The small place is a big gem. They offer incredible service that it's very attentive, well mannered, and informative. The best part is the food: that pizza was so amazing. you want to speak Italian. The flavors were fresh and delicious. The crust is exactly what you would expect if you were in Italy yourself eating the best pizza ever! A perfect chew, a perfect char, and just great flavor. It became my favorite pizza of all time.

we have been patrons of Via since it opened. We really like the service , management, however, the pizzas have been on the skimpy side .

Ambiance: cute, cozy and intimate lighting which is perfect date night vibe and there were still some bigger parties accommodated. Arrived and it was packed and still not very noisy. Service: Nick was awesome! Knowledgeable, friendly and personable. There's a level of pride in the work that he does that screams unreasonable hospitality (IYKYK) and paced my courses out beautifully. Wine recommendation was on point and attention to others didn't lapse. All tables felt his presence. Food: House salad was easily the best red wine vinaigrette that I've ever had. The garlic was the perfect kick. Scallops appetizer were sweet and perfectly cooked through and the spinach/basil cream sauce that was under and surrounded the dish was amazing (and I don't or at least didn't think I liked basil!). For dinner I hate the halibut and mushroom risotto which was cooked to perfection. The risotto does have onions which I missed and didn't care for but they took care and offered me a separate bed which I thought was incredibly nice. For dessert I had the chocolate cake which was delicious. Coffee/espresso hints and perfect texture of cake to filling. I will be back for sure!

They were extremely friendly and accommodating and had no problem getting all of us taken care of. I kept it pretty simple and got a burger and a beer. The burger was really good and everything came out well, especially considering how many of us there were. What really stood out though was the service. One person in our group is extremely picky about how she likes her steak cooked and ended up sending it back three times. Each time they were friendly about it and genuinely seemed more concerned with getting it right for her than being annoyed about having to remake it again. For us to come in with 25 people on such short notice and still have everyone be so friendly and accommodating was really appreciated. They handled our group incredibly well and never made us feel like an inconvenience. Definitely a 5-star experience and somewhere I would come back to.

It was a Trio Diavolo, a trio of protein with squid pasta, and a red sauce. I didn't understand that the proteins were diced bits that were stirred into the red sauce pasta. I actually thought the protein was separate from a side of pasta. It disappointed me because I generally dislike seafood in red sauce, but honestly, that wasn't their fault so I still gave them a high rating. Service was friendly and playful. Pretty efficient and seemed to like their job. It is a beautiful restaurant with a pretty amazing view, even if the water is at very sad low levels. Maybe this is natural, I've never been here before. All of the wildlife/birds really enhanced the experience. Flocks of seagulls (not the band), and surprisingly large number of pelicans were wonderful to watch. You can see the riverfront exterior and distant bridge in my standard and 360° photos. They have an ordering station to place your orders for food/beer. They have a ton of board games to play while you drink or wait for your food. Great place to meet up to wind down. I've been here twice, once for drinks and once for food. Great experiences both times. Service: Friendly and informative. They have a slim team but are incredibly efficient. Food: They pizza is incredible, the crust is untouchable. I ordered the Dirty Martini pizza (they don't have it anymore *cries in salty olive tears*). This pizza is one of a kind. If anyone else had this available in the Fox Valley I would go there every week to get my fix. It's salty, savory, creamy, crunchy and CRAVE-ABLE. We ordered one other pizza on the menu that is a standard offering, The 99 Corvette. This was okay but we both fought over who got more pieces of the Dirty Martini Pizza. I can't wait to come back here for more fun.

They do not have physical menus or servers to take people's orders; customers scan a QR code to get the online menu and order at the bar area. I can't speak to the craft beer and wine aspect to the restaurant, but they do offer some delicious craft sodas for people looking for nonalcoholic options. Although they have "normal" woodfire pizza choices (traditional pepperoni, cheese, etc.), the highlight is their rotating menu of inventive specialty savory and dessert pizzas. I found their "normal" pizza to be just ok, but the tomato soup pizza (Souper Slice) was incredibly flavorful and unique! It's definitely worth taking the leap of faith for some of their more out-there sounding pizza options. Since they have limited oven space to cook the pizzas, food can take a while to come out if it's busy. Plan ahead and use that time to relax and enjoy their drinks, or come during an off-peak time for less wait.

The first thing to know is that servings are ginormous, so order accordingly! I ordered the breakfast sandwich (just a croissant with some ham and cheese) and it took up the whole plate, no lie! It was also delicious, the cheese was cheesy (and messy, which was a plus and a minus), and the croissant was light and fluffy. I also had one of their flavored lattes, and it was delicious as well. I know they use homemade syrups and it shows. Pro tip though-the lattes fill you up (not so great when they also give you huge portions of food). The staff is friendly, and service is pretty good. On our second visit we did wait quite a while for our food-it was busy, but not packed, so that felt a little off. But otherwise service has been great. They do have an outdoor seating area-we unfortunately haven't been able to try it yet, but I would like to as it looks great!
