Dessert is served... delicious chocolate covered ice cream!

First time and DEFINITELY not my last time at Butchr Bar. I passed by this place SO many times wondering what it was all about, and last night, my curiosity FINALLY paid off! As the name suggests, you're going to get some delicious meat here. In our case, it was house made charcuterie and a wonderful ribeye, all done with an Australian flair! For the mix and match charcuterie, we went with the Boar Salami and the Peads and Barnett Saucisson alongside some delicious cheeses... Brillat-Savarin and D'Ambert Blue to be exact. Add that to some grilled toast and you have my definition of heaven. These came with pickled vegetables which also nicely pleased the palate! But let's face it, you want to hear about the meat, right? The 8oz grass-fed ribeye was amazing! Perfectly cooked medium rare, sliced, and served with a homemade ketchup type sauce, a mustard sauce, and shredded horseradish. The biggest surprise was the Meyer lemon wedge...I was skeptical at first, but boy, did that lemon juice add something special to the meat! When I saw beef tallow fries as a side, I had to say yes! I never eat fries anymore, but happily broke my ban with these crispy wonders that were served with a homemade Bernaise sauce. What's that expression? "Don't be sad the fries are gone, be happy you devoured them all." Ok, I may have taken some poetic license here, but you get my point. Of the two desserts, we went for the milk chocolate covered ice-cream bar, inspired by a famous Aussie dessert favorite. The chocolate was perfect and such a nice note on which to end the meal. Besides being a top-notch restaurant, they also sell their meat and have different themed offerings each day of the week, including some cooked for 48 hours in an old fashioned smoker! Service was perfect too... if you glanced their way, they came right over to answer any questions. Also, loved the 'no-rush' feeling when it was time for the check. We'll be back to try their burger soon, but don't bother me if you see me dreamily chewing!

Stopped in and found 2 seats at the bar. Atmosphere was warm, staff were inviting and helpful, food was beautiful, delicious, and well priced. Perfect neighborhood spot!

Really lovely evening here a couple nights ago. The charcuterie was very simple but delicious. My favorite was the lamb salami. Wines were solid. The steaks a dipping sauces were incredible. But what really sold it was the friendly no rushed customer service and ambience. Would definitely return.

This place is a chic little spot, all muted tones and stylish details straight off a Pinterest board. At first, we were seated at a bar-edge table with awkwardly high chairs that left almost no legroom. My husband and I aren't big people, but it was uncomfortable. We asked to move, and they graciously accommodated us. Not long after, the couple seated there requested lower chairs too, so clearly we weren't alone. The design here leans more toward aesthetics than function--there was even a perfectly sized table reserved for books and plants that could have probably been utilized for diners. Still, the cozy, lived-in touches, like the coat rack and the homey décor, created the vibe of having dinner at a friend's fashionably curated house, which was warm and inviting. We started with the grilled asparagus, which came with a horseradish sauce that added a sharp, peppery bite to the smoky char--balanced and bold without overwhelming. The market salad was crisp and refreshing, full of bright flavors that cut through the richness of the meal to come. For mains, we ordered the Wild Rivers Purebred Wagyu MS8+ Picanha and the Oakley Wagyu Bavette Steak MS7. Both were absolutely exquisite--tender, juicy, and deeply flavorful, with a melt-in-your-mouth quality that spoke for the quality of the cuts. The seasonings and sauces on the side paired seamlessly with each bite, enhancing rather than distracting from the beef. Definitely one of the bests we've ever had. For drinks, I had the lemonade--an excellent balance of tart and sweet that felt perfectly refreshing alongside the heavier dishes. My husband had a West Coast IPA, which complemented the richness of the steaks with its crisp bitterness. Our server was friendly and attentive and checked in at the right moments, making sure our glasses were never empty. His genuine hospitality really elevated the whole experience and made us feel well cared for. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered and would highly recommend this spot to anyone in search of a great steak in a stylish intimate setting.

Great steakhouse in Echo Park. If you're looking for a good steak, it's worth consideration. This is a great place for an Australian spin for steak. They're an all in one shop- they cut the meat, they age the meat, and they cool the meat. The menu is pretty basic, and they're focusing on things they can do well. The steaks are mouth watering, the salads are good, and the deviled eggs are possibly the best I've ever had. It's obvious they take pride in their food. One particular highlight is the wine list. The wine list isn't super long. Instead it's a smaller selection of tasty wines that pair well with the food here. Instead of a few generic bottles, it's wine that compliments the food. This is a nice highlight that I personally feel isn't as common as it could be. Seating is limited, and there's street parking only.

I used to drive past Butchr Bar on Glendale Blvd all the time... finally stopped in one afternoon back in April - and I've been back three times since. It's that good. First things first: GET THE CHARCUTERIE BOARD. It is next level. Easily the best I've had in LA. Every single cured meat on it has a distinct, bold flavor (from smoky to spiced to melt-in-your-mouth buttery) and it's perfectly paired with a soft cheese that balances it all out. I don't usually rave about boards but... this one deserves it. Also a must: the beef tartare. Made with dry-aged beef, seasoned with garlic, topped with a quail egg yolk, and served with grilled bread and olive oil - the texture, the richness, the seasoning... just perfection. I've also tried the steak, which was so tender you could cut it with a bread knife. Cooked beautifully, super flavorful, and served with charred broccolini that tasted like it came straight off the grill. The Aussie burger is another star (but only available during lunch hours). Everything here, from starters to mains, is treated with care and fire and intention. These folks know their way around meat. The interior is moody, sleek, and minimal, but still casual and relaxed. Wooden accents, open kitchen, and cozy lighting. It's intimate but never stuffy. Service? Always a 10. Warm, attentive, and the team actually knows the menu - they've made great recommendations every time I've come in. Butchr Bar is the kind of place you want to tell everyone about, but also keep to yourself. A true gem.

