kept the slim rubbery hot dogs in a plastic container (obviously cooked hours before) and who knows where the chili came from. It was definitely out of a can. But I was starving and had to get back to work so I ate em. The rest of the day you could hear my stomach rumble. I got so sick I thought I would die. The "special " was two terrible slim chili dogs for $8.99. $8.99!!!!!! Are you kidding? A small bag of chips and a can Arizona iced tea (which was imprinted with a .99 price but sold for $1.99) rounded out my "special" at a whopping $12.70. I should have gone to Thornton's. Better prices and better food. read more

Great ready made goods and sandwiches, but you have to get their fresh steaks, bourbon marinated salmon (amazing) and other fresh meats. Nice spot, has potential. I've been in there twice and both times the lady was rude. Took a bite of a deviled egg and it tasted weird. Looked at the expiration and they were like four days expired. The guy working the grill was nice. I recommend skipping this place, totally over rated. read more

Came in for multiple reasons and left a happy camper. I'm akward looking for a good source for beef and poultry bones for my bone broth and have found a great one here. The customer service provided went above and beyond. I look forward to coming back. They offer multiple items like local fresh eggs, pies and different cuts of meats... I decided to get a burger for my boy and I and was thoroughly impressed. I got the bison with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and bbq sauce and it was the best burger I've had in quite a while. My boy had the bacon cheddar burger and he was also impressed. I love to find a good hole in the wall burger place that supports local merchants... I'll be back for sure. read more

This place had a lot of prepared meals that looked good and smelled like they smoke meat onsite. That all looked good so I gave them 3 stars. I however got a sandwich at the deli after a hike. It was literally just lunch meat and cheese on plain bread. I could get a better sandwich at the Kroger deli. They have zero quality sandwich fixings for a good deli sandwich. I sorta fall madly in love with ANY joint that has a grill goin' in the parking lot first thing in the morning. AWESOME staff, super friendly and helpful, really nice people who are happy to see you come in. They have a great meat selection and various deli items, sauces, some condiments and brines. Fantastic pulled pork sandwiches to go, huge and cheap, they also do burgers on the grill. I only wish they carried Blue Dog bread and some other dinner type items, it would be the perfect one stop shop for grabbing meat to grill at home. read more

Nope. The meats are great, the sandwiches off the grill are also good. The woman behind the counter exhibits an awful attitude. I've been going for years and have never seen her smile or be friendly. Yesterday I decided, no more. I will no longer spend my money at a place where the service person acts like its a tedious chore and interruption of her day to sell me something. I'm from Kansas City (well known for BBQ). When someone suggests trying BBQ anywhere else, I tend to zone out. We happened to be at a school function where this was an option. My adventurous husband decided to give it a try. "Hands down this is legit" he says. So I tried it too. Amazing flavor! Whoever smokes the meat is an expert. We love the pulled pork and brisket. I make KC pit beans and add their meat to it as well. So yummy! It's what everyone asks me to bring to their BBQ's. We love Butcher's Best Meats. Thank you for what you do. He recently started selling Susan's Bourbon Balls and they're the best I've ever eaten! (I like to think of myself as a bourbon ball connoisseur.)
