They try and upsell you on many add ons that you don't need for your car (fuel injections, tires that have just been replaced, etc) regardless of the car's age/value, and they frequently do an upsell of about 180 dollars to go deeper than the "free inspection". This add on inspection is very thorough though, and they take videos of different parts of your car, with detailed descriptions of each that you can access for 30 days. Just for full transparency on my car's problem, I had a check engine light go on after a 15 hour drive, and after 1,200 dollars of work, the issue still persisted. They ended up giving me back my car, and quoted me another 5 grand for a very labor intensive part (head gasket), and were very pushy both times with getting me to sign and order the parts right away. I ended up getting a new car since the repairs were worth more than the vehicle, and they didn't offer towing services to the new location. They also took the windshield wipers off of my car before I picked it up to trade in, so I had no wipers?? Overall I think the car was more the issue than Jim Taylor, but I wish I knew all of this info before I came here!

When I said the transmission was obviously still in the truck there was an added $1200 removal and installation fee. Including $800 for a billet torque converter. That was fine. I found the shop two hours away from where I live in Orlando because I was in a hurry to get my truck which I use for work daily. All the shops are around my area had a 2 to 3 week turnaround time. I explained the urgency, and I wanted to make sure the truck would be done quickly and correctly. I dropped it off April 23. April 23 - truck towed to shop. April 28 - tells me truck will be ready the next day, it isn't. Sep 2 - truck was ready 11 days later. Picked up RAM. Drove it 4 miles down the road transmission overheated. Check transmission fluid. It was not reading on the dipstick called both Brian and Sarkis after stopping at the auto parts store and filling over 6 1/2 quarts of transmission fluid before it registered on the dipstick. Leave truck to make sure transmission didn't cook itself when it over heated to 275° September 11 - I was told the transmission was fixed. picked up RAM. Made a few miles down I-75 before the same TCC code popped up that I sent the truck in for. Oct 23 - Drove the truck back off after it sitting at home while I was out of town work renting a vehicle this entire time. Nov 10 - Brian said the truck was ready so I picked it up at night. Drove it to exit 220 on I-75 and the TCC stopped locking up. This is the exact same issue I dropped it off with. I have now spent over $4k to have a rental car the entire time the truck wasn't able to be driven or while at Burks. I've paid 3 months of commercial insurance on my truck at $562 a month for a total of $1686 and not driven it. Paying for an Uber from Orlando to Sarasota. I've lost contracts due to not being able to haul equipment needed for jobs. There is absolutely nothing they are willing to do to fix this. Ive never dealt with adult as unprofessional and disrespectful as Sarkis. Brian has tried to do what he can in his power I guess but I'm still left out of almost 10k in this whole ordeal and still have the truck exactly the same way as when I took it to them. The pictures are of the ad, the issue when I picked it up September 2 of the transmission overheating. And the communication between Sarkus and myself, and how he responded to me being frustrated which I had all right to be. Save yourself the aggravation and save yourself the money do not use this shop if Sarkis is involved. He made sure to ask me to Zelle him payment, so I have no recourse at getting my money back. I did have them also work on my jeep and they left the four bolts to the shifter, completely loose and it leaked transmission fluid when I picked it up from them because I had taken both my vehicles to them.

Trying to ensure they weren't just replacing parts to replace parts. They reassured us they fully tested anything. They scheduled an appointment to retest the system. So we dropped the vehicle off at 8am, we called several times during the day without a response. Finally got a call at the end of the day close to 4pm, and said now they tested it and the system seemed like there was a blockage. So they wanted to replace the Condenser and Expansion Value, for another ~$1000. I questioned the quote, and they had a hard time explaining the charges. Just that there was $650 in Labor and $350 in parts. I did some researched prices online, for Parts and Labor. I found the parts ~$75 to $150 and the average cost in her County was ~$700. When I asked why the markup was high (133%) if the place that they were getting parts from was the dealer or the part broker didn't have warranty on parts. He said and I will not forget it... "let me be honest, the owner sets the pricing. And we are located on the Island here and there is money on this Island." We won't be going back, and recommend others stay away.
