Nice selection of mixers with apple cider; Apple cider mule and apple cider mimosa. Nice list of beers! Ordered a pizza each, always great next morning. I had Dad's very good; my wife did the classic; Both good but I liked the onions on the classic as well; we exchanged a taste of each. Nice place; big place. Ate here for the first time, had the Dads Pizza. It was just OK. The pizza didn't have much flavor. Honestly I've had a better slice from a gas station and a more flavorful pie from the pizza pizza guy. That being said I don't think you'll be disappointed just don't expect to be impressed. Kind of an odd place with Italian food, warehouse feel, southwestern decor, and a Christian cross near the restrooms. The pizza is good but nothing special. The texture is a bit limp/chewy and the pizza is a bit greasy, but they have good toppings and sauce. read more

It's easy to drive past this little strip. A gym buddy recommended this place, and I decided to give it a try, as I hadn't had pizza in a while. It's a cozy little joint, not super big but it wasn't bothersome. I was flying solo so I popped down at the bar with a glass of water and ordered a classic pizza (how else can you gauge a pizza place?). Disclaimer: I did swap the sausage for pepperoni. The service was quite quick, and I had a pizza within ten minutes or so. It came out nice and hot (I probably shouldn't have dug in so quickly). A very bold sauce accompanied everything you would expect from a classic pizza. And then it happened: I hit a piece of pepperoni. I had been wondering if it was on there, then it just showed up; this was very flavorful pepperoni. I did go ahead and dust the remaining pieces with a little Parmesan (not something I usually do) which added a little extra texture which was a nice touch. The onions and mushrooms were high quality as well. My only complaint would be there weren't enough toppings. But with such great flavor I can't really complain TOO much, and it's not really a big enough deal to lose a star. More of it would just be better. Overall, this is a great little spot for wood fired pizza. I definitely recommend trying it out. Small addendum as I posted this before the check came: apparently my pepperoni swap got rang in ad a build your own which costs more. As a frugal (often too much so) person I feel this is important to bring up. If the server had mentioned this I would think nothing of it but I'm not a huge fan of undisclosed charges. I'm still leaving the five stars as it was a solid pizza. Will re-evaluate if it happens again. read more

Been a lil under the weather so my sweet sis-in-law delivered dinner to me last night..just that she cared enough to think of me was loving enough! I began that thought as I took the first bite of THE VERY BEST SAUSAGE & CHEESE PIZZA I HAVE EVER EATEN!!! Not BSing. The dough and crust are both light and chewy with enough "give" that you slightly have to pull the slice away from your teeth but not in an aggressive or hard way..make sense? Pizza and I have a torrid love affair. Most of the time sausage combined with the tomato sauce can leave me with the worst case of indigestion. I was wary to eat it because I am fresh out of acid relief and never had Christiano's before. Not one iota of a problem. I did not toss and turn in the middle of the night trying to get relief! This is not a full service restaurant like the Oshkosh location was. It is a fast and casual place where you order at the counter. Didn't know that until we decided to go here. If you want pizza and a beer... good place. If you want any non-pizza item bad choice. Got a chicken calzone... skimpy on the chicken but filled with lettuce and excessive on the dough. Got meatballs and they were cold... the house salad has no tomatoes or cucumbers.... Very pricey for a bowl of arugula. read more

