Scammers. Another big box company with astronomical labor prices. I came in with my Porche Macan for an oil change. I brought my own oil and my own filter. They quoted me at $170 even after bringing my own products. And when I asked why they are changing that much for labor, they said "European cars are just harder to work on". When in reality, I've changed the oil in this car myself plenty of times and the only difficulty is needing the machine to reset the service light. Just called and got a quote from another shop saying they will charge $80-90 for labor if I bring my own products. So where is the extra $100 dollars for labor coming from with this company? Find out its truly a Onr stop shop to care for your Car!!! They called me to diagnose and give cost. Before doing any work! Lota of friends and a personal mechanic referred me to use Butler! Well, overall after checking in today and going multiple issues with my Old car... they took me in without a schedule. Immediately at Noon. They ran diagnostics for problems I experienced but couldn't duplicate. It was $169 cost, but they waives coat as they couldn't duplicate the issues. Ended up getting all Tires changed, Oil change and new battery!!! $1048?!! Oh...and they have never seen a car with tires that lasted so long. Its 2024 and the last time I changed my tires was 2007!!!! ( I don't drive that much in my classic car)heh They're a great HONEST and fair company Concerning the care of your vehicle!!! I'm Hooked!!! Something every girl needs is a good mechanic. When my 'go to' repair shop was sold and I found the new management didn't have the same ethical standards as the original, I had to find a replacement place. As it turns out, we had a situation that needed immediate attention, so we visited Butler Automotive on Baston Road. They gave me fast, friendly service and none of the condescension female owners typically get from mechanics. After a discussion where the necessary work was explained and I was given choices in how to treat the issue, repairs were effected quickly and efficiently. A second visit for an unrelated matter sealed the deal. Butler Automotive (West) is my official mechanic and I can highly recommend them. I really wanted to like this place. Their customer service was pretty friendly and they seemed efficient and knowledgeable. They will even give you a ride home, if needed. I used them for a couple of brake jobs and oil changes; seemed ok. However, I also had them replace some weather seals on my driver and passenger side doors recently because water was getting into my car whenever it rained. They did the work in a timely fashion and I happily drove it home.  Unfortunately, I soon noticed that whoever had replaced the seals around my windows had also gouged and chipped the paint, as well as bent the metal in one spot. I was irritated that they hadn't told me about this issue before I had driven the car home, but figured they would rectify the situation since their customer service seemed to be good. Instead, they seemed mildly annoyed when I called and explained the issue. I brought it back in and they had it sent to a body shop to fix the gouges, so I was hopeful that the situation was going to be made right.  I received my car five days after bringing it in, only to find that all they had done was to paint over the gouges without filling them. The damage is only slightly less noticeable than it was, and the fix was certainly something I could have done at home with some touch up paint. Honestly, it looks terrible but I didn't want the inconvenience of not having my car for another week, so I took it anyway. I explained that I wasn't very happy with the outcome, but there wasn't any further effort or interest on their part. I was informed that the body shop they used "usually does good work", but that was all. I would recommend not using this place for anything more than brakes and oil changes. read more

Not real happy with this place. Took my car in for something I knew exactly what was wrong. Told them that's all I wanted done to it. Got it back later in the afternoon with a $650 repair bill. Now, the one part I knew it needed can be found online for around $150. So, either they're grossly overcharging for parts AND labor, or their labor rates are astronomical. I took my car in for a repair on a part that retails for $150 and they quoted the repair at $1600 including labor. WTF on the labor? Do not take your car to them the technician at the counter was very condescending. I think they are crooks and they prey on people who do not know anything about cars. I had a great experience here. I forgot to review it when I visited back in July 2015. I was traveling from Montana and needed to have some regular service done to my Ram 2500 Diesel truck. They did a good job at a fair price. My service consultant actually told me to wait on a few items as they were fine and could be done later, even knowing I wouldn't be giving the business to them since I would be in another state when they suggested it be completed. If I am ever in Georgia again I will be using them to service my truck. My friend had a similar experience with major work. read more

Brought my car in for an AC check..and was charged twice the price as quoted. Second quoted me a price of over 1400,00 to fix my AC. By replacing some of the same parts I replaced last year.....bottom line I fixed the leaks my self for under $100.00 .... This was a month ago and my air is still blowing COLD. Was having an issue with my car so I took it to Butler because I figured the wait at the dealership would be long. I had an idea of what the problem was. Anyway, I called to make sure that the repair would be covered under the warranty. I was told that it would be but there would be a diagnostic charge of $110. Was a little startled by the charge but I allowed them to do it anyway. Later in the afternoon I got a call saying that they had found the problem but they recommended I take the car to the dealer. Turns out the only cash I had to pay was the $110. Diagnostics, labor, and parts were all covered by the warranty at the dealer. Felt like I gave away $110. read more

Contacted Geno Sieg (Sales Representative) Friday night interested in purchasing a newer vehicle. Told him what I was looking for, price range and all, and he sent me a picture of a 2011 Ford Focus. The picture actually wasn't the color I was interested, at least at the time, told him I would have to see it in person. We made an appointment for 10:00 am Saturday Morning, but I was bored and anxious to get this progress started, so showed up at 9am instead. Sorry I got you out of your Morning Meeting. The vehicle which I was looking for HAD to be a Green color, but after finding out that they don't make Dark Green Cars since the 90's, and the picture which he sent me looked Silver, was actually a Light Green/Mint looking vehicle, caught me off guard and is a really nice looking color. Checked out the rest of the vehicle, which was awesome, very clean and then we went for the test drive. I wasn't intending on purchasing a car that day, but it couldn't be passed by and did I buy the Vehicle. All of the staff that I dealt with were very Professional and knew their business, went out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, because as you know, it is a timely matter to purchase a vehicle.
