This small restaurant really had a nice family feel to it. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. She did her best to accommodate us and truly cared about doing the best she could. Our family has been patronizing Butch's Pizza for over 50 years. Butch never waivered with his pizza recipe. Always delicious. Just this year they have changed the sausage/sausage recipe/supplier. Not good. There is a nasty after taste, does not even come close to Butch's sausage. Why? Why change something great? We will not be purchasing anymore. So disappointed. Ordered the "take and bake" pizzas for a small gathering in our home for the Packer game. The pizzas were easy to prepare and really delicious. I guess our only issue with the baking process was the instructions were not real clear when it came to the preparation time....no specific baking time, just bake until cheese is golden brown. I had to stop here after seeing the commercials. I read the reviews and I have to say I don't necessarily agree with them. The building is small but I wasn't crowded at all. I had plenty of space. The food was very good but don't go thinking this is a different place. They have their own specialties. We got a taco pizza and I found myself wanting to compare it to Happy Joes. It was good but the Butch's Pizza was a lot better (I like thin crust too). The chili was very good too and hit the spot on a day that the weather is -20. read more

Visited Butch's pizza for the first time after moving to the area several months ago. We had high hopes due to other reviews and the length of time this restaurant has been in the area. Unfortunately our experience left us less than impressed. We ordered breadsticks to start. They were bland and tasted like they were frozen. The accompanying sauce was also bland and tasteless. This worried me as I assumed it would be the same sauce they used for their pizzas. We ordered the "Butch's Special" pizza and this too was unimpressive. The crust was wet and soggy and the pizza had no flavor. A good sauce is an intricate part of a good pizza and the same bland sauce that we got with our breadsticks was apparently used on our pizza as suspected. The staff was very friendly, that's the only reason I gave them two stars instead of one. We really wanted to like this place and make it our go to local pizza joint. Unfortunately, due to this experience, we will not be back. If we want pizza like this we can get a cheap frozen pizza from a grocery store. read more

Stopped in tonight for the first time. Was simply driving by hungry, and decided to give it a try. I had a double Swiss, with a side of fries. I personally though the burger was pretty good. The burger was on the smaller side; not built for the hardy appetite, but well worth the $5.75 price tag. All in all, I was very happy with my meal here, and I will be back. The restaurant itself is on the smallish side--you'll be able to get a table, but you'll be packed in like sardines, especially if you go with your kids. I've had both dine-in and take-out pizza here, and appreciate that they do charge a little bit less for their "fresh" takeouts (to be finished in your own oven at home). I was a bit disappointed with the pizza. I remember the crust being crispier, but on this particular day they piled on the cheese and I think it made the pizza being soggy. Maybe? We ordered this place at my husbands request because he is obsessed with the tuna pizza. I'm from California so this is my first experience. We ordered delivery: perch with a side of potato salad, fried mac n cheese, cheese curds, tuna pizza, and taco pizza. The perch was good I would order it again I give it a solid 7/10. The cheese curds were just OKAY for being in Wisconsin honestly. I rate them 3/10 (I prefer Culver's honestly). The fried Mac n cheese bites get a 2/10 they are good if you're drunk but they taste like frozen food. The potato salad I won't even review because I don't want to sound mean. I am black so I imagined black people potato salad but it tastes like white people made it (no offense!). But E for effort. I didn't like the fact that the potatoes were still hard and there were chunks of egg in it. The tuna pizza was a good 7.5/10; you couldn't really taste the tuna. We moved to Kimberly about a year ago and try to make it a point to eat locally. We were excited to see a family owned pizza place right down the street from our new house! We have now eaten there a few times and have decided that while not phenomenal, Butch's pizza is a good, local option when we want to skip Pizza Hut or Domino's. We have really only had the pizza and garlic bread from Butch's so I cannot comment on the rest of the food. The thin crust pizza is pretty good, although we find the sauce to be super salty... still good, but definitely plan on drinking a lot of water the rest of the day. The garlic bread is nothing to write home about, but it's bread and it's garlic so whatever. I usually go and pick up our order. No matter when we order it's pretty standard 20 minutes til pick up. The staff is super friendly and the one time they made a mistake were very apologetic and comped us the item they forgot to make. The restaurant is super small and honestly, I don't know that we would ever go in and eat there with a bigger family, but the dining in option seems popular. We had pizza delivered once and the delivery person was odd (didn't say anything, etc). Regardless, while it is not my favorite option in this area it definitely works for some quick pizza! read more

What happened to Butch's pizza? Pizza was lacking on sauce with a lot less and not the "butch's taste" that made it the best. Sausage was tiny bits and less of it. This was just a below average pizza compared to other pizza restaurants in the area. Sad and disappointing... they used be so awesome. Went for the first time last week. I can say I wasn't impressed. Staff was very friendly but if you needed anything you had to go up to the counter. I had to have my credit card charged separate for a tip. Pizza was pretty bland. One of the pizzas we ordered the crust was soggy. Way better pizza places if you want to travel 10-15 minutes. Outstanding experience. I think Butch's should receive an award for the most friendly employees. You pay when you order but the employees who deliver the food to the table are more than happy to get refills, and attend to you needs. A pitcher of soda is $1 with the order of a jumbo pizza. The topping are fresh and the veggies have some water weight so cooking the pizza extra crispy may be a good idea. They put the most cheese on the pizza in this part of Wisconsin, that's a lot! Delicious!!! The mozzarella garlic bread had a great flavor, they use a real garlic paste and a lot of cheese! The break could be baked a bit longer to support the garlic and cheese though. One of my favorite places for a thin crust pizza. The environment is part of the experience and Butch's captures both. The decor is a bit dated but it is a warm, welcoming and laid back environment that is fun for the whole family. They have delicious appetizers and their thin crust pizza is unique and delicious! I would highly recommend giving them a try - originally being from Chicago my parents even love going there when they are in town...which says a lot with all the excellent thin crust pizza in the suburbs of Chicago. We saw the commercial for this place 2 hours north of Kimberly last night and the pizza looked so dang good that we drove over today to try it out while heading to Appleton. OH MY GOD IT WAS WORTH IT!! The woman working the register recommended we try the Rueben and the Butch's Special (I.e. Supreme) so we got them both. She even asked us if we wanted fresh or canned mushrooms since they give a different consistency, which was super unique touch since I don't think I've ever had a pizza place ask that. As for the food, this was insanely good. We started with the Rueben pizza, and the combo between the kraut and the 1,000 island sauce was very indicative of a Rueben, so of course we cleaned our plates and demolished the pie. Then our Butch's Special came out and it was a delicious supreme pizza with juicy mushrooms as advertised (we went with the fresh ones). I loved that the pizzas were both thin crust too, so we could eat them "guilt-free". Overall, this was a little hole in the wall place that just had really great food, a cozy atmosphere, and great service. Definitely going to make it on our list of stops whenever we're driving through. 5 stars!!!! read more