Great spot for delicious wood fire pizza. They make it fresh to order every time. A great variety as well. We got the BBQ chicken and margarita for three adults. It was perfect amount. The ingredients all taste fresh and great quality over all. The inside has some big community tables and round tables as well. There is a large bar along one wall with some drafts and wine. Finally a local wood fired pizza restaurant! Ate here for the first time today and was not disappointed. We ordered the 12" vegetable pizza with a side of cheesy bread. The cheesy bread had the perfect blend of cheese and garlic without having too much of either thing. The pizza was amazing! The crust was everything you would expect with wood fired - soft enough to chew yet with the slightest bit of charred deliciousness. The sauce was great, and the cheese wasn't too heavy. It takes a minute to figure out the details...you seat yourself but order at the counter (including your bar drink order) but the girls were super helpful In getting us situated. That being said, the staff was great. Friendly and available enough to answer questions and get you what you need without being overbearing. I am for sure this place a 5 star review. We were in town for a soccer tournament and really had a craving for pizza. Based on some other yelp reviews and pics it looked like a wood fired pizza place, which is our favorite. We had the cheese sticks, 2 Hawaiian Pizza's and calzone. The pizza was amazing, the calzone was not quite as good. As it was really just a pizza cooked half way then flipped in half. Not like most where it is baked like a pizza pocket. Pizza here is fantastic! Only one size available at this location, no issues, order 2 they are not expensive. We each eat less than half and take home another pizza to go, with beers still only $34.00. Try everything on the menu! Calzones are huge, pizzas are all 12", cooked at 800 degrees. Very disappointed! Our family stopped by in this evening for dinner. We had been to the Greenlake and Wautoma locations over the years and love both. This location is Very different. No table service, no drink service, no water, no napkins and the pizza was terrible. Flavorless, flat, skimpy toppings. We will return to Christianos in greenlake and wautoma but not Appleton. Great wood fired pizza! We had a Hawaiian, a Margherita, and a classic. All were delicious. The crust is what you expect from a wood fired pizza and the sauce was perfect, not too sweet. We happened to go on a Friday at 6:30 and the place was near full, yet the wait for the food wasn't bad at all. The decor in the building is also very cute and up to style. I'm so glad Appleton has a specialty pizza restaurant! The location is super convenient and the staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful every time we've been in. The space is very open with plenty of seating (including at the bar) and bonus outdoor seating during the warmer summer months! First trip to this restaurant. We got a Caesar salad with chicken and a children's pizza and 2 sodas. The total came to $32. Had to take the salad dressing back because it was so oily and had no taste at all so ended up with ranch dressing on a caesar salad. The pizza was ok, but not what is could have been. Just so-so. What struck me was that there were 6 guys working in the open kitchen that people could watch. Of the six, I watched 3 of these guys all on their phones at the same time. I Phones are dirty, these guys were scrolling on their phones, then the guy making the pizza would take out a ball of pizza dough and make a pizza....without washing his hands first. If you have an open kitchen where customers can watch what is going on, you really should make sure your people are doing their jobs and doing it right. This was very disappointing to me. read more

I had high hopes. The pizza is not expensive. The staff is friendly. We ordered a "Dad's Pizza" which is Sausage, Pepperoni and mushrooms. We also ordered a Margarita pizza with tomato, basil and mozzarella. The mushrooms were canned, not fresh. The margarita pizza didn't have sliced tomatoes, but really just basil and mozzarella over marinara sauce. It was not bad, but it didn't have much flavor. I had hoped a restaurant taking the time and effort to do wood fired pizza would wow me with premium toppings. The crust was nice but the flavor was less than a Dominoes or Pizza Hut. I came here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting just another old fashioned pizza place but when I walked in I was greeted by young faces and a modern venue. It was easy to order and the food was very well priced($10 for a 12' pizza). There is an option for outdoor seating which is as relaxing as the indoor area. The food was delicious. The Margherita with tomatoes is truly my new favorite pizza in the area, along with the cheesy bread, see the 5 stars. However I feel I should point out using paper plates, paper napkins, plastic cups, paper wrapped silverware etc. is a pretty big buzzkill. I assume it's a time saver for you guys, but it's a wildly big and nonsense waste issue. Usually it's better to eat at the restaurant versus takeout, but in this case it'd be way less wasteful for me to get a takeout pizza. read more

Been there a few times. Last night will be my last. Pizza has very little sauce, cheese, and toppings. Fresh mushrooms are not that expensive. Looked like they used one mushroom on entire pizza. Wine pour was very skimpy as well. Left disappointed and not feeling like it was a good value for what we spent. read more
