Was charged 800 dollars to get my air conditioning fixed and they gave me my vehicle back with a new problem of the air only blowing out the defrost vents and wanted to charge me a separate charge to fix the issues they should've already fixed as it has to do with the problem I paid then to fix Crooked ass mechanics ! read more

I took my suburban to them to have the heat fixed. Price increased from 165 for a coolant flush to almost 500 dollars with their diagnosis and recommended repairs. I was told the truck heat was fixed, then the next day when I went to drive it I have no heat even after letting it warm up and driving for 30 mins. During the winter this is actually a life threatening issue, and they assured me it was fixed. I paid alot of money for no change in heat. I would not recommend trusting this shop read more

The repairs and preventative maintenance are always done efficiently and over the past year, I have not had nothing but positive, professional exchanges with this repair shop. We took our son's car there, and they did the full diagnostic test, sent us the results, and we were able to get other quotes. Based on feedback from other Auto Repair places and convenient location, we chose Butitta, and we could not have had a better first experience. I took my Toyota to their shop for a broken break line and I was quoted a very fair price. I got my car back in a timely matter. This was 2 years ago and all is well. Break line still works great. The reason I took my car to this repair shop is because it was recommended by close friends of mine. I would be cautious if you recently received an expensive auto quote from Butitta Bros, Janesville. I had a racket steering problem, and was quoted $2,800 to fix a sway bar, coil springs, struts and a power steering pump. I have worked on my autos for 50 years, and was suspicious because struts/shocks generally affect up & down motion, and not steering. I got a second opinion from Lilly Auto Care, Janesville, who fixed my problem with a new steering column for $221. Butitta Bros. charged me $57 for their fraudulent estimate, apparently prepared by ASE certified technicians. Ever since the service manager of the Janesville office, Guy Olson, was replaced by Larry Huetsch, the quality of repair service has gone to hell. read more

These guys are crooks! Three day job ended up taking 14 days..only got the job done by farming it out to another mechanic in janesville. Towed my vehicle to a dealershop to have the work done without my permission. On top of it all my check engine light came on two blocks after leaving the shop. Not making the same mistake twice by taking it back. Also noticed a few of my wrenches were missing out of my tool bag that i had stored in the back, they were not cheapo wrenches either! Fast turn around, got my car back next day. The chevy dealership said it would be $1k to just to resolve an emissions thing. They fixed that, my break problem, and changed my wheel bearing for around $600. I will definitely be going back. read more
