I stop by Gracious Plenty every chance I get. It helps that hey are close to by house. I normally stop in and pick up lunch or busy days. My favorite item is the Tomato Basil soup. It just cannot be beat. Through in a BLT and you have a great lunch. Sometimes I will order the fries and/or a cookie. Both are excellent. I have been lucky enough for several of my organization to order catering for Gracious Plenty. The Catered meals were a hit. This place is a hidden gem. I must admit, I know about it but don't often go in because I'm either eating from a bad or want more of a sit down experience. This is in between. Order from the counter and sit at one of the tables or take to go. Both are convenient options. They don't have a lot of hot menu items. Mostly sandwiches and salads. But they have a nightly special for $10! What a nice surprise! Tonight's dinner was fried chicken, collard greens, Mac n cheese, cornbread and coleslaw. That's a lot of food for $10! Manager is a d*ckhead. Employees are unprofessional besides a select few and those select few always tell me about how the manager picks on the better employees and lets the slackers do whatever. Definitely does not sound like a job these poor teenagers should have. Food is decent but poor quality for how insane the prices are. It's also either way too hot in there or freezing cold. First time trying Gracious Plenty was for lunch on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend - this place was busy! The food exceeded my expectations - I had the turkey wrap on a tomato tortilla. The turkey and the cream cheese spread were very good, but the tortilla itself was super flavorful - usually spinach or tomato tortillas are just green or red yet flavorless, but this one actually tasted tomato-y. I had fruit salad on the side, which really should just be called a fruit cup because it was just cut up fruit, no dressing or seasoning. Husband had the pear & blue cheese salad with shrimp added. He really enjoyed it, but the dressing was the low point - it's a vinaigrette that separates really easily, so it was hard to combine the layers in the little condiment cup it came in, which is important if you're a dressing dipper instead of a dressing pourer. I'm not sure if this is a Covid thing or an "everyone is short staffed" thing, but my wrap and other sandwiches were served on regular ol' paper plates like you'd buy for your family at Target. Husband's salad came in a clear to-go container with a large paper plate for him to move it to, which seemed a little odd as well. Despite a little bit of weirdness with the presentation, the food was really solid and VERY affordable. We would definitely return for a super casual lunch. read more

This place doesn't draw you in just on sight alone but then your coworker comes in with something smelling like heaven and you can't wait to go! They have the most amazing fries--I know that can't be what keeps them in business but I love their truffle fries with a light dusting of parmesan and parsley! They're perfect. Their sandwiches aren't as adventurous and fun as other places I've been to but I enjoy the basics. I've tried most of them and they're pretty much what they are. They have take away meals that I've never tried but may have to give a whirl one night. They are always so friendly and helpful when you go in--and it's always nice to go somewhere local. I don't ever order from their case, I'm not sure how long the pastries sit there but they don't ever appear to be super fresh. read more

This was our first trip in and the staff was incredible! My 5th grader was being super picky. The chef came out and talked with her about what she was wanting and then found a way to make her happy. I mean wow! It's seems like too many places have lost a personal touch but the team here at Gracious Plenty clearly delivered exceptional service to my family. All of our meals were great, even our picky child said it was one of her best meals and suggested they should add her custom order to their menu! I ordered carryout from Gracious Plenty a couple days ago for dinner. I felt safe picking up the food from the counter inside. They were out of their soups and some of their other sides by the time I ordered (~5:30pm) but the food we got was delicious!! We had the portabella wrap, Reuben on rye, and sides of truffle fries and the Strawberry Orange Salad. And our total before tip was only about $17 for two people. Finally some good brunch spots moving out to this end of Louisville/Prospect! Have been here a few weekend mornings for brunch. They have your standard breakfast options ie omelettes, pancakes, French toast. They have good sandwiches as well. I'm kicking myself for not checking in before picking the food up since there was a check in offer!! We've ordered from here for our office so many times and it's ridiculously over priced and underwhelming! The BLT sandwich took 15 mins to get to my take out order and with a bag of chips and a tea cost me over $8!!! The tea is the best part of the entire place. Small but surprisingly good. They have a limited menu and don't look like much from the outside. I went for breakfast which was simple, pancakes, French toast , omelette. Omelette was big and fluffy, very tasty. Toast , grits, and pancake were better than most, but not amazing. Decent affordable breakfast, but only served 8-2 on weekends. They have a section of premade meals for around 8-10 bucks, we had 2 of them so far and were very pleased with taste and value. Salad was SO GOOD! There is something about the combination of goat cheese and strawberries that is just out of this world. We came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We ordered the Derby Breakfast with a side of home fries, coffee, a blondie and lemon cookies. The cheese grits had good texture and flavor. The sausage and biscuit was sufficient as were the over easy eggs. The pancake was better than average and had a very nice crunch on the edges :) We even got a free brownie upon checking in. The service was super friendly and really accomodating. Only side note is that if you are looking for strong coffee - we didn't find it there on that day. read more

This restaurant is a welcome addition to the Prospect area. The food is well-prepared. The first time I got the turkey tetrazzini and my husband enjoyed his Benedictine sandwich and chili. Both were delicious and we enjoyed the praline cookies. The second time we went there for lunch I had the open face hot ham and asparagus sandwich and the orange and strawberry salad. My husband liked his meal so well the first time that he ordered it again. (And that from a picky eater). Our daughter on a special diet had the salad and the hot turkey and dried tomato sandwich with provolone. We really enjoyed the meal and plan to return often. read more