The butchr burger. One of the best burgers to grace my mouth.

In the conversation for best burger in Los Angeles . No seriously. Combines the world of an Aussie pub with that of a butcher shop. For real: dry-aged steaks visible. They import a lot of their meats from down under itself. And you can taste the quality difference. The butchr bar burger consists of dry-aged ribeye blend and what, at first glance, looks to be an odd concoction of pickled beats and other ingredients served on a sesame bun. What is this strange potion? This strange brew is delicious. The patty is so fresh, and tastes like it literally came straight out of the slaughterhouse that day. One of the best. No joke. Highly recommend.

This place is great. Hidden in the open, it is one the corner near Clark Street bakery and A Good Used Book. Fantastic quality of meat that is primarily a butcher for lamb and beef from Australia with various charcuterie and aged meats. There is dinner five nights a week, a natural wine list, and cheese and charcuterie boards. Also some dry goods like olive oil from Italy available for purchase. The service is friendly and parking is easily available for free on the street

Excellent dry aged meat in a beautiful hip space with thoughtful menu options. Reservations Reservations recommended, easily done online. Try to make a reservation a couple of days in advance, as the space is limited, but you can try your luck with the bar seating. Ambiance Relatively small interior, but there are a variety of tables including those for slightly bigger groups (8?) and small wooden stools for seating. Decor is warmly lit, with pink paint, murals, dried flowers, and marble tops. A cozy feel and stylish. Nice ceramic lamps are beautiful accents to the bar area Menu and food and drinks The menu is a single page with a lot of showstoppers, designed for sharing. There's always a market salad available, a range of appetizers, steaks, charcuterie boards. The drinks menu includes bubbles, orange and pink wines, whites and reds, all have by the glass options with non-alcoholic options and cocktails as well. We ordered a glass of the nebiolo and a glass of the velias, both very interesting natural red wines that paired well with the steak. Appetizer: the beef tartare is a must order. It is made with dry aged meat, from the picanha cap portion of beef. A deep, beefy flavor. Seasoned with garlic and also served with a quail egg yolk, with bread and olive oil. Stunning, unlike traditional tartare but in an excellent way and one of the best I've ever had. 25 day age purebred Australian wagyu steak, served with a shallot marmalade (deeply flavored), pairing well with the medium rare sliced steak, which was so soft that we didn't need anything but our bread knives to cut. The broccolini was charred over charcoal, really well cooked and was a delicious smokey side to the steak. Parking Street parking is readily available, a luxury and Silverlake. Service Service was friendly and welcoming. They mentioned that this place has been open for just 4 months! Our server was very helpful to help us decide on drinks given what we were ordering on the menu. Overall, an excellent experience in a beautiful spot, and we would definitely love to be back and try more on the menu!

This place is soo cute and cozy! We are a big fan of their diverse charcuterie options, especially since we are pork free! The lamb salami was so tender and paired deliciously with our wine and pickled veggies. Very affordable and the service is incredible. We can't wait to come back and bring our friends!

This hidden gem right here! I always drove by this place daily and would have never of known this place. Thsi place is a must to aged steaks, salami, charcuterie, wine, other types of food, good service, good ambience the table, right by the big window is really nice cause you could sort of see the view of downtown LA at the night time. Even to the to the bathroom, the soap even smells good.Haha Her server was a very nice gentleman. I already forgot his name, but he was very friendly and we were able to take a few different types of wine until we figure out what we want to go with. I will be back.

The Butchr Bar is a recently opened restaurant that specializes in salami, and Australian wagyu steak. Some of the dishes I ordered with my husband were the cheese platter, dry-aged wagyu, boar salami, and beef salami. The cheese platter had a good combination of blue cheese and goat Gruyère. Although I'm not a fan of goat, the Gruyère had me blown away. It was overall a well-rounded cheese due to its nuttiness and sharp taste. The cheese platter was complimented with roasted macadamia in beef tallow. This had to be the best macadamia I've ever had. The beef tallow brings out the flavor of the macadamia itself, making it a great snack with the cheese. Another unique item I tried in the restaurant was their boar salami. The boar salami had a good mixture of fennel seeds, fat, and meat. Like their wagyu steak, the salami itself instantly melted in my mouth. The beef salami, I would say, is another great choice. Although it wasn't as fatty as the boar salami, it was still a nice meat to eat with their cheese platter. The server, Ricardo, made the experience more enjoyable. You can tell the love, and passion he has for food. He even helped my husband find his new favorite red wine! The Butchr Bar is a hidden diamond in Los Angeles. If you are a fan of cheese, salami, and steak, you have to give this restaurant a try.

Beyond Phenomenal!!! No need to go to any other LA restaurant for meat dishes. Filling, yet light. Super fresh. Incredibly flavorful, delicious and natural tasting.

We didn't have reservations, but we were able to grab a table inside at around 5:30pm on a Saturday. This place was busy. I really liked the Hamachi Crudo. That was so good, but there's only 4 slices for about $21. It's dressed in a ponzu yuzu sauce. It was so good that we ended up pouring the left over sauce on to our Tuna Tostada. Both items were fresh and I could not taste any fishiness. We also ordered the Mushroom Risotto and Cacio e Pepe. I thought the risotto was good, but the rice was definitely undercooked. I would have said something, but we didn't have much time left. The pasta reminded me of Mac n Cheese. I thought it was way too salty and didn't really do it for me. Kind of disappointed in the mains, but the 2 apps were really good.
