Great food and staff. Pizza was made with fresh ingredients and a great price. Highly recommend going to the pizza shop and deli.

Quick & simple yet so tasty! Was greeted quickly and given recommendations based on what I like. The food came out fast and was delicious. It's hard to do simple things incredibly good, but they nailed it. Sweet tea was also divine.

Best little deli in Louisville, great quality sandwiches, huge menu, friendly folks. This is a go-to locallunch spot for my friends and family. Salads are also great! Pro tip: call for soups of the day

This staff is so patient and helpful. Oh my goodness. If I lived here, I would frequent this place alot. The sweet cashier helped me out so much as my first time here. My family got the kids pizza which they graciously made cheese only and I was able to buy goldfish and kids drink separately for my toddler who wouldn't eat a full meal but make a fuss about not getting what big sister got as far as her favorite drink and goldfish lol. We also got the Rufus and valley veg wrap. Both were great. The shop is very cozy and it was clean. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

Deli has lots of Sandwhich and salad options, friendly staff, efficient service, sampling options to help select a salad. Pretty straight forward dining room, we opted to sit outside. I had the locomotive sandwich which was a panini pressed roast beef. Tasty, however lettuce wilted which was a bit of a letdown, I might have preferred a sturdier green that could better withstand the heat of the press or remove it altogether

I was hungry and knew if I didn't eat now I wouldn't be able to eat for a while, enter Red Pepper. I ordered the Tuna Melt and it was better than it looked like it was going to be. It came with a small bag of chips but was a little pricey at $8.75. The service was also a little slow but I would imagine they are short staffed like everyone else. Overall everything was positive and will go back under the right circumstances.

We split a Colonel. It came with chips and a pickle. The deli meat was fresh and so was the roll it was on. Great deli sandwich.

So good. The broccoli cheddar soup was AMAZING and had decent sized pieces of broccoli. The sandwiches are good too.

Great variety of sandwiches from savory to spicy. Soups were satisfying. I'd chose here over a McAllisters or Panera any day.

Delicious menu and sides. Can take a while during weekdays as crowds begin to outweigh the overall experience and value.

The sourdough toast was delicious! I also really enjoyed the salted mocha coffee, the flavor was rich! The amount of variety on the menu was pretty nice, looks like there's something here for most people. I had the Cobb Salad and was happy with the amount of colorful vegetables and toppings on my plate. It comes with mixed greens (glad to see more salads with mixed greens instead of romaine), roasted chicken, nice crispy bacon, a hardboiled egg, blue cheese, black olives, tomato, avocado and a good amount of dressing. It tastes very fresh and is a decent portion size, but in terms of flavor there wasn't much going on. It tastes like "greens" and that's kinda it. I don't know what the cause is, like it's seasoned but I just didn't get much flavor. Perhaps my pallet prefers stronger flavors over lighter ones, so take this with a grain of salt (figuratively, or maybe literally). If you're in the area, check em out.

Colored me intrigued...and also super surprised. Delizie Italiane is less than a mile from the YMCA, where my daughter had an event today. It has a rustic vibe (it's in a former railroad station), with wood beams and exposed brick. I ordered the Mortadella sandwich, served with ferro wheat salad or fruit. Sandwiches are served on bread from one of our favorites, Blue Dog Bakery. My sandwich consisted of thinly sliced imported mortadella with pistachios topped with lettuce, tomato, sliced Swiss cheese, thinly sliced red onion, and a mild or spicy giardiniera (pickled Italian pepper and vegetable salad) all on a Pugliese roll. I opted for wheat salad. I also tried the homemade minestrone soup (in a beef broth) and my three-year-old's buttered noodles and Parmesan. Sliced bread and oil for dipping was provided for the table. Everything I tasted was phenomenal, fresh, and authentic. To say that I'm pleasantly surprised to find this gem in Buckner is an understatement. The interior was cozy on this rainy day and the service was as warm as the atmosphere. I can't comment too much on the prices (my mother was treating to lunch) but it seemed average based on the menu and below average cost when considering the exceptional quality. It's my understanding that they currently serve breakfast and lunch and also have pop-up dinners. They had several specials posted on the blackboard. This is a business you don't want to sleep on. I live in an area with hundreds of food options with in a few mile radius and I would absolutely drive an extra half hour to revisit Delizie Italiane. I can't wait to work my way through the entire menu.

We had a conversation with the owner who has degrees in Food Science and Culinary Arts, and is passionate about "changing the world with food." The inside is cozy, inviting, and meticulously clean. There is a small bar area and an area of table seating. Outdoor seating is available as well. The bistro is known for one of its appetizer small plates of deviled eggs. The owner said that the recipe for the eggs is one of the few things he is not wiling to share! Employees and patrons have drawn pictures of deviled eggs that are displayed on a wall space. I opted for the grilled chicken Greek salad. Greek salad is a favorite of mine and I have eaten it from numerous restaurants. By far, this was the best I have ever had. The artful presentation, fresh ingredients, and decadent flavors were a real treat. The chicken was so tender and again, the flavor bloomed in my mouth. The owner brought out a small serving of homemade peach ice cream that had been made the day before with fresh peaches. I simply have no words for how delicious it was. I will let my husband describe his experience in his yelp account, but I will say that after having salmon the night before at an 'upscale' restaurant in Louisville, he commented that the salmon at this bistro "blew it away!" People often say "I will return and try other menu options," when in fact they do not follow through. That will not be the case with us, we both agree that we cannot wait to return!
